  1. I’ve got to say this I feel so enraged with what’s happened and happening in Afghanistan, due to the fucked up American withdrawal, for the many innocent civilians that have been killed and yet to be killed by the Taliban, the many US servicemen killed and injured at the airport, the many beautiful innocent children killed by a failed American reprisal made in anger and to help Biden get out of jail because of the American lives lost. The American government and its forces advisers are fucking useless bunch of cunts who shouldn’t be allowed to make decisions they are incompetent to make decisions on. As a white British citizen I hate them with a passion they are murderers in my eyes no excuses, I can’t help thinking if I feel this way what are the parents of innocent children feeling.
  2. Yes Matt he was the one who wanted Rafa and got his way, now don’t ask me for the evidence it was widely published.
  3. There is a story circulating that Brand’s and Rafa aren’t seeing eye to eye, to some extent I could see this coming Rafa is very much his own man when it comes to how and what he wants, and won’t be listening to a suit sat behind a desk. If this was to escalate into a full blown war of attrition there will only be one winner in my opinion, and it won’t be Brand’s Usmanov will see to that Rafa is his man and so far proving to be the right man. It will be interesting to see how this unfolds.
  4. It was interesting to read an article which was saying that Rafa wanted a better CB, and that he doesn’t see a decent pairing with what have at this moment so was going to make that his next priority signing. I tend to agree with that we don’t have a natural leader who knows how to run the back line Keane is probably our most experienced CB but is slow and prone to having lapses of concentration, Mina is far too erratic in his defending although good at a last ditch tackle or block you feel most would be unnecessary if he positioned himself better. Godfrey shows great promise but lacks the experience to become the leader now but will grow into that role in years to come, but would make a willing number 2 in a decent pairing, Holgate isn’t a starter for me and possibly would struggle to keep a place in the squad should someone else come in unless of course Keane or Mina were sold to make way. Rafa is playing a counter attacking style of football were we are giving up long spells of possession to defend in numbers then break at speed, could this be to counteract a weakness that he sees in our CB pairing, and if he gets his right man who he can trust to do the job will we then see a more attacking team based on plenty of possession.
  5. Imo he keeps exceeding expectations every season, that’s not saying that he isn’t slowing down or gradually getting worse just that he isn’t as bad as some thought he might be, he has a habit of keeping his head above water through passion for the club.
  6. I said there was more to this than meets the eye in an earlier post, and critiqued Brands for not keeping him here, seems I’m not the only one.
  7. Anything in the states that has an Irish connection seems to get hyped up, well that’s how it looks to me.
  8. Sorry mate, but if we could have gotten rid of James and bought the young exciting fit hard working Diaz in Rafa would be taking us to the next level. Townsend isn’t the future neither is James, but Townsend is a mentor he’s a good example of what you should strive to be for the younger players, our future is Iwobi Richarlison Gray Godfrey Pickford DCL Doucoure Digne and Keane and if we can add the likes of Diaz in replacement of James I’m all for that.
  9. You obviously posted this because you read it and considered it was worthy of been considered pretty much accurate, which after reading I also consider to be well written by someone with good knowledge of what they are talking about. So thanks for sharing it at least we can now both agree to agree.
  10. I agree totally, Rafa would have liked money to bring in better players he has said so himself, but the Gray and Townsend signings have been for no money and have made an instant impact, and that is down to the manager , they are his signings playing how he wants. If people believe he has bought well then imagine what he had lined up if he could have off loaded James and had some decent money to play with.
  11. I’m not sure that he can keep the intensity up would be great if he could but I feel he will be needed to be rested at intervals, and that’s not a reflection on his ability or focus which are spot on but more his age. And I believe Iwobi will get opportunities to play out on the right he has improved and impressed Benitez so we could see him there in quite a few games.
  12. I don’t think we will see that not because the stats are wrong I just don’t think he will be an automatic stater, if he starts more than 20 games in the league I will be surprised.
  13. I know a few hammers fans they like Newcastle fans who ran Allardyce out the club with their protests, ran Moyes out first time round. It would be fair to say all West Ham fans didn’t want Moyes back and probably a big element still don’t want him there, but like a lot of Everton fans who still don’t want Benitez they are finding it hard to show there criticism because basically when teams are winning and points are being won you come across as a bit of a dick wanting them gone, but all that’s happened is they have become sleepers waiting for and hoping things go wrong so they can say they were right, Benitez is shit and a cunt and we should never have given him the job, we know it’s coming as sure as night and day.
  14. I didn’t want to cause a big argument so I tried to be a bit diplomatic but diplomacy doesn’t work here, so I concede to your better judgment he is a test
  15. Rafa and Allardyce for me come from different ends of the spectrum when it comes to management, without getting into a heavy debate about who’s right or who’s wrong. For me Rafa is a tactical manager who manages players to work in a system that he has finely tuned over the years, and Allardyce is a manager who doesn’t really have a great relationship with his players, he sets his team’s up how I would expect mathematician would, who is looking at the stats and then implements those with the highest percentage of success rate.
  16. I love the complete acknowledgment in the body language and face of no hope Pope that there was nothing he could have done to get near that.
  17. If only that was the reality of everyday life but alas it’s not and your soon be back joining us in the cold and rain, hope that realism doesn’t spoil your day Mike, see you soon very very soon
  18. Same as mate, I have one good night every week or two and I look and feel so much better for it the next day, sleep is powerful sleep deprivation is destructive.
  19. I’m still buzzing after last night we had a 25 minute spell where we were unplayable in the 2nd half, Matt usually posts the extended highlights they can’t be ready yet, but can’t wait to watch them over and over again. For those of you who were lucky enough to be there under the lights in a rocking Goodison I’m truly envious you lucky bar stewards.
  20. Like me can’t sleep mate it’s shit isn’t it ?
  21. I went with Keane he’s had a pretty horrific start to the season, but today he has confirmed he is still probably our best CB.
  22. It always amazes me that most fans never see or understand that what you do when you don’t have the ball is equally as important as when you do have the ball, he could have a bad game in possession of the ball, but have a fantastic game off the ball yet he won’t be credited for that, today he had both but he will nearly always give you the latter.
