  1. How can you go downhill when you start in the gutter ?
  2. Anyone have turned down two points a game while they were away? Against City, Wigan, Spurs and Blackburn? Three good teams in there, even though we could (should) have beaten Blackburn yesterday I reckon that's a result! With you on that Mark. You don't piss with a defence that has just kept out Berbatov, Keane, Santa Cruz and McCarthy (comfortably).
  3. Here's a bit more... Ghana have just taken the lead....six minutes left. Devastated.
  4. Big favour from Fulham....just beat Villa 2-1 .
  5. Ghana equalised just on half-time...I'm so sad I could cry  :lmaosmiley: :thumbsup_anim: !
  6. Summed up beautifully SRF! Couldn't have put it better myself....come on you...er...Super Eagles....a bit .
  7. Trawling through some archive I found this (lots of people agreed wtih him I have to say, most of us probably). Under the heading.... Collina to ref the Blues on Wednesday See what else I can find where people need to eat their words...eg the Moyes Out threads !
  8. Agreed. We've gone from thirteen points in the first ten league games, mid table and squeeking past Kharkiv by the end of October to nine wins, four draws and two losses in the league (form that stacks us up against the very best), four European wins and a Champions League place. Admittedly we had the Oldham debacle and the Carling semi defeat in there but we were unlucky not to beat Spurs (although we kept a clean sheet after they'd put five past Arsenal and before they very nearly beat ManU). We were robbed fucking blind yesterday...just watched it again and I still can't believe it. If no action is taken against the ref there's something wrong! That's twice we've been cheated, they say it evens up but I can't think of an example where we've been on the receiving end this year. We still have the momentum, hopefully Yak and Joey will be back next week and once we get Pienaar fit again we'll be flying. But we wouldn't be Evertonians if we couldn't find something to moan about would we ?

    Hi

The TC effect no doubt . I'm gonna find out where they all are, pin them on a map of Oz, hire myself a VW camper, work out a route and do a TT Down Under tour . I'm in negotiation with several major multi-nationals over sponsorship....anyone up for it? Welcome Jesse....got any spare floorspace?
  10. I'm speechless after watching that on MOTD . Should have been playing ten men. Definite penalty if I ever saw one. And the disallowed goal defies any comment. The ref (let alone the linesman) needs punishing. ....and as for Hughes saying he's angry that they didn't get the pen . Bollocks, and he should be ashamed of himself for saying it.
  11. Or you could say eight points from a possible twelve in four tricky games while we're without the African lads, only one goal conceded and three clean sheets. Or you could say nine wins, four draws and two losses in the last fifteen league games. Averaging more than two points a game. Definite Champions League form.
  12. We're overdue a late winner....come on lads!!! Shite...was AJ offside? BBC site had it as a goal... 1644: DISALLOWED Blackburn 0-0 Everton Andy Johnson had the ball in the net for Everton but the goal was ruled out for offside. A very, very late and somewhat dubious decision. 1644: GOAL Blackburn 0-1 Everton
  13. Good point...273 mins since we last scored . Taking control though according to the Beeb, one goal likely to settle it though....let's hope we score it.
  14. Tim Howard 24 Leighton Baines 3 Joleon Lescott 5 Philip Neville 18 Tim Cahill 17 Leon Osman 21 Manuel Fernandes 23 Phil Jagielka 16 Lee Carsley 26 Mikel Arteta 6 Andrew Johnson 8 James Vaughan 14 Tony Hibbert 2 Stefan Wessels 33 Victor Anichebe 28 Nuno Valente
  15. Nigeria pretty big underdogs for their quarter final against Ghana tomorrow. Good luck lads...kind of .
  16. Gardner is backup only. No chance of it becoming permanent (unless he comes in as emergency and plays to Lescott levels...not likely) and Grav can be as unhappy as he likes...he's gone!
  17. In the Daily Post longer version of the same interview he again mentions the possibility of redeveloping Goodison.. “Whether it is a new stadium or the redevelopment of Goodison, when that arrives the one thing Everton needs to fill it will be a team and hopefully a team in the Champions League.” ...it's off message with the board isn't it? Don't know whether he's leaving a little hope there to keep the fans sweet or whether he thinks (or knows) that it's a genuine option?
  18. Our cricket is in such a trough of mediocrity at the mo that I had no idea or interest that they were in NZ 'til I read this. Now I know they're there but still have no interest . Sorry.
  19. Great article, love this... "When I came here I had a five-year plan for us to be better at Everton. I have now got a plan for the next five years that would see us become a regular Champions League club."
  20. Unheard of . There's obviously something there that they don't want to come out! Incredible, makes you wish it had gone ahead.
  21. Was wondering today about forums. Apart from here I go (occasionally) onto a Fantasy Footie one, one travel related and have used a couple of others in the past (vintage electronics/another travel). I know Bill has his hiking/climbing thing (and Mac has the Donkey Porn) but what, if any, do other people use? Also, what is the strangest one you can find? Try THIS for starters . Fascinating thread I'm sure you'll agree, something I'd always wondered about .
  22. Bloody Hell! On a similar note a few days ago (meant to post earlier but forgot) I was listening to 5Live in the car and they were talking about wheelchair access at stadiums. Everton were continually used as an example of how to get it right....particularly the fact that they're still actively upgrading the facilities even though planning to leave Goodison in the near future. Liverpool season ticket holder (of thirty-five years, last two or three in a chair) phoned in and slagged off Anfield something rotten. Always nice to hear positive stuff about the club!
  23. Trom ToffeeWeb... Just four sub appearances before he damaged knee ligaments at Southampton and that was it. So much for a one-year loan to assess his dazzling Brazilian skills... Despite his recovery by the end of the season, David Moyes had seen enough and decided to release him. Tellingly, no-one has picked him up yet...
  24. Who made you the geography police ya fascist!!
