  1. That is such a great goal,, sublime turn leaving Ali at sixes and sevens, deft flick, Bernard waits and waits until the right moment to strike.
  2. Son is an exceptional player, ( taking aside his “tackle” on Gomes which was just below where I sit and horrific to witness) and leaves many for dead, I wouldn’t crucify Tom on that, but he could have done better I agree, as it was clear to see what he was going to do.
  3. I doubt he’s match fit for 90 mins, I expect him to be either be subbed off after 60 mins or come on for last 30
  4. Tom like most of the team, looks like he is benefiting from having an experienced manager at the helm, I think Tom has had 5 managers since that goal against Man City, lack of stability and direction will have had a huge negative impact on him. Carlo has taken him out of the limelight for a while and has slowly reintroduced him, ( without the crowd who historically have given him a hard time, me included, but I groan at every bad pass) . I don’t think he will become a superstar, but will develop into a solid player who we can depend on. I like McTominay from what I’ve seen, not sure about the other 2 though.
  5. Anyone fancy taking Lloris? I said it earlier this week, every keeper has a mistake in him, as does every player, it’s highlighted in a keeper as it tends to lead to a goal against.
  6. Tom Davies for me, only seemed to have one thing on his mind, to drive the team forward, the improvement in his game over recent weeks has been immense. Another team performance which makes it harder to single out one player for MOTM, long may it continue.
  7. Heart in mouth stuff all night, we are starting to look like a team that doesn’t roll over. Ive still got Bt on i the background, arsewipes taking up Spurs more than us, as they did all night
  8. You have the morals of a yard dog! I’ve never managed to get to a final either, highly unlikely it will be in front of a crown this year, so we all know what’s going to happen now I’m a ST holder
  9. True, but how good is James’s heading compared to DCL
  10. I’m one who keeps saying it, and we will never know if it’s true or false as they can’t play in goal together to compare like for like, what I do feel is games where Pickford looses his head and the rest seem to follow and we loose the game, maybe not as a direct fault of his but possible cause. Of course time moves on and we’re more settled as a team under Carlo than before which will have a positive effect in most games.
  11. Highlights the fact that a keeper has nowhere to hide if they make a mistake, FWIW I think Olsens calmer approach gives our defenders confidence in him, as much as I rate Pickford as a shot stopper, when he wobbles it makes the whole defence wobble.
  12. I hope he gets some decent game time, no point bringing him in if he doesn’t, we need to see if it’s worth a proper contract in the summer.
  13. Doucoure just edges Tom for me, both gave excellent performance and were pretty much everywhere they needed to be, Doucoure obviously has a huge engine, he popped up all over the pitch, got the important first and calmly recovered the ball to find James for the second.
  14. Yeah I saw him saying that also, love his passion, he is going to have a great career as a blue.
  15. So good to see us hang in there and get the point we deserved ( just ) Utd had three quality players who all scored, the first two being quality goals. Great out of the blocks in the2nd half and then stood off and let them back into the game, could have lost 4-2 but we pushed on, won a free kick and did what was needed. Olsen at fault for their third, De Gea even worse for our second. Holgate poor game, needs to sort his game out, King looks like he will do what we’re hoping from him, Tom Davies had a good game, always looked to drive us forward, and we needed to get the ball through to Richy and Dom when they were making good runs. Hopefully we go into Wednesday with confidence from this.
  16. Can we stop talking about skiing please, i should be going to Courmayuer next Friday, but it’s all cancelled of course, there’s a good ski forum where we can bleat about skiing
  17. It’s to reduce cramping, Kyle Walker started it a couple of years ago, or it could be just a fashion statement like ripped jeans ?
  18. Olsen gets my vote, 4 crucial saves in 10 seconds ish, and I think we could have crumbled under the pressure with Pickford in between the sticks due to panicking, Olsen seems to bring a calmer back line when he’s on. ive given a thumbs up to all above as they are all right. Cheers
  19. Just about getting down off the ceiling, don’t want to watch another 2nd half like that again, resilient at the back but poor in front of goal, we had the chances to put it to bed. Good games from Gomes, Mina, Digne, Doucoure and Godfrey brilliant once again, Olsen kept us in the game and made sure we won the 3 points. DCL off but still made a nuisance of himself, should have had a hatrick, Siggy drifted out, Richy tried and showed improvement, Iwobi so erratic never sure what he will do, Holgate poor tonight, slow to hoof the ball for the first and awful pull on shirt to get the yellow and give away free kick in dangerous area. 3 points which we’ve got the be happy with and much improved from the weekend.
  20. Our best 45 mins this season for me, dealt with their attacks and got the end result with 2 of ours. The pitch is horrific, how the hell can you lay a new pitch 2 days before a PL game, I’m worried someone is going to get hurt by the pitch. Poor defending from Leeds for the first, lovely to see Dom flying in at the back post again. Olsen is playing a big part in our game, his calmness in goal gives the whole team a feeling of calmness, he may not be as instinctive as shot stopping at Pickers, but the overall calmness outweighs that for me. Need to keep calm and get the all important third now, sod my score prediction!
  21. He can’t, the registration was too late, makes it rather wierd that he’s on the bench other than feeling part of the squad straight away. Dont like seeing Delph on the bench one little bit either. Got to hope Carlo has it right and we do a similar job to Wolves tonight.
