  1. Eh. It’s actually exceedingly rare in a case like this that the deal wouldn’t go through. He’d likely be announced already if it was allowed legally. The point though is that we brought a CB in without selling one (or are trying to).
  2. Tarkowski is effectively signed so… I do expect Mina or Keane to go. I’d prefer to keep Mina but given his injury history and wages it will probably be him.
  3. I’m not particularly a Davies guy, I just think he was a more measured player before the injury. Previously he was quite the headless chicken out there.
  4. In a lot of ways Bannon is worse since he helped create Trump and he knows what he’s doing. Trump is a tornado..destructive but sort of a force of nature that acts exactly like you’d expect him to act.
  5. Depends. They are young. I think everyone liked how Myko developed and we do have CB’s who can slide to the wings in a pinch.
  6. Seems unlikely a club would release the exact details of an ongoing negotiation. I suppose my question would be what credible source is this information coming from? You hear these reports every time a player is rumoured to be coming and it’s almost never accurate to the final number.
  7. Are we sure that’s not Jeff Bezos? He could fund us with the change from his couch cushions
  8. I have to believe this doesn’t happen unless Moshiri puts it out there. Especially with our value likely to go up when we are in the new stadium. That’s why I was recklessly speculating that he may have taken a financial hit over the last couple years and be looking for support/to cash out.
  9. I think Davies was improving before his injury. Or rather, maturing. Bit less headless. Interested to see how he comes back .
  10. I’m sure he’s on the inside then and privy to negotiations
  11. I wonder if it gets to this point had we gone down. Fine margins
  12. From what I’ve read it moved from funding support to the possibility of a full takeover. But, yes, he will have been aware when he put out his statement.
  13. Rampant speculation on my part here as I don’t know the details of Moshiri’s business relationships but is it possible that he’s been hit hard (indirectly) by the various Russian sanctions and so might be more agreeable to a takeover than would have otherwise been the case?
  14. I would guess that on average most billionaire owners/consortiums are going to be of that ilk.
  15. Yep. In supermarkets companies pay more to have their stock at eye level. In casinos it’s layout, free drinks, pretty women, air conditioning, even pumping a bit of oxygen into the room so you stay alert and gambling.
  16. This has little do with anything football related but I don’t believe Bannon and Trump are allies at this point. Trump tends to discard people once they’ve served their purpose and Bannon lost control of the monster he helped create years ago.
  17. I think everyone appreciated Gana for what he provided but plenty (fairly in my opinion) thought he couldn’t pass it or shoot it.
  18. Seems like this has to be done then, yea? Just waiting for his contract to run down.
  19. I hope this isn’t sort of official account for their club. If so, super unprofessional.
  20. I’m sure any deal is factoring in the stadium in the valuation and is part of what would make us an attractive buy. To be expected, no?
  21. Other than the mining/Goldman Sachs evil billionaire stuff.
  22. Anyone want to clue in a semi clueless Yank on the concerns with this fellow/the consortium?
  23. Yes. Mine was a bit tongue in cheek as well. I might prefer we start slower as we came out flying the last two seasons.
