  1. Saha better pass to beckford, in the times I have seen them together Saha has chosen to ignore playing beckford in on more than one occasion. A more positive line up by moyes, let's hope the damage isn't done to the morale of the team. Would have prefered to see yak with beckford or even Vaughan.
  2. We can't give our strikers service, what good will Owen do? He can't score outside 10 yards. Besides the overrated midget made a point of letting it be known he rejected us.
  3. Great article. As it happens I have joined the evertonians for change group. The need for change is a bit of the way in front of the get rid of moyes at the moment. I'm hoping moyes sorts this mess out, however I do not have much faith at the moment. A bit more time he deserves however. As for the circus upstairs their time is up, if moyes was to get the sack they would face scrutiny from mr Hansen, lawro, dixon etc as to the lack of backing. They are certainly in danger of being smoked out due to moyes recent performance - something that needs to happen.
  4. Or play him in the reserves on a wet cold night in widnes. I want him to feel the difference between hero and villain and maybe the best way to put thst right is to give him the platform to respond immediately. We know the ability is there, he needs some surge of adrenaline to get out of the Jamie redknappitus he seems to have caught.
  5. Let's not get carried away, he couldn't play Duffy ahead of hibbo at centre half, unless we get some easier fixtures in cups I don't see us getting a glimpse of gueye and garbutt.
  6. surely the shame or shock may give him a much needed rocket. Can't be good being on bench knowing you are top earner, especially when you are adored by the fans.
  7. http://www.prem38.com/Other%20Pages/versus_the_big_4.htm Comparitively (to other clubs) - even recently when things have been on the up, performance versus top 4 ain't great. I recall a table produced a year or so ago and it made depressing reading, will try and find and add to this.
  8. He's not comparable as one of the best managers in the league as he is the longest tenured without winning anything. Not to say that we should have expected to win the league but his performance in cup runs bar a final and a semi has been poor. His performance against the top 4 managers has been poor also. His salary has progressed to the level of the top 4/5 managers, however the same cannot be said for his tactics, he does not seem to have progressed in that regard. His performances alike the team have been up and down, his negative tactics still apparent against teams we should dominate.
  9. Got to agree, Garbutt is hardly the smoking gun in Moyes hand at the moment, we have the best performing left back in the league at the moment. Duffy > Gueye > Baxter > Mustafi > Joao Silva all should be considered for the bench ahead of Baines, if he gets injured Neville or Distin would do a job there. I think at times decent threads can be made tedious by labouring on unimportant/inaccurate comments. That said, hopefully Garbutt is understudy to Baines at present, he along with Distin and Cahill asre the only players covering themselves in glory. Regardless, I still can't believe Hibbert was played at centre half!
  10. Lets face it - can he do any worse than Jags at the moment? Not one fan would begrudge Duffy being given a start at the present time given injuries etc. I feel that another chanting session like we did for Coleman may be needed, seriously irritating. Moyes gives youth a chance?
  11. I will be happy to see Cahill go to the Asia cup, a great player for us in terms of what he gives in effort etc, however I will be interested to see how the balance is affected. I have thought for a while the team is structured around his inclusion, which may be detrimental to the play of others. When we had that tedious thread around him being world class, many of the posts made were constructive against him being world class and that was down to his overall abilities as a midfielder or striker. It is by no means a criticism of Cahill, but highlighting an over reliance on certain attributes a player has by Moyes. Cahill needs to supplement the team, not the other way round,
  12. The fact that some of us are fearing Felli attacking mid etc says alot about what impact moyes tactics have had. Two out and out strikers together, if they miss they miss, but ffs moyes makes out he's given the strikers a picnic this season, all he's done is apply pressure on them.
  13. Blimey, reminds of the days where you couldn't wait for your spoilt mate to go on holiday so you could join the race to borrow his commodore amiga....
  14. Yep just heard bill is pushing for a few shows of blood brothers to be played at the new Brighton floral pavilion, should be able to pay for the air fare for ravanelli and Branco to discuss terms...
  15. Yak!!! Seriously, the pace and tempo of our play we need a striker who is happy to be marked by 3 players by the time the ball gets to him.
  16. Moyes needs to change, he needs to assess his attacking coaches, maybe shift round out and get a more attack minded assistant who will test his mindset. Look at the way Blackpool are set up, they have a right good go at teams
  17. Blimey, your loyalty is something to behold. With me it's a case of thanks for the memories but everton f.c is the only thing that gets my loyalty. If that shower across the park can get rid of rafa despite European cups, fa cups etc after running out of ideas and dismantling a half decent team then why are we held to a manager who also appears to have lost his way? The warning signs have been there for a while now, tactics, team selections and substitutions, his record with strikers is poor and it all seems to be culminating now. Unless we are taken over in the way that city and Chelsea were, then we are stuck with moyes and his mega wages. I would suggest he needs an assistant manager who is attack minded and who would challenge his negative way of thinking. His vow to carry on doing what he has been doing is scary, we will be in the drop zone soon.
  18. Moyes record with strikers is abysmal, he turned Andy Johnson into a right bloody winger, let teams sit deep and wack the ball into the corners. For the way he employed his strikers post Marcus bent you would have thought bent was still playing. His reluctance to allow an out and out strike partnership time go develop is an outrage, all because Tim is an effective goal threat. Do chelsea play lampard as striker? Nope, he is a midfielder with a license to get forward who supplements the trio of malouda, drogba and anelka. Any striker will question the logic in moving to everton with the service that the strikers receive.
  19. Me, many posts ago. Plus that drama queen teary eyed, boys pen, tommy Steele, elvis in London cannon ball kid charlatan.
  20. To elaborate, we have questioned on here so long board support, tactics, contract extensions, so on and so forth. The truth is that the team has stood still whilst those all around have evolved into an efficient premier league outfit. The game is getting tougher and tougher each year, drawing reliance on varying footballing attributes, moyes has been caught trying to create a team that seems to replicate free flowing arsenal with the ability to put the ball away of tranmere. I really can't see how we have any clue how to score unless it comes from the left handside of baines, pienaar and Cahill header.
  21. As if, pienaar for free or the potential 2m says an 8-10m profit for any club. Beckham on loan is the marketing divisions dream.
  22. Gueye, for managing to deal with the piles he has gotten watching the crap we have had to tolerate whilst wondering what will become of his talent...
  23. I actually think you are moyes. Especially now that you have said you don't watch the reserves and you are on the way back from Stoke, add to that you defended hibbert at centre half, and Cahill as lone striker. How is the bus? Did you stop for ice cream?
  24. Chickens, home, roost
  25. Hibbert is not an option. Seriously kenwynne will be made up if he plays centre half.
