  1. Just woke up and what a surprise. I really hope this comes off, could make my week!
  2. John please win Motm this weekend and in your interview say you're saying and Jose can fuck himself. Thank you.
  3. http://www.espnfc.us/blog/tactics-and-analysis/67/post/2572349/everton-counterattack-could-hurt-man-city-writes-michael-cox
  4. great post newty. currently we are a mid table club finanical/business/sponsorship wise, a mid table club results wise, and a big club history wise. i say mid table results wise because i'm saying top 4 is big clubs consistently (not us).
  5. southampton end with a draw. how fitting though the guy who scored against them is a saints academy grad came back to haunt them at home :red hair DM:
  6. wonder if he'll bring his 3 headed dog along?
  7. mike you could always try the new site twatter, supposed to be better for all that.
  8. yeah agreed mike, i'm surprised they're down, and dortmund as well were down 3-2 to grenlend? EDIT tied 3-3 now.
  9. 14.25m is a pretty hefty fee for us even in current day. if he does sign i really hope he pans out, mirallas was gonna go for what 8-10m? twice the player super kev is? let's hope
  10. regardless of man city result i think we can give spurs a real match this year. they don't look special and haven't started great.
  11. yes because all the other accounting figures i found from other squads were the same massive vague terms (which lead me to my point below) (made up numbers but trying to show how vague it all is) operating costs - 4m other operating costs - 5m debts - vibrac loan 10m finch farm payment - 5m (or whatever it is) liabilities - debt - 15m assets - goodison park - 20m everton office building - 5m trade debts owed - total debt - 10m outstanding debt - 5m i realized the accounting practices and laws here in the US are massively different from England. You'll get a 30 page document from a small company over here, Everton football club has 13 actual pages (out of the 80 page annual report) for a football club and the terms are vague like above. so there's not much diving into the financials i can do, wish there was as i would love to just see the cash to dispel or prove the myth. that's why i was silent. i did see spurs and newcastle and southampton and the like (like you did) but theirs were EVEN MORE VAGUE (can you believe that?) than ours!! Soton and Newcastle i couldn't find an actual document, it was just super vague figures put out in a press release on their sites. So bravo to the board for actually making a document, and I guess the real culprit here is me being an American! damnit, if only i was british i wouldn't desire these things :shaking fist:
  12. in america the accounting sheets that companies have to produce publicly are a lot more detailed. i'm guessing since Everton isn't publicly traded they don't have to show as much hence not showing as much (no judgement there). I'm just asking for more details mike. Paper clips and pencils are easy, under "office supplies", and then grass maintenance fees under "goodison maintenence", and so forth etc. it's probably just i've come accustomed to more transparency, i'm not familiar with the UK system.
  13. Southampton is playing in Europa today. I'll be interested to see how they do in that tournament and how their league form is as well. Will love to compare/contrast with our situation last year. I'm guessing they'll have a similar run as we did but will finish higher than 11th as we did.
  14. in fairness to haf you never proved anything. you showed that other clubs have high "other" costs as well. doesn't mean they can't be bilking their club of money either (not saying they are just stating for arguments sake). the argument can only be solved with an actual itemization of those costs, but i doubt we'll ever see that.
  15. World Cup amigo. Haven't hit the Water Closet yet today, i'll give you a play by play once i'm done
  16. these same fans loved him before the WC. it's all malarkey. had a bad WC (so did the whole brasil team) and now he's been slated. i'd love him here, was a solid defender for them and think he could rotate in well for us.
  17. Spot on. Quinn I've never seen a pass from the physio table make it to the pitch, have you?
  18. Bill must have called his theatre critic pal at the mail and asked him to have his Mate in sports do him a favor. Absolute garbage.
  19. you bring up a good point haf. if he was willing to do so on "unpaid leave" or something i could understand it, but collecting 50k a week to be in rehab? we just don't have the finance for that. and from reading the article, HE DOES!! 125k car, 2m house, on 50k a week, he can afford his own rehab and get his life back on track. i'm with mike, he's an adult, if it was drinking and was caught drunk (not driving or hit and run), reprimand and work it out. But Drunk, and Driving, and Hit and Run? Nope.
  20. http://espn.go.com/espn/feature/story/_/id/13455547/european-football-most-valuable-kits-2015-16 i posted this for the premier league now this is top euro clubs.
  21. yeah i'm sure the lawyers are scouring the contract trying to find a way out, i don't blame them TBH, 50k a week is a lot of money to us for a injured party boy.
  22. that's a good angle to look at, being on a team fighting to promote, didn't think of that. he's very thin as well, the physicality up there might help him to buff up and get stronger on the ball.
