  2. You use players who aren't English and were sold before TV revenue. Time are changing bro get wit em Sterling was 49m, stones is as good and isn't a whiny bitch, that's worth 1m extra. 50m. Delph and Roberts aren't world beaters, they're solid but that's why they weren't valued so high. Other than that there's no other English players post FA ruling and TV deal to speak about in regards to transfers. Small sample size
  3. No thanks, we already have 6 that play central midfield. Barry McCarthy Gibson Besic Barkley cleverley. Sign a striker
  4. One other thing you're all forgetting in the fee is he's homegrown English. With the new FA rules that adds a premium to the price.
  5. Let's hope! 5.5m for an unproven in Europe player is a lot for us to blow on a whim. Honestly I'd prefer Evans for that much over him.
  6. I've just seen that. I can't stand the man; I hope they keep losing and he goes back to la liga or something.
  7. anyone seen him play? Argentina is a lot different than EPL.
  8. I would love nothing more then to say fuck you and hold onto stones. They buy some foreigner who pulls a man gala and next summer offer the moon, and we still sell to United or city.
  9. They're on a roll 2 wins in a row and a romp against Chelsea. I'm hoping we go at them and it will be wide open, pelligrini doesn't strike me as a park the bus kind guy. Here's what I'd like to see 442 again diamond midfield Howard Coleman stones jags Galloway McCarthy Mirallas Cleverley Barkley Kone Lukaku Would love to see Gerry and Besic get some playing time as subs.
  10. Fucking shame mate. Many players would give their left nut to be able to play. I guess we would have to wait till his contract expired and then could offer him a deal with our wages, he would only be able to do it for love of the game and club. So this is highly doubtful.
  11. United looking for another striker after Rooney had 2 bad games to start the season. Maybe after this season LVG will torch that relationship and he will want to come back here. Long shot but he's ruined the de gea thing, Januzai he's being an ass about and he seems an arrogant prick to be honest
  12. Great call Keith. They drew with stoke so I'm not sure how he's not getting a a chance but I think they view him as right back and not a winger. He should do a championship side for sure.
  13. Yeah I forgot about him. I'm happy he's starting regularly now instead of sub appearances or just being on the bench. I think this season will help him grow a lot as a player.
  14. AJ was subbed in for Werder Bremen today in their loss, no goals or assists. Brooks was on the bench and didn't play for Hertha in their win. Alfredo Morales played the whole match in Ingolstadt's win. and lastly Tim Ream is joining either QPR or Fulham after Bolton agreed to sell him for 1.5m pounds.
  15. spot on, glad you picked up on the fact i've switched from beer to bourbon
  16. We have browning at rb cover. Stones as well in an emergency. But you're right, January or next summer this is a must.
  17. Yeah I'm made up for Kone. Would love him to bag 10+ goals and get that swagger back. The thing he does really well in my opinion is stop and start with the ball. He will be dribbling and driving and just stop on a dime turn and cut and either pass or drive another direction. This is opposite lukaku who is very much full speed ahead massive freight train move or be moved. I think it's one of the many complementary things they do to offset one another and confuse the centre backs.
  18. Agreed it was a beautiful game to watch. Direct attacks, good defending, good keeper saves, and some ball movement that was quick. Rom Kone Barkley and jags looked like world beaters. Barkley and lukaku were like beasts that no matter how many soton men were on them, they shed them off and drove forward with the ball. Men against boys.
  19. Completely agree. I think my priority of it being a marquee signing has lowered though, a solid striker to rotate in would be preferred. A 10 is needed but a loan or something would be fine by me. I want Ross to have competition but prefer he play.
  20. Tbh I didn't notice him much, but I'm hoping it's like McCarthy working behind the scenes type of thing. He does pass very well though, not a lot of turnovers which is key.
