If we hadn't had 8 points deducted this season, and we where already pretty much safe (since pretty much Xmas) around mid-table (rather than in a relagation battle), you can't help but wonder if the 777 Partners would have found it significantly easier in raising the funds for purchase of Everton FC had we already had one foot in next years PL.
Ground broken and comittment to the build made and then the overnight enforced loss of the actual Russian billionarie who we all know was behind the ownership of the club and the real money behind everything, three years of relegation battles, 18months of talk of PSR, whole season of being charged and docking of points, 30-40% raise in the cost of construction works - as well as poor management there are some massive slices of very bad luck in the timing of what is arguble the single biggest investment the club has ever made - all now currently now being done on a rudderless ship.
I am going to hazard a guess that the stadium will possibley come in around £150 to 200M over the original budget forcast.

The biggest stumbling block with 777 is that they can’t raise the money, and time’s running out for the club to avoid going into receivership, and what that could mean for the future doesn’t really bear thinking about.

I did I hold my hands up, but Ste couldn’t answer my question but gave me the weight of some other building, I can only assume that when they do go out I’m probably there as well.
Any how can anyone tell once completed what the stadium will weigh.

They need to concentrate on staying up through merit on the pitch, instead of acting like sad losers before the season’s over.
I have no sympathy for people who look to prosper on others misery, if you want to succeed go and work for it.

Cumbria mate...surrounded by the bloody stuff. It's a crime that we have to pay for it when we could go up the road and help ourselves 😂😂😂

If you can carry on making your mortgage repayments until you are ready to sell and the value of your property is more than mortgage then yes it’s an asset.
BMD should have been an asset to the club in more ways than just financially, but because we can’t afford the loan repayments and still haven’t borrowed all the money needed to pay for it, it’s turned out to be a millstone around our neck.
Have you told your wife and kids of your plans for a financially secure future for yourself, when you do let me know how you get on when you get out of hospital 😂

Palfy reacted to Matt in Sean Dyche
I'm trying to stay optimistic. The league are pushing us into bankruptcy. But I think any new owners will only buy with the stadium as part of the deal, allowing them to pay off all the stupid loans we've been lumped with using a remortgage and hopefully decent marketing opportunities. There's so much potential revenue with the stadium, we are still an attractive business venture in that regard so long as the league don't continue in their quest to destroy the club.

So we need to find a buyer who has around 1 billion in cleared funds to buy the club and pay off all companies who have put hundreds of millions into the build of the stadium, because until they are paid off we can’t borrow against the stadium.
I know there are people out there who can find that sort of money, bar the stadium I don’t think we are a good enough proposition for any company to risk that sort of investment.
I wonder if Chong and Thelwell went on Dragons Den whether they could convince the Dragons to stomp up the money.

although, when the story came on in detail it said they will not be defending their title next season as 777 are pulling their funding.
Can't even fund a women's basketball team!!!
back to doom and gloom!!!

No, what I mean is...
The asset makes the debt 'safe'.
Like, I owe X amount on my mortgage. So I'm in debt.
But my house is worth twice as much as my mortgage. So, I'm OK. No panic. Keep making my payments, everyone's happy.
If I need to lend more money, I can. Because I've got this asset that I can still get cash against.
If, for some mad reason my wife went off with my boys, I'd have 2 rooms spare. Now I can rent them out and make money.
So now I have an asset worth more than my debt and it's generating me income.
Happy Days!

Most of the team can, but we play a fast long ball game and players feel the pressure.

Quite easy to replace Onana, we've got a tremendous track record of signing overhyped lazy fuckers who don't give a shit about the club.

He did indeed do that. But it's the culture he brought with him. The arrogance. Him, Koeman and Benitez of the same ilk in my opinion.
I agree in sorts with what you say there about Dyche. Until the last paragraph. Then I don't agree and feel that sort if criticism is too far for the job he's done so far.
I'm going to see how we fair in the last 6 games before finally deciding where I am with him. I'm a bit 50/50 now as I'm not happy with how long the run lasted and some things said recently, how we've gone about things etc.
