If i had to hazard a guess, I think Ross just really doesn't like RK, and/or doesn't want to play for him. I believe that RK thinks he has the quality to be great, and is trying to push him, even publicly, to realize that - and I'm guessing it's had the opposite effect on the player. Maybe he has ridden him harder than others in training etc, who knows. The off the field stuff and other things may all factor in, but I think at the end of the day, he just doesn't want to play for RK He has been my favorite player for a while, and I wish he would stay and be an important part of the squad. It's going to be better for Everton if he goes to a top 4 for money reasons, but I fear if he doesn't go to a Burnley, Swansea, CP etc...his career will languish. I'm just pissed because I have to buy a new jersey and have it shipped over now! I may just go with Rooney, he may only be around for a couple years, but at least we know he won't be sold! This. At the start of last year they said that if more that two players (presume captain and the offended player) crowded the ref, cards would be issued to players crowding the ref. I am totally in favor of this, when 5-6 players get in a refs face after a call/no call, every damn one should be booked.

But I'd love to Everton try to push their brand more in the US, especially right now when interest in English football is growing massively. Rooney is a great PR boost even over here, but it would be huge if we could sign a prominent US player. There is talent coming up, but there are just not many American players of EPL quality right now. Yedlin at Newcastle, Cameron at Stoke, John Brooks at Wolfsburg and of course Pulisic.

I would have to think that Williams was/is a stop-gap. Given the age of he, Jags and Baines, I agree and think a couple of CB's will be a summer focus. We have some youth to build around a bring up, but I'd think we need a couple of really solid defenders, especially CB's, that are mid-late20's. Can't help but be excited over where we are seeing production on the pitch this Feb from last Feb - Lookman, Davis, Holgate, an energized Barkley, Schniderlin, Calvert-Lewin. We certainly seemed to have hired the right man this summer, who has brought quality people into the fold.

Agreed. The chemistry is definitely improving, with Lookman-Rom and Barkley-Davies looking very good together. Schneiderlin looks comfortable in the middle, advanced, lying deep - just anywhere on the pitch he plays. We may have only really brought 2 in, but we sure seem to be getting our money's worth from them. I wouldn't be surprised to see Jags in for Mori next game. Hopefully Gana can fit in the midfield without any chemistry disruption, he was a dynamo first half of the year. Hope all is well with your father Pad

The substitutions were brilliant. Davies added his usual grit and flair to the midfield, Mirallas created havoc when he replaced a tiring Lookman, and Holgate came in to shore up the back, 2 more goals actually came out of the counter. Not a good day for our CB's, but Robles has seized the stopper job with both hands, another stellar performance.
