Great days work from Dom, I’ve always liked and rated him, but as others have said his goal return wasn’t quite there for a No 9, mainly cos he was running the lines left right and centre, oh how we cheered if he won a header from a long clearance and then got himself on the knockdown, then only had to beat the other defenders to get a shot away. Carlo now has him playing as a CF getting in the box, and the number of balls into the box has increased, guess what, he is getting opportunities and converting. Add Richy finding the net and we’re going to be awesome, his disallowed goal was a beautiful strike, real shame it didn’t get shown on MOTD.

Poor piece of play from Mina for their first goal, reminded me of Maradonnas goal in 86 where he ran though England’s defence without anyone putting a tackle in. Just put a tackle in Mina

Poor first half from what we were expecting, defenders all stood off for their goal, we’ve let far too many loose balls slide under our feet, but we stuck at the game plan, smart finish from DCL, then determined work from Richy sets up James with a smart finish. Gibbs looses the plot with a hand to the face, and Bilic is Bilic. A bit more composure and well,have a hatful or goals in the second.

That’s rotten luck for both players, really do think we need to strengthen in this window now.

Everton 4 WBA 0 DCL

No, not a CF, he’s either a winger or attacking mid, he certainly needs to bulk up, take a look at how DCL has changed his shape over the past three seasons, I remember seeing him take his shirt off at the end of a game a couple of seasons ago and his was very toned with six pack etc, but now he is much bulkier making him a real handful for defenders, Anthony doesn’t need to bulk us as much but does need to fill out and become stronger IMO.
