  1. Wonder how @Cornish Steve will manage to make England shit tonight
  2. Apparently the GoFundMe page for the German fan pictured crying has reached £25,000 which is absolutely embarrassing. Thousands of good causes that money could go to yet there's a truckload going to someone because they were on the wrong end of a football result and were in the stadium and in front of a camera - the fact they were there at all says that they had enough money for flights, tickets, accommodation etc so no doubt aren't on the breadline.
  3. He comes across as a really nice guy (would happily have a pint with him) but he has a knack for reporting absolute twaddle. The kind of guy that would say that Nuno Santo is in the building at Finch Farm 15 minutes before we announce Benitez. Not something that I have a lot of trust in, so I don't give his reporting the time of day. Fabrizio Romano is the man to follow.
  4. Opened the link and saw Guillem Balgue's face looking back at me - closed the article and didn't read any more.
  5. There were banners against Martinez, at the end of his tenure is was as toxic as I've known Goodison and to be fair to Moshiri, he pulled the plug before the last game of the season against Norwich. That said, the rest of your post I do agree with. Funny how his acknowledgement of Moyes means that he was in the frame to take over - even if unsuccessful.
  6. Unbeaten and zero goals conceded, proper shite aren't we.
  7. Glad you agree that it's six previous managers, not ten .
  8. It's just a copy/paste from Southampton's template too which is what pisses me off. Everything about the leaked Everton shirt and the one below is the same, apart from the Saints trademark stripes of course - the annoying thing is that I remember seeing the collar on the Southampton shirt and just hoping that it wouldn't get moved onto ours as it's absolutely abysmal.
  9. This statement speaks volumes to me, no "I had great conversations" or "I was really sold the minute I met him". Just a generic statement from the DOF which shows to me that this appointment has totally split the boardroom. Won't end well this.
  10. Might aswell add Craig Shakespeare then when he managed for a single game, when Allardyce had his operation. The names you mentioned are not permanent managers, so won't be included on any official lists - it's completely wrong to use them in any form of statistical analysis.
  11. Roberto Martinez, Ronald Koeman, Sam Allardyce, Marco Silva and Carlo Ancelotti are 5, no? Benitez makes it 6.
  12. To summarise what I think (as I've done it to death in the other thread). - Not my preferred choice, but at the top half of a bad bunch. Wouldn't be surprised if he's gone inside 18 months though. - The banner outside his home made me want to get right behind him, so whereas I'm not jumping for joy wish him the very best. - Not excited about the new season, think the club is in a mess to put it bluntly but will still be there at Goodison Park for the opening day, being there through the shite makes the good (if it ever comes) all the more sweeter.
  13. Pickford has gone from someone that I would have happily sold to someone that I wouldn't even entertain offers for, no matter the price. One of the first names (perhaps ironically given his position) on the teamsheet for me.
  14. What a time to be alive. People crying before the game but Southgate got it spot on, soaked up 10-15 minutes of German pressure but then when they ran out of ideas flicked the switch and got us across the line. Two great goals (tap ins, but so well worked) and we have a tie against Ukraine or Sweden that we should win blindfolded. Tonight was special, just an unbelievable football game to watch.
  15. Outstanding save from Pickford, top stuff lad.
  16. Nearly vomited there - can't stand shit like that. Similar to how that idiot on RAWK wrote a poem for his "sweet prince" Luis Suarez when he was banned for biting.
  17. The banner at his house threatening him directly made me just want to announce Benitez immediately and get behind him, I don't stand with vandals or criminals like that - I stand with the true Evertonians who despite their difference of opinion come together to put the club first. Good to see that the response to the banner is (on the whole) utter disbelief and disgust.
  18. As much as I'd like to sit here and slate Ancelotti did King do anything during his cameos to suggest that he should get a start? I'm not saying that either party are totally at fault, but it's worth remembering that we're talking about Josh King (who was signed as an emergency back-up from the lower leagues) as opposed to a proven striker. If someone such as Digne, DCL, Richarlison came out with words like this, then it would carry much more weight.
  19. Surprisingly comfy this spare bedroom ...
  20. Portugal 15 minutes away from being eliminated . Both sides have been pretty ordinary IMO and both should be frustrated if they end up on the wrong side of this scoreline. Correct on FDB too @Gwlad all over, four games and zero goals which led to his sacking - I know a Palace fan who said he was abysmal, apparently berated the players in training and just never got going.
