  1. Good play so far...then usual 2-3 brain farts...young, garner and Gana all guilty so far.
  2. Well knock me down with a feather. Dyche has either listened to us or he's seen what we've been seeing. the quality might not be there but we've got what we wanted: 1 no keane 2. no maupay 3 chermiti on the bench
  3. I think we need to conclude the gray deal in order to get Beto and we needed to do the holgate deal to get che Adams (both to get the terms of payment we wanted and for us to lose some wages). I agree with Simon Jordan whereby we are still having to run all our deals by through the prem first that's why they are taking so long.
  4. Dyche Fit - all joking aside I think he takes that too far and sometimes uses it as crutch. With the Chermiti kid...did he not say this week that he was getting mentally fit. Ffs
  5. Def a bit of quid pro quo here. You give us some decent terms (little upfront) on Che and we will do the same on holgate.
  6. I actually thought he was better than some of last season's interviews, where he was more like a politician with his inability to give a straight answer. Yes the journos are asking stupid questions, but they are the questions most fans want answers to so you have to be seen to ask them (When is DCL back etc) A little more empathy towards the fans wouldn't go amiss. We know you can't throw the board under the bus but you can say that you do appreciate the fans perspectives that the board room, investments, and transfer dealings are taking a long time....I've heard him comment on these things but I don't think I've heard him empathize with us.
  7. Here is an overview of our debt on the balance sheet as per last year accounts ---------- "Aside from shareholder loans, Everton have a £150 million 5 year facility with Rights and Media Funding which appears fully utilised. In addition a £30 million CLBILS facility with the club’s bankers Metro Bank which stood at £26.25 million on June 30 2022. In total, external debt stood at £174.1 million (2020/21 £128.3 million) an increase in borrowings of £45.8 million Interest costs rose in 2021/22 reflecting the increase in external debt and rising interest rates. Interest costs on external debt rose to £10.4 million in 2021/22 (2020/21 – £9 million). Financing contributed a net £268 million (2020/21 -£166.2 million) arising from an additional loan from Rights and Media funding of £50 million, £229.3 million in shareholder loans from Bluesky Capital (Moshri's company) and the repayment of the repayment in part of the Metro Bank loan £3.75 million and interest payments of £7.5 million (2020/21 – £4.8 million). --------- So net-net, we are taking on additional non shareholder debt to finance not only the stadium but ongoing operations and our interest payments are going up due to more debt but also rising interest rates. I mentioned a while ago that Gordon was sold because of cash flow issues not just FFP....we needed money to pay for the stadium.
  8. Hopefully Nunes won't be available for selection. we need several changes to our starting line up. Hope Dyche isn't thinking of giving them a chance at redemption!
  9. The previous article seems pretty self explanatory to me - our current largest creditor threatened to call in their 200M of outstanding debt as they didn't feel MSP were offering enough for the proposed equity they'd receive in return...I guess the thought of having to pump in another 200M made the deal unworkable for MSP
  10. Good shout... let's have them put their collective voice behind something overwhelmingly positive.
  11. Has he been injured and working his way back or is it just felt (by Dyche) that he is not up to the task.
  12. Okay, let's move on. I'd have loved to have had an exciting young talent primed to burst into the Italy National Team (deja vu) but lets shore up other areas and hope Danjuma/Harrison/McNeil can provide the creativity we need
  13. Yes I watched the game...no I didn't see what you are referring to. My issue is with him going the other way. I'll take your word for it that he is a winger who skins people
  14. By this rationale, you are saying clubs have no right in trying to sell players during their contract term either. The reality is, it has to be a mutual agreement in both cases. And in both scenarios the other party will do what they can to force the move. Player - he refuses to play, hands in transfer request etc Club - If they want to sell someone and that person doesn't want to go - they probably don't pick them or perhaps make them train with reserves. Both sides of these situations (not just the Gnonto one) are trying to manipulate the situation to get the outcome they want.
  15. Correct. They spent next to nothing (net spend) when in Championship then had a net spend of 195M last year...LOL. So they need to reign it in or technically they should be fucked with FFP next year. That said, it's about losses not spend, so perhaps the promotion to the prem and possible hike in season ticket sales/volume plus TV money has helped offset.
  16. The reports I read were (approx) 45M Loss 21-22 (fact), with an estimated break-even for 22-23 (won't be reported for a while yet. So if we have a decent/frugal year this year we could be looking very healthy next year (from an FFP standpoint). Although we lost 45M that was better than the 120M the year prior. So currently it is (120M) + (45M) +projected (0M)....so still in the shit. But next year it should be way better (high earners ditched, some income from Gordon/Moise etc)
  17. I don't find iwobi particularly fast and he doesn't run like he is giving his all. That could just be his running style but he looks like he jogs back not sprints....doucs I agree with (stamina and a good engine)
  18. And then to be gone right after the window....fat chance.
  19. At least in his post match interview he didn't try and gloss over it. Basically said we were shite.
  20. I thought Danjuma was the positive but once he went on the left it felt like he didn't pass at all...lots of direct running...but into dead ends. Dobbin was lively just a little too excited at times and let the ball get away from him. Villa played it so easily between our lines our whole midfield want to be embarrassed.....they didn't have to move it quickly...just direct forward passing cutting through our midfield like butter in one pass and the defence just stood back for at least 2 of the goals... I'm gonna give Ashley Young a pass for his total brain fart...he was decent the rest of the game - not a high bar though. Depressing!
  21. The rose tinted glasses are telling me things will be better when McNeil and Harrison back. stick Danjuma in the #10 / Doucoure role and then pray we have the ever elusive striker.
  22. That's not the point though...it's the fact that we are useless at identifying strikers.
