When it comes to to first team recruiting it doesn’t concern me whether Brands is here or not, now we have Ancelotti that side of the job will be completely down to him, he has to be the biggest person in the club, when managers of his calibre put their reputation on the line they require complete control of that side of the team.

I thought Gomes showed a bit more quality and desire when he came on last week, it was like the realisation of sitting on the bench the last few weeks is dawning on him that he isn’t an automatic choice and if he wants to play he has to fight for his place. Also Mina didn’t do much wrong there wasn’t the usual couple of fuck me moments of what the fuck are you doing that I can remember anyway. I agree he would happily race anyone but he would make sure he was number one driver in any team he raced for, and any other driver would play second fiddle to him it wouldn’t be an even playing field when it came to equipment, he’s earned that right in my eyes and will lead the drivers championship for a few more years to come.
