  1. Powell joined United from Crewe for a reported 6 million. He looks to be a decent player when he was on loan at Wigan. Hopefully Galloway will be another little gem!
  2. I like Ba. I think he is a decent player. When he went to West Ham I was gutted. He did really well there and then went to Newcastle and did well there too, hugely why they got 5th place that year. Him and Cisse were on form. Hasn't really had the chance at Chelsea but if he came to Everton I think he would be a good player. A player like Ba would fill Lukakus' shoes. A player like Samaras.......Definitely not.
  3. Only problem with Rodwell is his injuries. Could be a great player but injuries has hampered his progress. I believe if he stayed fit he would have got into City first team. It is a risk if we bought him back anyway. Jack Rodwell or Tom Cleverley?
  4. The problem with Ince is because his Dad was a good player he thinks he is the bees knees. He is one of those players who think they are a lot better than they actually are! I don't want him at Everton. Don't think he would do any good for team spirit.
  5. All depends who we sign in the transfer market but as it goes at the moment.... ----Howard---- Coleman----Jags---Distin---Baines McCarthy---Gibson Naismith Barkley Mirallas Kone
  6. Samaras struggled in the premier league at Man City. He is now a free agent as Celtic wouldn't offer him a new contract. This is Celtic where they have no competition! Even they thought he wasn't good enough! Please NO!!!!
  7. That just made me lol, rofl, lmao ;-). In all seriousness though I do agree players who have the ability shouldn't have the need to "cheat". Unfortunately though it has become part of the game, every player does it. When England were playing their friendlies in Miami the US TV pundits couldn't believe how much players fell on the floor etc
  8. I think what Sepp Platter said about injuries/diving is true. If a player dives or is on the ground faking an injury then they should get a time penalty of when they are allowed back on the pitch. It would be a bit like ice hockey but it would soon stop the players cheating. Something needs to be done as nowadays it seems to be acceptable for players to be rolling around on the floor. Kids who watch football on tele will see this and when they play think it is also OK to roll around/diving for penalties.
  9. Henderson is a work horse and runs around the pitch more than anybody else. Jones is a good defender and would be my player to stick back in case of an attack. Rooney has never played well for England. He had chances in the Italy and Uruguay game but fluffed them all.
  10. Hart Chambers---Stones--Cahill---Shaw Henderson---Jones Sterling Barkley Chamberlain Sturridge Drop Rooney, I think he is to over rated to be honest. Although I say this yet he will be future England captain.
  11. Supposedly Everton have got Chelsea away from home. Premier league posted them by accident yesterday and quickly took it down. Probably photo shopped to be honest with you.
  12. Yes please, it would be great backup for Howard. Joel looks shaky in nets at the moment and needs to play regularly to get his confidence up. Send him to the championship or something gain first team experience.
  13. I liked Gueye, he had a couple of good games but I don't think he was Everton's standard unfortunately. Good luck to him in the future wherever he ends up!
  14. Haven't really seen Tello play a lot only a couple of times but when I have seen him he doesn't look that good. I am comparing him to Gerry and the way he played for Barca B and Everton, Gerard looked good, took on players and was quick on his feet. Tello hasn't really shown any signs of this, I could be wrong maybe he hasn't been given a chance at Barca and might be a shining light for Everton.
  15. http://www.insidefutbol.com/2014/06/09/everton-nudge-ahead-as-clubs-battle-for-samuel-etoo-signature/144509/? http://talksport.com/football/everton-launch-shock-move-former-chelsea-forward-14060995195? http://www.theevertonforum.co.uk/everton-chasing-shock-samuel-etoo-transfer/? Would you take him? At 33 years old I still think he is a decent player but his wages would be a BIG stumbling block.
  16. I would love to get Bruma on loan with an option of 12 million to buy him permanently. He got injured last season and has been but this player is quick, has plenty of skill and takes players on for fun! Season long loan and option to buy 12 million!!!! YES PLEASE!
  17. I've had the pleasure of meeting Joe Royle and he is such a nice person. Speaks so highly of Everton also, you can tell he loves the club. Good luck to him in his new role at Norwich. Gutted he didn't come to Everton though.
  18. Haha that made me laugh. I know what you mean though, Martinez has been careful all season about what he says as he wants to keep him grounded but at the same time give him praise etc. I think Roy might be doing the same but in a different way. He knows everyone will be watching Barkley in the world cup so he wants to put the pressure of him a bit. Do you remember the hype for Beckham, Owen, Rooney?
  19. You're right Chile have the home advantage, used to the climate more than Belgium and they do have some quality players but I still think that Belgium will prove people wrong. Hazard was Chelsea's player of the season, he played REALLY well. If he brings that form into the WC then who knows. It will go two ways for Belgium - crash & burn like people say or do really well and manage to get to the QF - SF.
  20. They have a very good squad and to be honest they probably are the 5-10th best team in the world. I really do rate Belgium as a team and think they are the dark horses of the tournament. They have an easy-ish group and I think they will top it quite comfortably. Plus do you not remember when England were the 5th best team in the world and "one of the favorites" to win a tournament. The amount the media bigged England up to be a quality team was absolute ridiculous.
  21. I wouldn't want to see Lescott back at Everton to be honest, I think it could scupper Stones potential also. I think we do need another CB but not Lescott. What we really need is a striker and maybe a winger....
  22. Does anybody think we can keep hold of Ross after the WC?
  23. Barkley ;-). Baines most assists! No seriously though I think Neymar, the cup is held in Brazil and the home nation normally do the best...........Normally.....
  24. Brazil 4 (3) Croatia 1 (0) Mexico 2 (1) Cameroon 1 (0) Spain 2 (1) Netherlands 1 (1) Chile 3 (2) Australia 0 (0) Colombia 2 (0) Greece 1 (0) Uruguay 4 (1) Costa Rica 1 (1) England 2 (1) Italy 1 (1) Cote d'Ivoire 2 (2) Japan 1 (1) Switzerland 0 (0) Ecuador 1 (0) France 2 (0) Honduras 0 (0) Argentina 5 (3) Bosnia Herzegovina 0 (0) Germany 2 (1) Portugal 2 (2) Iran 1 (1) Nigeria 2 (0) Ghana 1(1) USA 1 (1) Belgium 3 (2) Algeria 1 (1) Russia 0 (0) Korea Republic 1 (1)
  25. I would take Welbeck in a heart beat. I think he is a good player and is such a work horse. If we got him and a player like Bony, Lukaku we would be doing VERY well. Welbeck is a good player and under the right manager could become an even better player.
