  1. Natural goal scorers are hard to come by, look at City last night, Agueros not playing so rather than go with a lesser talented striker who the manager most have doubts about scoring they go with 3 forward thinking midfielders up front, which got the desired result.

When Lukaku leaves at the end of the season we won't be able to replace his natural instinct to score goals, with the likes of Deeny,Rondon,Long and Austin they just don't cut it.

So maybe the way forward could be 3 goal scoring midfielders who can work well as a unit similar to what we saw last night, and forget all about trying to find an orthodox striker.

And please can we stop saying that any of the above which I mentioned are better than Lukaku, there was a time when you would have been put in a asylum for being thought as crazy for them believes, let's just all agree that they are different.

  2. Haf I wouldn't argue with you the majority of strikers in the league do put in a shift, but don't score enough goals, then you have a very small minority that do both the likes of Costa and Aguero, be honest with me when I say that they are out of our league even if Moshiri said here's 100M go and get Costa, he wouldn't sign for us.

The only way we are going to get a player like that in the foreseeable future is mould one, in the same way as Wenger did with Henry.

Shukes your right as well it does appear that as a club we have had a lot of strikers that don't score, mainly because we never had the funds to buy in a proven goal scorer, so the next best thing was to look for players that would work hard to make up for the fact you weren't going to get a good goal return.

Now we have a player the first for years that knows where the net is, and your not happy with him because he doesn't cover as much ground as Deeney, I for one would take the goals over the miles, if before he came here he had it all in his locker then he wouldn't be here, would have been at City, Utd, Arsenal, the shite or still at Chelsea, that is I'm afraid is the reality this club has to deal with at this moment in time.

And Shukes what you said about moulding him into a player that works as well is slowly starting to happen, his last two performances are heading in the right direction, but the sooner he becomes the player we want him to be the sooner he will be gone, then your get your Deeney and we will be moaning that he doesn't score goals, and some will be defending him because he puts a shift in.

  3. Any manager would say the hardest type of player to find is one who can put the ball in the net on a regular basis.

There are loads of Deeney type strikers out there, that will run all day for the team, it looks good on the eye and the stats for the amount of ground covered, but they can't do what they were brought in to the team to do which is put the ball in the net regularly.

To me that makes Lukaku a better player as a striker than Deeney hands down, because he scores goals which is the most important thing you would want from your striker statistically.

The only way you can disagree with this, is if you believe that scoring goals isn't the most important asset a striker should have.

  4. On the subject of Scottish independence I believe once we start the process of leaving the E.U, we actively encourage Scotland to hold another independence vote and keep our fingers crossed that they vote leave, because our economy is going to shrink and it would help us if we didn't have to keep bailing out there 15 Billion deficit.

And I'd even go as far as to say if N.Ireland and Wales wish to follow suit let them go with our blessings it's money in the bank for us.

Cornwall can't go we'd miss there Pasties and cream teas to much plus there very dog friendly.

  5. The Watford game proved Barkley wasn't at fault for the way we have been playing, possibly most fans would agree that that was the worst Everton performance they've witnessed in 15 or more years, Koeman didn't drop Barkley to teach him a lesson he dropped him because for some reason only he could come up with, is McCarthy could do better job in that position than Barkley, he has quickly realised that he's made another monumental fuck up in picking a team.

Can you show any evidence that Valencia has not been match fit for let's say the last 10 games, I've looked but can't find anything you are referring to, unless it was August or early September maybe, he has trained like the rest of the team twice a day five days a week, and if a manager thought a player wasn't fit he would stick him in as many reserve games as possible to get his match fitness up.

He hasn't played him because he didn't rate him simple as that even when he was getting his cameo appearances the supporters could see he was making a difference but Koeman couldn't.

  6. When the prime minister said yesterday that it will take about 10 years to sort a trade deal out with the E.U, do you think she was lying, just to appease the E.U elite, when we were excluded from a meeting with all the other members to discuss our exit do you think that was just for show to keep the natives quite.

I think we are going to have a real tough time a head of us, the Germans, French and Italians will make sure of that, they won't want an exodus on their hands so will make sure we are made an example of.

  7. And some people believe everything Koeman says.

Rubbish what you said about Valencia.

So your saying he was right to play McCarthy against Watford as the number 10.

And Barkley deserves to be dropped when the whole team are playing shit, and he's being made to play in away that doesn't suit his talent.

Wake up and smell the coffee mate.

  8. I think He's been making bad choices in his quest to try and help his defence do there job, cause let's me honest he has been left very exposed by some dodgy defending in recent months, he needs to trust his defence and possibly Tuesday's result may go someway to steadily improving the trust between keeper and defence.
