  2. Good result for Liverpool...they just need to pick up another six draws now and they'll have the magic forty points. Don't want to put too much pressure on them but I think they may just do it .

  4. I think if we sold him for £25m we'd come to regret it. He's split opinions since he got here but many (including me) have been impressed for a while. Now everyone (even Bill and EW ) is coming round. He's going to get better and better imho. Time will tell...but Davey won't sell .
  5. Big NO to the first part....the league is far and away a bigger priority for them. Second part? Maybe. Hope so .

  7. It's certainly a worry .
  8. Ladbrokes have them at 20-1 to be relegated . http://www.ladbrokes.com/lbr_sports?action=go_sgl_external&popup=1&AFF_ID=839&ev_oc_id=253100478&lp_num=20&lp_den=1 Lawrenson... "If anyone didn't already know, take Gerrard and Torres out of the Liverpool team and it is ordinary in the least. In all honesty, if Liverpool spent the season without Gerrard and Torres, then Liverpool would do well to finish halfway up the table."
  9. For me (as a non-local) it's "depends." Not against in principle but we'd need to be equal partners. Sharing the stadium that they've already got on the drawing board would be unacceptable......it would need to be a new, joint venture from inception.
  10. What has needlework got to do with anything ?
  11. After the game... http://www.evertonfc.com/news/archive/neill-shock-at-switch.html Wonder whether he'll be in the right frame of mind to play though...
  12. Confirmed on the OS that he's going....after the City game . http://www.evertonfc.com/news/archive/neill-shock-at-switch.html
  13. It is. I very nearly stopped laughing....but not quite. Think I may have to reconsider my tip for their game against Stoke .
  14. "Liverpool striker Fernando Torres needs an operation on his right knee and will be out of action for six weeks. Steven Gerrard and Yossi Benayoun have also joined the Reds' injury list. Gerrard will miss two weeks with a hamstring strain, while Benayoun faces three to four weeks on the sidelines because of a fractured rib."
  15. Ronnie Whelan joins in.... "He should have gone a long time ago. They have got to do it now." http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/l/liverpool/8459188.stm

  17. Aldridge saying Rafa should be gone by now, Lawrensen scathing again, the crowd booing....out of all domestic competition with the new year only a fortnight old, forums turning on Gerrard. Incredible. Has to be purely financial that the manager is still there....they can't afford to sack him. Although I hope to god he stays if he was any sort of man he'd resign. Makes your heart bleed doesn't it :lmaosmiley: . "The most glaring aspect of the match was the fact that Reading had absolutely no apprehension. If they noticed the 'This Is Anfield' sign in the tunnel the team would surely have done no more than shrug." Kevin McCarra....The Guardian.
  18. Slightly strange he still carries one round with him but in the circumstances he's probably not giving a lot of thought to fashion decisions .
  19. How very naïve to try to use a clever word with four different spelling options (naïve, naive, naïf & naif) and still not manage to hit on one of them . This.
  20. I watched "The Boat that Rocked" while I was away....was dubious as I treat Richard Curtis films with extreme caution but it made me laugh a lot. Blinding music also...the one thing that annoyed me a tiny bit was that they never once conveyed what it was like to actually listen to the radio (particularly pirates & Luxembourg) back then. Everyone tuned in had digital quality stereo sound when in reality what you heard was a mixture of crackling, white noise and screech with the occasional bit of bass-less mono music barely identifiable through the cacophony of interference . I know they couldn't have had the whole soundtrack like that but a bit for the sake of reality would have been good.
  21. Slowest ever hundred? Four and a half years....pay more attention in the future please .
  22. I think the players know that if we don't quite make Europe this year....if they stick together we will have a real shot at the top four in 10/11. I hope that might be enough to keep most of our key players at the club. Please.
  23. Proof (if it were needed) that the average Evertonian is 426% more intelligent than the average Orstralian . Wouldn't be at all surprised if Oz Toffees didn't take over the running of the country before long....they're plainly the intellectual elite .
  24. Did you make this up yourself Bill?
