Very true. The commercializations and bastardization of the game because of it is why I watch less and less each year. I love the soccer is uninterrupted for 2 45 min halves. Love that so much. I hate the commercials. I also love the time, I can watch a match in 2 hours. A football game or baseball game is usually 3-4 hours. I can't stand baseball and my uncle was a pro for 10 years and cousin is in the minor leagues currently (his son). Still can't watch it: so slow too many stops and with 162 games in a year literally the games don't mean anything. Way way too many. Half that and it's still too many. He may not get David silva and fabregas feeding him balls every 5 seconds but he usually has 1 clear cut chance a game(most games many more). I've been one of the patient ones waiting and waiting and waiting. He says "I like the ball at my feet and 1 v 1s", you sure? he needs to put in a goal a match (almost) from here out to match last season or hit what most here would expect (15 goals). Matt - if we don't get service then why do we play this way? We could have easily got a benzema type striker that holds up and links up play but isn't required to score all the goals relying more on mirallas, Barkley, and other winger.

I don't think so now. He is a rah rah kinda guy and I can see him lighting a fire in that dressing room. There are some players there, benteke, vlaar, Delph, agbonlahor, guzan. If he can get them scoring goals they will stay up.

I get that, but I don't think that's him either. That's the lack of pienaar and our only gameplan with moyes of move it on the left. I used to remember the heat maps after the match and we were so one sided. Now the ball is spread a little more evenly, and if he had a better partner on the wing I think we'd see the same thing. My point is that in spite of a good partner and not seeing the ball as much he's still defending well and making tons of assists. If he was so dependent on pienaar and service he would have dried up but he hasn't because he is class.

Barry can play this match but not the next premier match which means he will start this game. I'd expect besic to play agaisnt Leicester.

Yes. Best player was Mohammed salah for fx Basel, bought by Chelsea warmed the bench and sent to Roma on loan. He is fantastic, but he was best of the best. Young boys isn't basel so not too too worried.
