MikeO
http://home.skysports.com/list.asp?hlid=35...nel=premiership <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Seems to me that the "first option" we have on Tommy is a complete waste of time. What does it mean? That we get to talk to him first? If someone else (eg Manure) wants him and will offer him more money and better prospects(?) and if he's a traitorous mecenary bastard like most of his fellow pros then we can talk all we like but DM would be wasting his breath. RuffRob
He WILL be a Man Utd player by the end of the transfer window. He is a very good midfeilder who is cheap as chips and a stocking filler by Man Utd transfer budget standards If he really wanted to come back to Everton - the deal would have been all but done buy now. Fatboyquim
I read an interview with Gravesen when his transfer to RMD went through, he talked about only playing for one club in anyone country - and he would love to return to Everton or Hambourg SV in the future, But I suspect money comes into play and Manure can offer far higher £££££
RuffRob
I don't think it is just money to be honest - Pains me as a say, but bigger and more succesful comes in to the equation as well. At the moment big and successful we are not. I must be honest wouldn't like to see Grav's coming to Goodison in another teams colours. But if we have really only got limited funds to bring players in, a striker or two is a must with Grav's a luxery we probabley can't afford. scouse
But you also have to ask yourself why is he leaving Madrid lack of first team oportunities, at Utd will this be the same? given he would probably get more games this season at Utd but looking at the bigger picture?? who knows what will happen. Blue Hewson
i read that he could a cut price at 1 mil if we were to offload bent then you never no
L_Blue
Grav did say that thing about only wanting to play for one team in each country however I would be willing to bet that he would say bollox to that if Utd made an offer for him. Zed
i read that he could a cut price at 1 mil if we were to offload bent then you never no <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Oh yes, 1 mil for grav and get 3 mil for bent, well have 2 mil left for nugent the silly season is upon us. Let it go, move on, i'm firmly in the "played well for half a season camp" and think all parties should move on, would you put him in instead of cahill and arteta or even phil neville I wouldn't, just think back before last season
scouse
I would have him in the centre with Cahill with Arteta on the right

FairWooney
for a second there i thought you meant put bent in a trade deal for gravesson! that made me chuckle! Ronaldo and Marcus Bent!
Ian
what a formidable partnership that would be 20 plus a season...with bent contributing

Adam
Grav has said today/yesterday that he wants to leave in the transfer window as not happy with not playing.
Pat
Do we get any sell on?
Adam
Don't think so think the only thing that we had was the buy back clause. According to reports today UTD won't be making anymore signings this window after signing the 2 players they were after Evya and Vidic (or whoever they are)
Guest fozzie22
Do we get any sell on? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Pat..c'mon who would have handled the transfer fee?? BK and Wyness..i'm surprised that we didnt end up oweing real madrid money on the deal
RuffRob
Gravs isn't going to be sold for more than the £2.5M we got for him anyhow. Read today that Newcastle are interested in Gravs oh and Anelka too. What a surprise. But do you think Sheapard would give Souness any more money to waste in this transfer window? Patch Tuesday
We should say we're going to really splash out on a star, and try to get Ali Dia. Let Newcastle nick him off us as well.
