  1. You would, yet Moshiri went underground to scared to show his face at Goodison in case the supporters turned on him. To be honest I’m quite happy for him to stay away as long as he keeps out of football matters.
  2. I wasn’t aware that the interest in him was that big a couple of years ago, we definitely need to overhaul our back line and you make some good points and maybe he is the one to make a significant difference to our defensive woes. From most media outlets we seem to be making a very concerted effort to bring him here, if it comes off let’s hope it’s for the right money because if we stick him on big wages and it doesn’t work out he will be hard to shift and just eat into our already beleaguered finances.
  3. As one of the protagonists is this I agree completely that it’s time to call time on this subject, everyone who wanted to have their say on this should have done so by now, so let’s agree to disagree no matter what side you are coming from, before it gets to far out of control and personal insults and vendettas over take is it not better that we walk away from this as friends so we have the opportunity to enjoy each other’s thoughts in the future
  4. I’d rather we were trying to build a team for the long term not the short term, at 32 Mee must surely be to old to consider, unless of course he is prepared to accept a short term contract based on appearances.
  5. Thanks I’ll keep an eye on his progress.
  6. Have we got a decent youngster coming through that maybe good enough to use as cover in a year or so.
  7. Also we have to take into account the precedent we are setting for ourselves by paying big wages to average players, since we signed Gylfi every player who comes here is looking for £100k plus, we need to stop looking like the club that keeps giving.
  8. I think paying big wages is a problem for the club, our wages bill has crept into 92-93% of our annual turnover. When players on big wages leave we shouldn’t view their wages as free hit for the next player to come in, and as Rom said pay super star wages to average players. When Brands joined one of his tasks was to get the wages bill down, he obviously didn’t achieve it and it increased significantly in his time and has increased again since he left. We need to curb our spending because if we don’t it’s going to cost us points and then possibly our PL status.
  9. I see know point in keeping any players out of contract that can’t improve the team.
  10. We all know that football (soccer) is very much a bridesmaid of American sports, so didn’t really surprise as much as it did Pulisic. To our American friends is Cincinnati a big soccer loving area, the reason I ask is could they gain more support in other cities, although I do realise if you are trying to grow football in the states you need to take it to all areas of the country.
  11. He’s a difficult player to workout, was cast into the wilderness at Utd then goes to West Ham and is given the opportunity to show what he still has in his locker, and elevated himself to the steal of the season imo, wasn’t allowed to sign or stay on loan Utd saw and remembered what they had been missing, forced him to return with promises of opportunities but they didn’t materialise. Utd's problems with management recruitment have been as bad or if not worse than our own and some players end up being victims of an unstable regime, this is how I see it with him proof being give him to a decent manager in a stable club and he can perform immediately, something we haven’t seen from Alli would I have here yes I would, would I swop him for Alli yes I would.
  12. It would be interesting to know if there has been much dialogue between him and Lampard or whether everything has been left to Thirwell and his agent.
  13. I don’t think we should sell him to replace a forward or striker is one of the hardest positions to fill, if Lampard can get the right players in other areas we may be able to play a style of football that allows DCL to be the poacher in the 6yrd box again as he was under Ancelotti.
  14. I thank you for your post and in the years I have read your posts and conversed with you over political agendas I’ve come to view you as one of the good guys. Of course I recognise there is bias whether conscious or unconscious, my problem was the reference to black bias which whether you care to accept or not is a form of racism, and for me being associated as someone who has black biases because I don’t believe DCL should be being paid to do model shoots when his football was in such a poor place, doesn’t go down well in my world hence my reaction to your post. Personally I wish you hadn’t said it or had said people were biased towards him as a player instead of a black man, but it’s done now and we all move on, you are happy with what you said and I’m happy that I have shown I’m no racist and none of my criticism of DCL came from a black bias.
  15. Just read an article from a black American journalist by the name of Jesse Washington for Race and Health care, discussing a poll carried out by FFP, that found 70% of African Americans said that unconscious bias by whites against blacks is a major problem in their lives, posing as much of a problem than structural racism and racial discrimination as a form of RACISM. So to say that someone has black bias or bias against a black man is calling them a racist.
  16. If he is set on leaving then he will be gone, your point on him joining Chelsea is a good point and will help Frank to get what he wants from them. My concern is he is possibly our biggest asset on the pitch and will be hard to replace, and that’s were my concerns lie our transfer dealings over the last few years have been tragic, and will the money be spent on the wrong players and see us in a worse position. I know everyone has a price and the better players leave but our recent history in the transfer market scares the shite out of me, I like to think Lampard would be a big improvement in that department but then I’m reminded of Alli and my expectations sink again.
  17. Of course he implied a form of racism with out using the word racist, please tell me what he meant by using black as the reason he was criticised, surely if he didn’t imply there was a form of racism by those who criticised him he could have have left “it’s because he is black”out. I would criticise any player who’s not playing well and is still taking on paid work outside of football when imo all of his efforts should be concentrating on getting his game back into good shape, instead of taking days off for photo shoots I’d want him to put those days into extra training or whatever to sort his game out, as an Everton supporter I don’t want to see he’s going off on photo shoots when his time would be best served working on his game. And that view has nothing to do with black bias gender phobia or racism. I will leave it here unless of course I am prompted to defend my character again.
  18. Gwald rewind please mate that wasn’t my words they were the words of Dunlop which I was repeating, but pleased to see you agree with me, even if you thought you were not.
  19. I mentioned that as well about the gender, but when he mentioned black and a conscious or unconscious decision to treat him with vitriol, what do you believe was meant by that, I believe he threw a blanket over everyone who didn’t agree with DCL actions purely from a racist point of a few. And when others agreed with his point on blacks are treated differently because they are black the gender phobia accusations fell to wayside, but your right they shouldn’t have that’s equally as repellent and I don’t like being tarred with that brush. A good few months ago it was said that calling or implying some was racist wouldn’t be tolerated and posts of that nature would be removed, Dunlops post should have been removed he clearly said people are treating him differently because he is black, which can only imply racism I can see no other reason whatsoever for that comment. For me the sad thing is those who are meant to monitor this type of stuff added weight to it by running with it. I’ve asked for evidence of any posts or articles that have led him to believe what he said is correct but none are forthcoming. Then you have the post from a member who felt it was necessary to defend himself against racism, if that doesn’t tell you how Dunlops post was received by those who criticised DCL then nothing will and there’s no hope for the future when it comes ending racism or gender phobia. I can tell you all now even though I’ve been cast under this big blanket that I am neither of the above and feel insulted and enraged that I have been in anyway associated with that line of thought.
  20. You shouldn’t have to defend yourself on this issue, but previous and later posts have already found you guilty of racism, if you ever wanted to win an argument just imply that those who don’t see your point of view are somehow racist whether unknowingly or knowingly, you’re bound to get brownie points from those who can’t accept a reasonable argument against something they don’t believe in. This has turned into complete bullshit were the race card has been dealt to shut the opposition up, the proof of this is in your post that you felt the need to defend yourself from such accusations, but never mind you haven’t consciously been racist it’s in your subconscious so will be accepted by those who judge you. But in the future be careful what you say on here about black players to criticise their actions has now become a completely different ball game, it shouldn’t of had the light of day on this topic but some see themselves mightier than thou I’m sorry to say.
  21. A large percentage of people you are sure have a gender/sexuality problem about the way he dressed, but you do think he’s only getting more vitriol because he’s a black athlete, and you believe this whether they are conscious of this or not. What you have done is imply that those who have a problem with his modelling are unconscious to the fact they maybe racist or gender phobics, you haven’t mentioned that some have made valid or invalid points that have nothing to do with racism or gender, you haven’t mentioned that racist could still argue his case and agree with your stance. You have used the race and gender card in my belief to hopefully keep us quiet for fear of being branded a racist, whether you did this consciously or not I do not care it was uncalled for. Still waiting to see what posts or articles led you to this belief.
  22. Because you’re happy with his out of football activities it means those who aren’t must be racist or homophobic in your opinion, show me posts or articles that led you to that belief. All who have posted on here with concerns that his modelling career could be affecting his football ball have given valid reasons to back up their stance, I haven’t seen one post that would lead me to think someone was a racist and I haven’t read an article that I felt was in any way racist. For me your comments of racism are unfounded and belittle the fight against racism by saying white person can’t criticise a black man, you have used a very emotive subject as a cheap shot to win an argument, absolutely shocking.
  23. Get off the racist bus mate if you think anyone on here has an issue with his modelling because he’s black then you couldn’t be further from the truth. I would love you to show any posts that have led you to that opinion, or any article from another source. To be honest I’m fucked off you would try to tar me with that brush, jog on mate.
