  1. ....which would all suggest that he's a dishonorable money grabber who cares nothing about Everton. Completely ridiculous and patently untrue (imo) premise and if you really think that then I believe you're an extremely poor judge of character.
  2. Just had a look at the City site and I think they look alright myself....is it a one-off design or just a variation on the same shirt (like ours <_< )? Also gobsmacked by the fact that (in my size at least) the City shirt is £15 cheaper (£30 against £44.99 for short sleeved) . That's a disgrace.
  3. Generational thing probably but I don't give a flying fuck whose logo is on the shirt as long as it's good quality and it has the Everton badge on .
  4. ....and from memory I think page 81 was a high point .
  5. Quality Jamie ! Choose carefully, your future may depend on it! Funny enough when I was having a clear-out recently I found an application form I filled in for a technical training place at the BBC, I'd filled most of it in but stalled when they wanted a reference from my school, even though I'd been left and working in a recording studio for two years. Was fucked because they wouldn't take the application without it and if I'd got one it would have been totally negative . So I sayed where I was for another fifteen years, what might have been eh? I could be interviewing MOTD applicants by now (presuming it's still made in house) .
  6. Watched the second part of "Sunshine" last night, having missed the first. Enjoyable....and a top cast.

    Short Jokes

Don't be embarrassed dark, Licker's grandson is actually the headmaster and he's forty-six :graduated: . (Sorry if I'm overdoing the "age" jokes today Bill....just seem to be getting so many open goals )
  8. Perhaps the idea was that you got someone else to do it for you ? Be a lot of trust involved :lmaosmiley: .
  9. Vic and JV both playing tonight in quite a strong looking team.... Nash Irving Molyneux Barnett McCarten Gosling Kissock Wallace Vaughan Anichebe Baxter Goal-less at the mo but, "Carlo Nash's first action was to deal with a tricky backpass from Lee Molyneux, all the former Wigan man could do was head the ball out for a corner as it skidded off the slick playing surface." I do like a goalie who can improvise .
  10. That sounds anatomically extremely difficult (and potentially very dangerous ) to me. Better check the facts with Bill....he was around in the days before toilet paper .
  11. http://evertonfc.com/news/archive/moyes-deal-complete.html Confirmed. ....and just so as I can be the first (of many I'm sure) to say it... Moyes Out!!! If he can't get us into Europe/win silverware/win the league/win the Champions League (delete as applicable) with all that money we're paying him he should be sacked !
  12. I'm in agreement Bill....I wasn't suggesting that I hope he gets a game. Capello's obviously aware of his current abilities or he wouldn't have played Upson ahead of him having gone for Joleon when he had the choice between the two against Andorra.

    Arsenal (away)

OK lets check the form guide. Hull City 2 Everton 2 Arsenal 1 Hull City 2 ...foregone conclusion surely? Away win banker . Seriously; Arsenal are vulnerable at times (although rarely against us) but if they play their "A" game and we play to current form it'll be a long 90mins. If they have one of their frustrating days and we suddenly kick into some form we could possibly get a point, but I won't be putting any money on it .
  14. Wonder if Lescott will get a start with Terry and Cole out? Upson was fairly average on Saturday I thought so he may well get a go, either replacing Upson in the middle or even possibly playing at left back, though I'd have thought Bridge is more likely to replace Cole. The other possibility would be dropping Barry back into defence, where he used to play.....although I think Capello will probably keep him in midfield with either Lampard or Gerrard, not both.
  15. Think your theories may owe more to sauce induced fantasy rather than any reliable inside info .
  16. Just watched it....cried a lot also . "I've brought the wrong fucking dog!" killed me....and Macca singing "Blankety-Blank" and the theme from "Home and Away!"
  17. Bill already knew that one....he actually invented it .
  18. ...or it could be a stroke of managerial genius to say things like, "...it made me think how lucky I was to have been at Everton for six-and-a-half years in a period when managers may get one or two years in a job. ....it's not long enough and I still have a job to do. "It's a dream and he inspired with me with his words." Depends which part of the whole you focus on. Read in its entirity I don't see any problem with it.
  19. "Not worth a light" is a good one that got told to me while I was visiting >>HERE<< a few years back. The men had to buy their candles to work by and if, when they got to "quality control" the blocks they'd quarried were imperfect in some way they'd be "not worth the candle." Extra irony added by the fact that their wives were employed (for a pittance) making the candles in the first place. Get hold of a copy of this Bill... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dictionary_of_Phrase_and_Fable ....brilliant book first published in 1870 with all sorts of interesting stuff in it, my copy's battered to shite .
  20. It was bad but I don't think that it would have happened had it been anyone else.....Cole's widely disliked (for many good reasons) so any excuse to have a pop at him is jumped on.
  21. I'm actually with DM on this, my feelings exactly.... ...but I'm quite happy for others to interpret it differently, even if they're wrong .
  22. Good point, you'd think if the lad was going to come on and be a pompous prick he'd be a grammatically correct properly spelt pompous prick. Nothing worse than embarrassing yourself while trying to be smug . (checks spelling very carefully before posting )
  23. Out of interest... Ipswich are interested in signing crocked Portsmouth striker David Nugent, who has just had a second hernia operation. (Sun) ....lucky escape for us. Feel sorry for the lad though .
  24. It'd be fine in the closet (or wardrobe as we say in the old country ), just so long as it stayed there and I didn't have to wear the thing .
