He was the marquee signing for RB Leipzig the Bundesliga 2 side this year and first game back from injury scored. I bang on about him a lot but I really like his play and would've loved him at the WC instead of Johannsson.

maybe so. his slow play and constant foul drawing really break down the attack and momentum though. if he was central and more pirlo-esque, sure go ahead and walk/jog the match and just pass it around and draw fouls to stop them, but when he's on the wing i think it just gives the defense more time to mobilize and get into the proper spots to snuff us out. i'd rather have full speed wingers, holdup striker and then ross and the 10 doing the pirlo passing and moving the ball.

i think unlike other players (barry, baines) he let Kone get to full fitness before bringing him back. He played the whole 90 last night and looked fine. Might be a little gassed from a prem match, but I'm glad he's back and ready to start scoring, we need him.

yes i wish we had more squad rotation ala Arsenal. Arsene will put out youngsters and some questionable calls, but more time than not it pays off and eventually they see first team action.

yeah man MLS really needs to get their act together if they want to be a "top" league. I love that Juergen just rips them a new one every chance he gets. Then he gets his old coach Arsene Wenger to say "it's not a top league, it's really just a league where aging stars go to retire". Light a fire under Don Garber's ass and get rid of salary cap, remove the trade thing with MLS control, start promotion and relegation, and no more playoffs, its not american football, have the cups, no more frisking draft either, champions league (they need to make that better too) and win the league outright like all other leagues in the world. really needs fixing tonk, i'm with you.
