  1. Yea it’s fine. I like the white inserts on the sides to give it some contrast.
  2. But this has little to do with production on the field. Lukaku was a hugely valuable player for us. His loss was massive and one can argue we have never filled that hole. Because he was more obvious about wanting to eventually leave for a bigger club people seem to dislike him. But is there really so much difference between him and Richie? They both gave us 4 years. Both stayed a year beyond what most people expected. Both wanted to leave for a European club. Lukaku was a more valuable player for us in my opinion. He just never loved the fans and the club the way Richie seemed to. But in the end they stayed the same amount of time and left for the same reason.
  3. For me it’s always the collar. We’ve had some bad ones. Decent collar and some personalized details and it’s hard to go too wrong
  4. I get it. Easier to pull for a player you feel loves the club. It does make me shake my head a bit though. Like getting dumped by a beautiful ex only to declare that she wasn’t all that pretty anyways. With Richie here the feeling is that it’s our fault he left so there isn’t that pushback. Though I think he was always gone, barring Europe.
  5. Get the forensic team on this. I can’t imagine it’s Richie. They’ve known he’s likely to leave for awhile so unless they did this many weeks ago and then somehow didn’t notice
  6. Just seems like an odd thing to worry much about. We just avoided relegation, sold our best player of the last several years, have a possible takeover in the works, a new stadium under construction etc.. The new record shirt sponsor having a logo that’s larger than some might like a drip in the ocean, no?
  7. It’s the same size as the other clubs they sponsor.
  8. Definitely have to trust Frank to evaluate the qualities of a midfielder. Winks made good sense on loan as a decent technical player that would have cost little and provided depth. Have to be careful with who we buy outright given out constraints.
  9. I’ve been getting our 3rd jerseys for a while now. Usually pretty different/colorful. I only get the Blue if I particularly like it though I may this season as it’s a new sponsor.
  10. To be fair Lukaku bagged 25 for us that year in the league. Pretty good for a lazy oaf.
  11. Even if I grant you that unlikely scenario that would only prove that Ings got the better of him that game, not that Mina is poor in the air. Your hyperbole suggests that your analysis, in this case, might not be entirely objective.
  12. Stats don’t lie but they can be easily misinterpreted. Short sample sizes are pretty meaningless. Maybe he was the favorite for every one of those balls and did terribly. Or maybe Ings was the favorite for every one of them and he did very well. If I go 2/2 from the penalty spot it wouldn’t make me better than Richarlison from there, despite the stats.
  13. I think you’d be in a small minority there. Keane is really the only other candidate who has played enough to be considered and Mina has been much better overall. I would guess most of us would want to keep him, even on high wages, if he could keep himself on the field.
  14. Mina has been our best CB over the last couple of seasons when healthy
  15. For me what hurts is that he’s better than Everton.
  16. As an attacker I do think he’s overrated a bit. He’s dangerous and direct but his end product in creating goals for himself or others isn’t as good as it should be. Perhaps in a better side with great attackers he will blossom but I do get your point. What makes a 50m+ player is harder to see. He’s very responsible and effective defensively for a winger and he has a big heart. Despite the flaws in his game he’s gonna run through a wall for his team and give everything. That has a lot of appeal. He’s not a great player at this point, I agree, but he can be vary valuable to a club in terms of decent production, defensive contribution, versatility, spirit.
  17. Yep. Tarkowski in plus need the Richie sale.
  18. Most of the “happy to collect a wage” players are gone or going.
  19. This is about what I expected him to go for. I think he’s like a 60-70m player. Not surprised we’d get the lower end, given circumstances. It is possible in a better team he gets more out of his game and improves that 10%-20% in the final 1/3 that would make him a truly world class guy.
  20. I’ve heard people say if we don’t sell a player by month’s end there is a fine and possible points penalty. That’s the part I find difficult to believe. We’d theoretically have to take 10m for Richarlison just to get a decent sale in. That can’t be how this is set up. If it was surely we’d have already sold him.
  21. I’ve heard that about the accounting year but it’s crazy to me if it’s set up that way and not just “in the window”. Would put us in the position of having to accept whatever deal just to comply. It’s hard for me to imagine the league would be that short sighted to put a club in that position.
  22. He’s very young and he’s English. Of course there is a premium there.
