  1. The league thing is confusing me slightly if your analogy of leagues and players is correct shouldn’t James be setting the world on fire In Qatar.
  2. I think he’s confused with short term needs and planning for the future. Gray and Mykolenko if he arrives are for the long term and part of the plan, Townsend and Rondon were stop gap players that he trusted could do a short term job for him at minimal cost. I also agree with Steve that we have to promote with in the club but not every youth player is good enough, granted the 3 who came in for the Chelsea game proved to the manager he has youngsters he can rely on if he puts them in, but Simms and Dobbin aren’t going to take DCL and Richarlison’s places anytime soon.
  3. Unfortunately that’s the standard in all fan based events.
  4. This scares the shit out of me he’s on €22 million a year what would we have to pay to get him here, I’m sure he would be allowed to go on free to anyone prepared to pay him 2-3 hundred K a week , I just hope we aren’t silly enough to go down that route again.
  5. Are you completely discounting that he may have stood out when playing international and European football, as someone with the ability to go and become a very good player given the right opportunity. And I would remind you buying players from the top 3 or 4 leagues is no guarantee even if you are paying them between 100-200k a week. We have needed to find another way of doing our business so buying younger players on wages less than 50% plus of some of our senior players who haven’t repaid their costs is a better way forward imo, everything is a gamble whether it be managers or players, and in Benitez I believe we have a very calculated manager and he will make Mykolenko a real success as Gray is.
  6. I agree John, but you know what mate there’s in a spirit in this club that’s been here from the beginning and if we had to play, we would have come through and won of that I have no doubt.
  7. Cute, couldn’t he have got a blue one I meant the collar although you can get blue dogs
  8. Merry Christmas to you mate your a true Evertonian
  9. Let’s hope your not disappointed.
  10. How do you know there wasn’t more conversation, I read this has been going on for a while with plenty of discussion between them. And why has Benitez taken his ball and gone home he’s made a decision in his capacity as the manager because that’s what he’s paid to do pick the team and dictate the tactics, and when the team are up against it with multiple injuries the tactics won’t suit all players and how they would like to play, but team players do what’s required even if it’s not how they would personally choose how play. Luckily in the 3 games without Digne we have had squad of players who have gone out and given their all for the team even if they have had to sacrifice their own game for the good of the team, and in doing so we beat Arsenal and drew away to Chelsea with in between a disappointing loss to Palace due mainly to two poor decisions, one being from Gray and the other from Coleman, not bad wouldn’t you agree. I’m not going to praise Benitez for that as he says it’s not about individuals it’s about the team and long may that last.
  11. No there isn’t anything wrong with questioning a decision as long as you accept the final answer, whether that suits your agenda or not.
  12. Exactly 11 outfield players unavailable due to injuries or Covid, I’m sure Pickford could play up front if needs be
  13. This isn’t about what he may or may not be like now or before as a person, this is about a manager who has the last say on how the team plays and a player who doesn’t want to play for the manager or his tactics. It’s as basic as that so one of them has to backdown that doesn’t seem likely it’s going to happen, and it would appear that the club have backed the manager and believe in his ability to take the team forward so the player has to go.
  14. That’s a shame Steve, these people need to be brought to task and pay in someways for their actions.
  15. Sent you a couple of Videos by email mate of my dog catching rabbits, don’t know how to post to site.
  16. They are probably Springers or could be Sprockers, but they are definitely from a working breeder because the tails have been docked and only breeders of working dogs can have the tails docked.
  17. I have a working Cocker they were bred for shooting mainly pheasant they are trained for flushing and collecting from the peg, sounds like you are getting a show Cocker mate less hyper than a working Cocker, both are very friendly and great with kids, their fur isn’t coarse it’s got the feel of silk to the touch.
  18. The Cranberries for what’s in the bowl on the table I would go along with that.
  19. Your struggle with that mate he’s on loan till the end of the season.
  20. I doesn’t come to that straight away, you get warnings fines and points deduction’s as well.
  21. Apologies Matt for doubting your post. FFP was designed to try and stop teams getting into debts they can’t repay, and to stop asset stripping by owners, whether it works is a different story. UEFA are currently in court battles with teams who have been accused of breaking the rules which I believe has forced them to water down the rules, which means you can break the rules on money spent to income over multiple seasons before serious punishments are administered, such as larger fines, points deducted or being removed from competitions. You can also appeal against any judgment being found against you if you believe you have mitigating circumstances. Hence my reply to Steve saying the purchase of Mykolenko is a bad deal and that we can’t buy unless we sell.
  22. Is this a prelude for you being able to shoot me down , the easiest thing to do is read the article posted in the Echo less than a week ago out lining the FFP rules, that’s what I did.
