  1. I hate to think he might come back and set us back another season, yet there’s this little devil in me that wants him to come just to prove to you all once and for all how poor he is, but then the reality of that soon sinks in and as much as I would love to show you how wrong you’ve all been and how perfect I’ve beenbut I couldn’t bear to see the club I love being damaged by him just for the bragging rights, so I pray he doesn’t come and you can all carry on taking the piss because believe me that would be far less painful than watching him costing us games
  2. None of the above he will offer nothing for this team going forward and cost us games.
  3. Don’t be an arse I’m feeling reinvigorated I wish it was tactics but there’s no tactics involved when it comes to Gona, he must tactically be the worse player I can remember who’s played for us. The only good his signing might do is bring PeteO back into the fold, God knows how much I’ve missed him giving you mods a hard time
  4. But to be fair Bailey and myself agree about his weaknesses, yet those who think he’s a good player can’t agree what he’s good at, what position he plays, if I read all the things said about how good he is, I’d be forgiven for thinking I was reading the attributes of the best player in the world, when in reality he’s not a player who can operate in a system, good teams just pass around him and into the spaces he’s vacated while chasing the ball when he should be holding his position and filling the space.
  5. There not idiots anymore they’ve realised there fuck up and they want to send him back. Let’s start talking about God, religion and homophobia again, at least more people are better informed on that subject than they are football
  6. In stead of pens couldn’t they have a knit off
  7. They would but that would be assuming that Barkley was always on the agenda, I personally believe we are seeing players coming in or being looked at now who 4-6 weeks ago hadn’t been considered this is possibly because our targets have gone else where or are out our price range. On the subject of Barkley if I was able to block a move on his return I 100% would, he crossed lines that should not be crossed by people who paraded themselves as one of us.
  8. I could vaguely remember you telling me something about why you used a pseudonym. I said it was over 6-8 months ago when I read the book, I checked that out and it was over 18 months ago life is just flying by it seems the busier I get the quicker it goes. I will be honest and say for me it was a challenge to read, not because it wasn’t well written but more because of the subject matter, having said that I did enjoy the parts where you wrote of people and incidents that had effected you and your beliefs, more because it gave me a more deeper understanding and connection to the author Cornish Steve that I thought I knew but didn’t know if that makes sense. My overall feeling when I was reading the book was that some of the Preachers and how they used religion to enforce their beliefs against homosexuality was pretty much standard for people who are homophobic, this confirmed in me my belief that no matter what these people did in their lives they would harbour the same views and would be homophobic even if they were not religious, now whether that was your intention I do not know, but that was my overriding feeling after finishing the book. That religion was wrongly used as the vehicle by some to express their own deep rooted hatred against others.
  9. Yeah but that was under Nelson’s command the M5 wasn’t there then
  10. No we haven’t, we are just a bunch of misfits with just one thing in common we are all pricks
  11. You have probably just condemned him to a life on the run and safe house’s
  12. I read it about 6-8 months ago, I thought he wanted to remain anonymous because of threats and reprisals.
  13. Maybe he didn’t want to wear the shirt because he felt it compromised his beliefs, and some people stand up for what they believe in and make a stance, and that was his stance. Your indifferent to gambling as you said you have no axe to grind with it so wearing the shirt makes no difference to you, as for me I don’t believe in the advertising of gambling sites yet have to online accounts, but that’s another story for another day, but will buy the shirt for my collection and won’t wear it. Let’s not forget where he comes from Senegal in Africa where still in a lot of countries it is still illegal to have gay relationships, where Christianity is preached in it’s basic text’s that same sex relationship’s are wrong, and twisted by those who stand at the pulpit spurting out their vile yet still convincing the congregation they are right. Personally I don’t want him back because I don’t rate him as a footballer, his beliefs are 180 degrees opposite to mine and hopefully most of the world, yet I feel I understand why he had that belief, but for the years he’s played in Europe I can’t comprehend how he hasn’t seen a greater understanding that being a gay isn’t evil or disgusting and for that reason he deserves all the criticism he gets because he’s had more than enough time to see what he was taught is wrong. If he comes here will he booed or cheered, will people forget he’s homophobic and support him I sincerely hope not.
  14. Who knows, I really thought he would get a chance as back up to DCL this season, he went with the team to the state’s, yet hasn't had a minute in any of the friendlies and is now off on loan.
  15. Gordon will be our big hope next season, a lot of pressure for him but he will hopefully thrive on it, whether others can back him up will have to be seen. But like you I have huge faith and belief in the lad.
  16. Sorry to hear your not enjoying my posts dunlopp maybe the block function would help you.
  17. But he will also require the backing from the board on his transfer requirements, he may not be scared of hard work, but also he won’t keep banging his head against a brick wall and getting no where. I would put my neck on the line and say that Tark would have been the only 1 out of the 3 he had on his radar at the end of last season, Vin is definitely a Thirwell signing who doesn’t inspire me, McNeil is also a strange one again another player who wasn’t a first or second choice I believe at the end of last season, I’ve seen and read a few stats on how good he is at 3 or 4 elements and how most on here rate him. I can’t help thinking if he was that good why he wasn’t snapped up earlier by someone or why we weren’t in a battle with 2 or 3 others to get him as we were with Tark, not uplifted or inspired by our business so far this window, and if the truth be known neither will Lampard.
