  1. I do, I want hard working players with ability and a brain as well.
  2. Great post, the perception by some that if you didn’t want James in your team you lack ambition is ridiculous, personally I was tired of watching us play with 10 men and hoping 11th might do something now and then, and as the weeks went on that got less and less likely. It would seem that 99.9% of clubs in Europe could see that and weren’t interested, shame more on here can’t see he wasn’t a force anymore that had deserted him years ago. Or the other excuse why he should be here even though he’s weak on the pitch is he’s great for marketing, oh fuck off another ridiculous statement.
  3. Mate it would be boring if we always agreed, I’m happy to agree with you as well as disagree with you
  4. Nearly everyone was against me and my views Koeman, I don’t think I was far off when I posted that, just took most another year to realise it
  5. Not with me mate you need to look a bit closer I was more than happy with him in September 2020 before the end of October 2020 I was having my doubts, I’m no fool mate I’m not completely taken in by someone who shines in his 1st 5 league games then does very little in the next 19. It’s becoming more clear that he wanted to leave even before Ancelotti left, and if we do finish in the bottom half of the league how do you attribute that to Benitez, he’s just got here this isn’t his mess and Rodríguez was most definitely not going to change it. For me he was never a hero and he isn’t a villain, he came here started well and finished poorly wanted to leave and got his wish, I’d rather he was prepared to take a wage cut and went to Porto before transfer window closed, to give us a chance of getting someone in who wanted to be here. If you’re such a James fan and pissed with Everton then you know where he’s gone so enjoy your time watching the Qatari league I’m sure you’ll be much happier.
  6. I agree about Allan and Doucoure, how long can Allan carry on playing at the intensity he does I don’t know possibly another season 2 at the most. I don’t see Gbamin taking over from him to be honest I don’t see him ever being a regular in the team, which is a shame really after all the bad luck he’s had to endure.
  7. One 30 year old Colombian who did very little after a magnificent 6-8 game start with less than a year left on his contract wants to leave and that means the club have no ambition, why because they have allowed it or because they never begged him to stay. Is every player who’s left this club done so because the club has no ambition, I really don’t understand that argument that we are shit because we lack ambition, the money spent the managers changed show ambition, with poor decision making the club has invested heavily but we’ve had the wrong people making the decisions. Why are we less ambitious than Spurs West Ham Arsenal Chelsea Leicester Man City Man Utd or who ever you want to name why I don’t understand.
  8. There was no turn of phrase he was asked a straight question he didn’t know the answer someone else had to tell him, your only trying to find excuses for him because you know it’s showing he has no respect for the club, and that clearly doesn’t suit your argument. He’s gone of his own free will he hasn’t been pushed out he walked out, he’s gone to a very poor league for one thing the money that would appear more important to him than the football, he could have gone to Porto the team he dreamed of going back to but he wasn’t prepared to negotiate on the money, someone with a reputed 65 million who would give up his dream because he wouldn’t accept somewhere in the region of 50k a week. I don’t think any on here is doubting he had quality but he wanted to leave and he’s got what he wanted and kept his money at the same time and now he’s just history.
  9. He was speaking in Spanish when he said it not English, now you know that how do you stand.
  10. I think Tosun and Walcott were Brands signings along with Gomes Delph Iwobi and Bernard, Brand’s has over seen probably more poor signings than Walsh and for definitely more money, Walsh has been gone for 3 years but will be blamed for the shit we are in until the tide turns then you will be praising Brand’s for the turn around even if it takes another 3 years. My hope is that Benitez rides all over Brands the team improves and the owners realise they don’t need Brands.
  11. Agreed they are, yet they aren’t or weren’t considered big players that were being looked at by clubs of our size and stature, Benitez is possible the first manager who has bought players in for the positions that need filling, as he said I would have liked money because I could have got a better standard of player, in the past we have just been buying players who have had one or two decent seasons or who have a good past but are close to their sell by date, but most seem to have been bought with no concern as to how they improve or fit into the team, Rafa has shown if you buy players that you need to play for your system they don’t have to cost millions.
  12. I’m more concerned that we don’t lose to Norwich now that would put the skids under the team’s confidence, Rafa didn’t have much to choose from but put players out who have played in the the PL a fair amount of time’s, they should be doing better against the likes of your QPRs to be fair. He held back Gray Doucoure and Allan to give them a rest, and put Iwobi Gomes and Davies in they should be doing better than they did against that opposition same as Holgate and and Godfrey. I won’t be blaming Rafa for the lack of good options due to 5 years of miss appropriation of funds, it’s like we are relying on the same 11 players to be fit and play every single game, take 4 out due to injuries and we are fucked really after spending over 500 million since Moshiri took over, yet we blame Rafa who’s had nothing to spend and we call the 2nd round of the league cup our final, Christ we are in a shit state.
  13. I think you’re asking the wrong people only Benitez can answer that mate.
  14. I really want Kenny to have a worldly he needs to prove he’s a more than adequate stand in for Coleman.
  15. Evidently it isn’t, I think it goes a lot deeper than that, the disparity between white winners and blacks every year is far too big to be just coincidence, unless of course white actors make better actors than blacks, but I don’t hold with that theory so I wish someone could enlighten me as to why the gap is so huge every year.
  16. But let’s not forget his choice. The minute he new Ancelotti was leaving was the same minute he new he wanted to leave. No tears or regrets from me I’m very indifferent to anyone who doesn’t want to be here and give his all to club, so if he has signed for another team then good luck to him and them.
  17. Fair point would people of Black origin feel racially abused if whites had their own award ceremony in a chosen field that excluded blacks. I am very much against racism and very much for equal opportunities so I don’t believe you can have one rule for some and another rule for others. And also no one should have a given right to an award because of the colour of their skin. But I do agree that mathematics has a part to play in it surely the law of averages is a proven law, I would be questioning the judge’s and what the split of whites to blacks on the panel was, also to see what percentage of white judges voted for a black actor against their votes for white actors, and vice versa with black judges, and run this over so many years to see if there’s a common denominator as to why such a high percentage of whites win the awards against blacks Again maths has a part to play in finding if there is a proportionate difference when all the evidence as been collated.
  18. Maybe just maybe against decent teams we will have DCL Richarlison Coleman and Pickford back, do you not think that just maybe that would help make a difference? What you and your fellow cohorts should have mentioned was the lack of depth in the team 3 first team outfield players injured and not a worthy replacement for any of them, and all 3 very much an integral part to this team especially DCL and Richarlison it could easily be argued the best 2 players in the team from last season who have both made a good start this season. To blame Rafa and call him tactically inept for what we witnessed is born out of ignorance to acknowledge the state of the squad not Rafa’s fault, but the fault of 5 managers and 2 DoF who have failed to bring in the right players in the right area’s to give us some decent depth to the team. And not to mention the gaffs by Digne was that because a tactically inept Benitez played him as a LB when he should have played him on the RW, no I don’t think so do you? I suggest all 3 of you were very much hung over from the festivities of the day before ( by the way congratulations to your son and his wife ) and should have had a few more coffees to wake your brain cells up
  19. As we were saying in the other thread he lacks a leader, his one poor game was at RB, not his favourite position as we saw. He is 100% a CB still young and green but with all the talent you need to one day become one of the best, but what he and the team need is a leader to pair up with him someone who reads the game and makes the decisions has a voice, Godfrey gives everything he has he’s a battler doesn’t give an inch he just needs some body next to him on the pitch who can help him develop, Keane and Mina can’t do that they haven’t got there themselves so can hardly teach that type of experience.
