  1. Feel the hate.

    The venom is unbelievable.

There's nothing shy about Shy Talk.

And Shy for got to mention Besic he was a another good signing by Martinez, just unfortunate he suffered a bad injury, but when he recovers hopefully he can prove himself and he is a Koeman type of player, fingers crossed for the lad.

So calm down it wasn't all bad.

  2. Indeed, and Kroldrup was pushed out quickly, Bilyaletdinov scored and we recouped like Kroldrup and the other thre mentioned were gambles for small fees. Moyes did sign a few pups, but that was over 10 seasons and frequently made money on his transfers, the throbbing lefty (not MC) attempting to compare clown shoes with Moyes over transfers is on a piss take.

Moyes was very shrewd in the transfer market, bought cheaply and sold expensively, to achieve what he did for this club on nearly the smallest budget of any club in the league for nearby all is tenure is remarkable.

Martinez did by a few decent players in McCarthy, Delli, Mori and Lukaku, maybe 1-2 aren't for Koeman but if they were all sold they would turn a massive profit to more than offset any losses elsewhere.

  3. I'll take that as a compliment, was informed the other day by two posters that the Guardian was a respectable paper with honest journalists.

Don't know what you've been reading a lot of or who your leave friends are, but even those who run the leave campaign have admitted that they lied about the money they were going to put into the NHS, and that that lie played a big part in the vote to leave.

  4. I think we look a lot better all over with 3/5 at the back. The system suits the players we've got currently - 433 or whatever the official set-up puts Lookman and Barkley out wide- both would benefit more from playing in natural positions in a 532.

For me our best line-up currently is...

    ..............................Joel................................

    .......Holgate.........Williams........Mori...........

    Coleman...........................................Baines

    .............Schneiderlin.........Davies................

    ...............................Barkley..........................

    ......................Lukaku........Mirallas.............

Gueye, Lookman, McCarthy and Barry all could slot in and replace when that team needs rotating and freshening up.

Your right we have looked a lot more solid with that formation, the defence looks a lot better and it suits Williams to have two youngsters either side of him to orchestrate, and we don't sit as deep in that formation.

I think the only change I would make to your starting line-up is Lookman for Mirallas, more because I believe a big man and small man front two gives defenders more problems, and also Lukaku and Lookman could gel given a few games together, where as with Mirallas he not so much a team player.

  5. No there not, there are some quality papers and journalists who hold people in power to account and ask the questions we will never get the chance to. They play a vital role in our society and they must be defended from Trump and the rest of those media haters.

Unfortunately there are some papers and magazines who sully the good work of legitimate papers and journalists by taking things out of context, exaggerating and in some cases lying and they should be exposed.

Name them because I'm not aware of these papers who allow their reporters to print the truth and ask the questions that go against the political views of their owners, and could cost them money and political persuasion.

Don't believe what you read in the papers they print what they want you to believe, because it suits the needs of the media moguls who own them, do you really believe that would let a reporter print a story that could arm them even if it is the truth, but I bet they would allow a lie to be printed if they felt they could gain from it in someway

  6. See my comment the other day in another thread. Everton has one of the best records in the world for securing value for money in its signings. This is because we're willing to take risks. We can't praise the team's transfer record while also complaining about it when a player doesn't work out.

Did you ever see the episode of Star Trek TNG when Picard played it safe as a young man instead of demonstrating leadership by taking risks? In that alternative life, he remained an ensign. Same thing. Take risks, reap reward, accept that sometimes players won't work out. For every McGeady there's a Lookman.

    Spot on Cornish.
  7. The forum should also be fun, if we went and banned Haf this forum would be 10,000 posts short. He isn't a trouble maker, he's a passionate Evertonian who has an opinion. Ok he gets into arguments over his opinion, but that's from his passion. I don't agree with his opinion on Lukaku, I respect him as a man and an Evertonian, this place would be a worse place without him.

He's not the only person who lets his emotions boil over, but that's not so bad is it?

    It's a forum, it's not a boarding school.

StevO it isn't just a difference of opinion on a subject it disintegrates into a personal slanging match and the subject becomes secondary, your right that banning isn't the way forward, they need to message each other arrange to meet in a car park and sort it out like men have for thousands of years.
  8. Its the way we have always voted. Historically, most people accept the result of an election/referendum (except the EU if it goes against them) Its the same in the US, people complaining about the vote when its the way it has always been done. In the last General Election, SNP got 56 seats for 1.5m votes. UKIP (thank goodness) got 1 seat for 3.9m votes, so there are always anomalies but its the way it has always been done and for a very long time. The electorate also rejected proportional representation. So yes, democracy does rule.

I wouldn't call the lies of Johnson, Gove and Farage as democratic, if I could convince you to give me your life savings to invest but lied and spent your money you would want me to be charged with fraud.

If what they said they were going to do with all this extra money the country was going to save doesn't happen, and if we are worse off and people lose there jobs and savings and potentially their homes, shouldn't we be able to charge them with treachery, or would you say they it was there democratic right to lie.

  9. You evil git you hurt my feelings there............... well if I actually had any they might have been tickled a bit

Seriously though I went to study Applied Biology (Byrom Street) :P

I suspected it wasn't politics or economics when you said you voted to leave, Rubes that was said in jest.
  10. I wasn't the only one who said a couple of months ago that he was proven himself in the U23s, and should have been given another opportunity before he was shipped out, more to fill everyone's curiosity now it's been filled and he is doing the business unfortunately not for us.

Nearly everyone posting on here has highlighted the need for another striker as cover for Lukaku and occasionally to play a long side him, I'm starting to feel that Koeman may have scored a massive own goal with his unprofessional attitude towards Niasse in the way he publicly humiliated him, because as some of us suspected we may of had that striker required already in our mists, only the manager couldn't see it or wasn't prepared to back down and lose face on his poor assessment of him, so we ended up with the star that is Valencia.
