  1. yes mc. if barry had more pace he could travel up the pitch and send passes like he did when he was on loan here. now he sits, mccarthy occaisionally goes forward but he doesn't pass that well. the only thing i can think of is that RM himself was a DCM so maybe he just gets overly excited about that position. no idea. as far as central players playing out wide, either we are too skint to get wingers or he's just mad and plays central players out wide. moyes used to do it as well, so square peg round hole and all that.
  2. I think Moyes would have a chance to re-take the reigns to be honest. I think BK would rather him than Dunc, Dunc is unproven.
  3. exactly and more to your point mike, a shot 40 feet over the crossbar is considered a shot, i'm sorry but that is laughable.
  4. It isn't for me either. What you described is what I view as direct. Moving the ball quickly from back to front and making an attempt on goal. Similar to moyes style with us. Distin to baines, baines drives up and passed to pienaar, back to baines, passes to a cutting in pienaar to jela/Vic and a shot or pass and a shot. Stroking it about doesn't do anything for me.
  5. yes agreed. even arsenal have gone more direct recently. it reminds me of the bundesliga more and more in terms of style, which i love.
  6. spot on pad, patto thanks for sharing, gives me a bit of hope things could change for the better. the massive money in the premier league now must surely be attracting investors who see a gold mine in terms of business investments. let's hope we are able to benefit from it.
  7. Stop by Terry's place and see if he's putting a bid in for the team.
  8. Yes, but that's with a salary cap. And his willingness to build that new arena, harbor centre or whatever it's called for them shows he's willing to spend his money. His decision once he bought the bills to hire Rex Ryan as coach was a master stroke I thought. They were made immediate contenders that day. I think they could make the playoffs this year. He definately opened the checkbook to get him.
  9. http://www.toffeetalk.com/index.php?/topic/25433-the-all-kenwrightthe-board-related-stuff-thread/page-14&do=findComment&comment=474340 General Everton / kenwright board related thread
  10. Just read up on them. He's willing to spend and had done so with a very small market team (buffalo is tiny and dwarfed in the same state as nyc). The thing with American sports is the salary cap, without that in the premier league I think he could make a good owner. Also his American connections alone would next some better sponsorship. Made his money in oil business. the stadium would be a profit machine for the new owner since there are a ton more games than American football (38 league to 16, plus cup matches) if he decided to fund and own it himself. Very interesting prospect. And makis he does own the bills, he owns both the Sabres and bills.
  11. Yeah someone heard a rumor at the match it's mentioned in another thread somewhere but it is recent.
  12. They'll pay off a little debt, blame the new deals to kev and McCarthy and the rising costs of the premier league. No one will give a shit and we'll continue to move down the table. That buffalo Sabres owner better step up, even an absent American would be better than these lot.
  13. Honestly if we are this skint I need the 10 and will live with Kone and Naismith and lukaku.
  14. Lol not far from the truth. "Everloan sorry Everton tried to loan him only to be laughed off and beaten to him by the west ham porn stars"
  15. Yeah. We are skint as fuck, I've been saying it all along. We'll be lucky to stay up this year with 2 signings, a truck load of injuries and no budget. Don't worry thought we'll beat them with possession. This stones thing has me worried still too.
  16. I'm happy for him and back him and hope he scores more. Would love him to be a solid backup striker. One has to wonder if we will sell Naismith, he's not a winger or striker really, and could get us 5m or so to the right teAm.
  17. I want both lukaku and Kone. I thought they worked well together and helped cover each other's weaknesses. A draw would be a positive result for me. I hope we get Some guys back from injury as well. I have Galloway or Oviedo because I don't know if that knock ole gall got was bad or not. COYB Howard Coleman Stones Jags Galloway/Oviedo Gerry McCarthy Barkley Mirallas Kone Lukaku
  18. Lol you writin my biography mike? I most certainly was a fan during moyes reign, hence why I said earlier I found myself wanting him back during the match but then caught myself. We would have been up 2-1 or 2-0 but then sat back and defended for the last 20 minutes with strikers and midfielders being taken off for defensive players. Ross Barkley can't get a match but hitzlsperber and Phil Neville get sent on and we just pray nothing goes in as we are attacked non stop. My point was fairness in assessing the 2 managers. Moyes didn't have 30 mil to drop on a striker, so I'm not buying the RM doesn't get money line, moyes never did and he did fine. Blame injuries, rm himself, players, but rm doesn't get to blame the board.
  19. The shit board didn't phase moyes, he was still able to get the team to perform (without half of them injured).
  20. Agreed. If we played direct we would have had that match. They parked the bus and countered. If we had attacked and didn't have the high line it would have opened the game up more and they would have had to attack and we'd have had more space. With our schedule Roberto Needs to change it up or he will be gone. I caught myself wishing for moyes today.
  21. Chelsea are thugs. Ivanovic and matic just throwing players to ground, pushing tugging shirts. Classless, I hate that club
