  1. Maybe not as captain, but was a great player for us.
  2. Would have preferred him to lift himself off the ground last week when W Broms 2nd brushed his hair
  3. When did Zaha play for Spurs? Joking aside I think he’s the unsung signing for us this season, he covers so much ground and with true purpose, there were some sloppy passes in the first half, but he didn’t let it get at him, sign of a good player, very similar to Richy not having his shooting boots on until the Fleetwood game.
  4. Gave my vote to Allan, but it could have been anyone else bar Mina who had a few too many wobbles. A thumbs up for all posts above mine.
  5. And we’re top of the league! It certainly wasn’t our best game but we got the points which is what is really about, we played some nice football at times, and when we did we were in control, need to keep doing that.
  6. Palace are good and tough to play against. DCL is doing what he’s being asked to do, stay in between to posts, previously he wa running everywhere and we thought he was great, but couldn’t score, I know which version I prefer.
  7. A good manager is going to say that, he’s not going to slag him off in public if we’re looking for a keeper as prices will rise, or trying to sell him as Pickford value would drop. The past two games he’s had poor back passes which seem to have given him a head wobble and caused him to loose concentration, Carlo will have picked up on that and will be working on it, both with Pickford and the defenders.
  8. He’s been brilliant the last two games, strong on the ball, and much better close control, his 2nd tonight and the assist for James at the weekend we’re both great. Still doesn’t smile much though !
  9. Niels, another brilliant game, full of running, prepared for take a man on and delivers dangerous balls in to the box, and what a smile, looking forward to seeing a lot more of him. Richy deserves a shout, a man on a mission tonight.
  10. Just watched the Leicester clip, he needs to shoot more, starting tomorrow night!
  11. Oh yeah again, can you post that so we can all enjoy
  12. Gylfi’s beauty against Fulham 2 seasons ago, West Ham last season when he left Wilshere on his arse, and one against Watford which left Foster rooted to the spot spring to mind, although he should score more IMO
  13. 10:27 MAN UTD ABANDON CALVERT-LEWIN PURSUIT Manchester United have pulled the plug on their attempts to sign Dominic Calvert-Lewin after Everton placed an £80m price tag on the striker, according to The Sun. United are looking to bring in a forward to support Anthony Martial and identified Calvert-Lewin, who recently scored his first career hat-trick in Everton’s 5-2 victory over West Brom. However, United have been thrown off the scent by Everton’s valuation of the 23-year-old, which if met would be their joint-second highest transfer fee, level with Harry Maguire and behind only the deal that brought Paul Pogba to Old Trafford. Feck off Utd, probably lazy journalism after his hat trick at the weekend, but never the less FO!
  14. Agreed, would much rather Delph moved on, if he can walk OK that is.
  15. A loan is my preferred option at the moment, Mina doesn’t do it for me as Saturday proved, wouldn’t be too fussed if he gets moved on.
  16. I saw improvements last week, not so this week, jury is still out. Let’s see what he’s like this Saturday.
  17. Glad your OK. Re the shit talking It’s always been there bit without the ability for it to be picked up by all the media etc. MJB if you’ve never seen it have a search for Kevin Keegan vs Billy Bremner from 74!
  18. It’s a tough town, and I should know I grew up there, I know a few lads who had major injury’s from the Sunday leagues
  19. He was erratic again, but the back pass from Mina was awful put him under pressure from the set go, maybe knocked his mojo off kilter?
  20. MJB, I have to ask in all seriousness if your OK, some of your recent posts have been out of sorts from your previous ones, I hope you are.
  21. FFS if he doesn’t know the opposition strengths and weakness what’s he been doing all week, if that is true that’s really poor and unprofessional ( and in no way a dig at you Bailey BTW )
  22. Is that. Cunning plan Baldrick? Seamus has Zaha in his pocket at Goodison last season, made him look very average, hoping for the same on Saturday.
  23. I thought he played it to the letter of the law, Gibbs slapped his face, clear red.
