1. Barry looks composed, aware and classy. great early tackle. Ossie and Mirallas need to get involved. Ross again the most likely. Concern with the standing off at the edge of our box.
2. MIKE O< Funny you should put a pic of The Jam,s Sound Affects, I met the band at Bristol Locarno on a warm up gig for the Sound Affects tour still got the autographed ticket kept in the sleeve. Foxton and Buckler were great with the fans Weller was aloof did,nt want to bother with anyone..Great night though.
3. Kevin Spacey in the masterpiece ' Swimming with Sharks' . Brilliant performance.
4. Ive been debating this in my head all day, and I have a gut feeling he wont start both McCarthy and Barry together one of them will be on the bench. Hasten to add just a feeling ive got and I hope im wrong. With the standard of opposition will RM go with a whole new centre midfield from the off. The Question for me is whether he has lost faith in Ossie like the fans or will he bear with him looking for the response new competition brings. Just don't think its as cut and dried as many seem to think. More than anything if we lose this fixture I hope the doom and gloom brigade are,nt out with sharpened knives. Even at our best we have a hard time versus Chelsea and even another draw would not be a bad result and I hope Mourinho is still daft enough to leave class like Juan Mata on the bench. A win would be awesome and a fantastic boost but a defeat here would not send me into panic. The oldest of clichés but I believe one slice of luck or skill and off we go.
5. Hello Gilles, You will absolutely love Goodison Park, I guarantee it. enjoy your whole experience.
6. Tonka beat me to it but THE DUDE ABIDES . Walter and Donny ace also. Plus Christopher Lee as Dracula, the nervous barber in HIGH PLAINS DRIFTER. Woody Harrelson in KINGPIN.
7. Has to be the Hafnia 84 kit, if just for the memories of the finest football team ive ever seen. On recent kits agree with Unique Reaper the White top was a Beauty. And hands up I actually bought the infamous salmon pink shirt. Looks even more horrible now.
8. MIKE O. Come up the welsh valleys where we,ve got fuck all mate, and I swear you will suddenly really love Chorley.
9. This new show Peaky Blinders looks promising, also watching old Father Ted ( Feck, arse ,Drink, Girls) great stuff. Best film seen lately The Wolverine.
10. First ive heard of this but anything that gives our youngsters more games is a good thing.
11. I don't think Everton have gone stale in any way shape or form. 1. Goodison is like any other ground in that the fans respond to how the blues are playing, Many times the Atmosphere when the ground is rocking is absolutely incredible a shiver up the spine feeling. But ditto most grounds, it depends on the team. The only 2 grounds I can think of where they sing constantly are Cardiff and Stoke (as a rule, they also have quiet spells) Also I,d like to point out what Jose Mourinho said. In his opinion the most intimidating stadium in England..GOODISON PARK. 2. The Crest, totally agree, an ill thought abomination, I did not buy any tops this season because of it. Truly shocking. 3.The away fans. There is simply no where else to put them, unless we ever get a new ground then thats where they,ll stay. I love the fact that there are Everton fans behind both goals, better for our team and their morale. And if you want to see away fans treated really badly try paying £69 at the Emirates. 4.The phone call. The club received a quick sharp nasty shock with the crest debacle, I believe a lesson was learned so anything that improves the communication is fine by me. 5. In conclusion Everton do the best with what they,ve got, and other than some multi million investment coming in we just have to get on with it. This club has soul, spirit and a feeling that is lost at your Chelsea,s and Man City,s. All in all im content and very proud of Everton Football Club.
12. Feeder are massively under rated much better band than Stereophonics.
13. Most over rated Everton player. John Collins, came with a big reputation talked a good game, played a crap one.
14. I have absolutely no idea how that last post came out like that all in one block and those symbols. Baffled to be honest, but the point was made.
15. A reply to The Regulator.

The person who told me about the incident is my oldest lifelong friend, a person I trust with my life, who is respected by all who
know him. If he says he saw it on a local news item then I totally believe him. I would also add he is a Rugby mad bloke
and he told me because I was at the game and wondered if I saw or heard anything.

As for Facebook, im not on it think its crap, and it nearly split another friend,s marriage up with a false and malicious rumour.
From what I know about Facebook, a person may say they have around 600 friends on there, but only see or really bother with
about 10 out of the 600.

I know many Cardiff fans who go to the matches, all tidy lads who love their club like I love Everton, and have great pub banter
and football debates. And being welsh myself would be the last to cast aspersions against other welsh people.

So on what ive heard made me ask about an incident that believe me I hope didn't happen, but with more than a pinch of salt
I think something happened because of who told me.

Other than Everton not winning I had a great day out in Cardiff and the atmosphere was not one of intimidation

I am only interested in getting to the facts of what sounded an awful incident. If I thought it was just a nasty rumour
or made up gossip I would not have bothered posting in the first place.
16. MIKE O, If the book you are talking about is BURY MY HEART AT WOUNDED KNEE its brilliant. Also a fantastic book called INTO THE HEART OF THE SEA BY NATHANIEL PHILBRICK A true story about and old whaling ship sank by an angry bull sperm whale, the survivors taking to the small boats their battle to survive and even having to draw lots to see who would be killed to feed the other men, all the men who died of starvation had already been eaten.. An amazing true survival story.
17. Larry is god to me, every situation he gets in, could happen to anyone its just incredible, and I love Seinfeld also.
18. Clint Eastward in High Plains Drifter. PREACHER, You cannot throw these good people into the street, it is inhuman brother inhuman. CLINT< I aint your Brother. PREACHER, We are all brothers and sisters in the eyes of god. CLINT, All these people here, are they your brothers and sisters ? PREACHER, They most certainly are. CLINT, In that case you wont mind if they come and stay at your place.
19. Curb your Enthusiasm in my opinion is the ultimate in comedy. Love and collect the old Hammer horror films. Could give a list of film and tv but I,d be here for simply too long.
20. Im into Incubus got all their albums (Morning view Their Classic) Stone Temple PIlots, Deftones, The Bravery, Pearl Jam, Pixies Smashing Pumpkins, Feeder, Gary Numan, Depeche Mode, Duran Duran, The Exploited, Buzzcocks, The Jam, Stranglers,Undertones Stiff Little Fingers, early Manics (when they rocked) Garbage, Chic, kool and The Gang, Queens of the stone age, The Wildhearts and tons more. My home full of Vinyl, cassettes, c,d,s, guitars Electric, bass, and acoustic.. Love my music that's for sure. Forget to mention Thin Lizzy (criminal to forget them).
21. Happy to go with Jags at the moment, Leighton seems a quiet type of man. Distin a good vice captain. See that Barry has been suggested, cant judge on him until we see how vocal he his during games but he certainly has the experience.
22. Would be very happy to see a new combination of Velios and Lukaku tried or any combination between our 4 main strikers to see who gels the best. Velios is definitely another lad who needs more first team action. Like to see him start against Fulham in the capital one cup for sure.
23. Rate Oviedo highly, but im worried his lack of first team action at Everton will see him moving on. Never fails to amaze me that Naismith is usually the first sub used, want to see a lot more of Oviedo the lad looked really good pre-season and want to see him progress as an Everton player.
24. Welcome to the site Jan, nice to see so many people abroad have an interest in our grand old club. Good to have you with us.
