I hope this is true, and I hope he can get a few days of training and at least make the bench for the weekend. Our midfield needs him sooner rather than later.
Alright, man. Well, then call into question his professionalism and temperament and cite the incidents. Using "culture" as an explanatory tool often means lacking nuance. For example, I could come along and say that Brexit happened because of British culture's parochialism and anti-intellectualism. While you may agree with some of the sentiment, you would probably know full well that not everybody voted Brexit for the same exact reasons and that it is more complex than that. You would maybe also take offense to me, an American, calling out British culture for being parochial and anti-intellectual, when it's clear that these are pretty common features throughout the West at this point in time and are by no means the product of "British culture" itself.
Trust me, I'm an anthropologist. Culture is pretty much the only thing I'm qualified to talk about.
What of those things has he done? Maybe I'm just unaware. But, as far as I can tell, you're upset with his style and are using that to draw all of these conclusions about what kind of human being he is. Toxic masculinity (and the accompanying homophobia and misogyny) is a shitty thing, I agree. But, that can hardly be limited to so-called gangsta rap culture, and it certainly doesn't originate there. My question is why single that out? Why single him out? You seem like you really, really don't like this about him. What has he done to cause this? And, what does this have to do with "gangsta rap culture"?
These are honest questions. And, I'm not fishing here.
I'm also not calling you a racist. Nor am I attempting to expose you as one.
I don't know what the aesthetic affectations of black youth culture have to do with the qualities of someone as a footballer, worker, or human being, but okay....
I hear you. Our squad is thin. If we had another viable forward, he likely wouldn't be seeing the action he has seen. If our squad is still this thin (we get Lookman and no other winger), then we will probably see him play. I'm saying that this shouldn't be the case though and that it is unfair to the kid to place that amount of pressure on him.
Hilghly-rated English youngster being talked up by the English media? Never thought I'd see the day!
Honestly, though, it would be best to keep him limited to the U-23s and the occasional sub appearance until he beds in. Putting too much on his shoulders, should he fail to miraculously make an immediate impact, could be devastating (all too often it is). He's done pretty well in League One, but to expect him to be able to produce in the Premier League is too much at the time. We're paying for his potential, in my mind.
Yeah. I had a feeling. Some people are such miserable bastards. It's a split between Ross and Rom for MOTM today, and he's probably been abusing them both.
How did Williams clear that?!?!?
Both teams are relatively disjointed. We've shown better quality, but look equally likely to give away a cheap goal on a defensive mistake or misplaced pass.

On Depay's character, Mourinho says:
"He's a very good professional, is the only thing I can say. I know the public image is always influenced by some details of their private lives but the reality is that he is a very good professional, a very good boy.
He has a high level of education, super polite, super professional, and works really hard."
