People did criticise others for what was said about DCL when the news broke about his issues, I was thinking you was going the same way with your post if not apologies, but for the record I sympathise with anyone who has debilitating mental issues, yet I’m not prepared to have them used as an excuse for bad performances if you are in such a place where you can’t function properly then you shouldn’t be playing. As a supporter I have expectations of what I want to see from a player and a team, and if my expectations aren’t met I’m going to criticise and look for reasons why they have performed like they did, but I’m not looking for fitness issues no player should be asked to play if their fitness means they can’t perform.
In his interview after the game with Keane he was asked about his catwalk role, is this part of his life now defining him more of a person than as a football player, who knows but it shouldn’t be his main priority should be football.
