  1. I hope you’re right I think most would happier with that.
  2. Gylfi must have worked hard in training, 3 at the back again with Kenny on the bench to change to a back 4 if needed.
  3. Like I said we could miss him, it will be interesting to see how we approach this without him, but with or without every man needs to help and cover the man next to him, I want to see a Ferguson mentality in this one from every man on the pitch, and with the right work rate and focus we could do something in this one. And not every good player is suited to every single game and sometimes you need another type of player that offers a different dimension, and just maybe by default this may work better for us in this game.
  4. Everton 2-2 Chelsea Keane refreshing to see the amount of belief in the club you support
  5. No James maybe a blessing in disguise for this one, yes we could miss his attacking play and quick movement up front but we won’t miss him defensively. For me this is a game where we haven’t got the ball 10 men need to work hard to get behind it and win it back, then hit them on the break with the speed of DCL and Richarlison in the space behind the Chelsea defence.
  6. I’d rather have Lingard than Alli and I’ve got no belief in him as a footballer, if either ends up here there is something fundamentally wrong with our transfer process.
  7. I didn’t think it would take you to long to wonder what could be in it for you
  8. It’s a fancy way of cooking the books, in essence all the monies he’s loaned the club since he took over he is now turning that into shares purchased by creating more shares, which I assume will have some bearing on the clubs FP rules, by losing most of the clubs debts in one fail swoop. Well that’s the way I see it anyway. So there maybe not more cash going into the club depending on how much he has already loaned the club to date. I should also of added that’s good for the club in the short term and if things go well on and off the pitch should be good for him in the long term.
  9. I agree Carlo would find it easier to have someone cross the T’s and dot the I’s on his acquisitions, whether that has to be someone on close to 6 million a year is debatable, but like I said I’m a supporter not an owner, so I’m just interested that every Saturday we win so I want the best manager in position to get his own players in and move us forward, and with Carlo we are getting there, if Brands went tomorrow I wouldn’t in the least be concerned if Carlo went tomorrow I would be very concerned.
  10. We won’t if the first team recruitments were left to Ancelotti, what are Brands real successes in the first team Digne, unless of course you want to include Bernard Mina Delph Iwobi and Gomes as successful, Richarlison Allan and James came here because of the managers not his picks, I’m a supporter not an owner I’m more interested in what happens on the pitch not what he can save on A4 paper and Staples.
  11. The delays at the ports are starting to impact businesses already, even companies the size of Honda with their wealth have had to shut there factory in Swindon because there parts are being held up at the ports, when the no deal which over 4 years ago was oven ready becomes official and the EU flex there muscles, tens of thousands are going to be in real peril of losing their jobs.
  12. Seriously he’s the most important person at the club
  13. He’s more like Kante because he’s good in possession and makes great runs upfield with the ball and rarely losses possession, plus his passing is generally spot on and offensive in it’s direction, none of the above could I contribute to Gona.
  14. When it comes to to first team recruiting it doesn’t concern me whether Brands is here or not, now we have Ancelotti that side of the job will be completely down to him, he has to be the biggest person in the club, when managers of his calibre put their reputation on the line they require complete control of that side of the team.
  15. I thought Gomes showed a bit more quality and desire when he came on last week, it was like the realisation of sitting on the bench the last few weeks is dawning on him that he isn’t an automatic choice and if he wants to play he has to fight for his place. Also Mina didn’t do much wrong there wasn’t the usual couple of fuck me moments of what the fuck are you doing that I can remember anyway. But the game against Chelsea will be a completely different prospect, belief in our ability to score goals will be our best form of defence, I’d hate to see us trying to defend and not make the most of our ability to score goals and hurt them for me going down fighting is preferable to going down hiding.
  16. I take it Andrex wouldn’t be your choice of toilet paper
  17. If we go 3 at the back again we need to change how we set up at the moment it isn’t working, we end up getting over run in the middle I would go more with 5 in the middle and 2 up top. With DCL and James the front 2 Iwobi and Richarlison the wide men and Davies Doucoure and Allan central.
  18. I agree he would happily race anyone but he would make sure he was number one driver in any team he raced for, and any other driver would play second fiddle to him it wouldn’t be an even playing field when it came to equipment, he’s earned that right in my eyes and will lead the drivers championship for a few more years to come.
  19. I turned my offer of the flu vaccine down, not because I have any negative views against it, more because I’ve never had a serious bout of flu in my life where I haven’t been able to operate, I know there’s always the a possibility for the first time but until that happens I think I will keep declining it. But when it comes to the Covid vaccine I have already decided when I’m offered it I’m definitely going to accept it.
