why did RM hesitate to take McCarthy off when he initially pulled up? I do love RM but he needs to get a bit more savvy with the old injuries. Soft tissue injuries all over the place.

That's Kone for ya, hasn't been involved for a year but he gets the boys together for a picture.
  4. Garbutt for me. Huge game for the lad and came through with flying colours. Rom gets plenty of stick from me but but credit where it's due gets second. I want to see him put as much intensity and focus on his all round game as possible, his finishing is top notch.

Yeah I know I seen it Brett as per comment above. Was I going to cloud over it by reinforcing what Clarke Carlisle just said? I wasn't because it was great play and I hate Carlisle. But now you've brought me into it he said "with Lukaku you dont know if it's going to bounce off him or stick"

Great play Rom more of that, great pass. Finish Kev.

I'd look at giving garbutt time at left mid in some games.

I'd like to see a couple of young lads come on now we are through. Why risk more soft tissue injuries.

Are you another one with selective reading Brett? See the word "tremendous" by any chance? Right next to finish. If you want to ignore the fact that his touch meant that he actually missed the ball and had to go left to retrieve it then by all means fill ya boots. I said tremendous finlsh ffs. If Tim Howard passed the ball to an opponent but made a world class save from the error would you just forget to mention his stupid pass? Nah didn't think so.

I've said all along McGeady is going to continue on an upward curve. At the moment you will see him at his best in Europe, but next season in the prem he will great.

Are you fuckin kidding me?! I said his finish was great and his finishing isn't in question. His touch is abysmal, he nearly fell over a ball played on the deck to him.

That was Lukaku right there. How did he nearly fuck thatup?! After he recovered what was a miscontrol of a through ball to put him one on one his finish was tremendous. He really has got to sort those feet out, his finishing is as good as I've said.
  13. Carl Froch gets nominated????!!!! Sure they didn't mix him up with Carl Frampton? I really dislike Froch - for a start he ain't all that he is cracked up to be and I can't wait for his arrogant ways to be halted by a big loss. He gets nominated for his fight with George Groves.... says it all.
  14. “We have confirmed Steven has a soft tissue injury,” Menaing an injury to muscle, ligaments or tendons. Which accounts for 95% of all sports injuries....
  15. Tragic news. Unbelievable that a cricketer should die. Then when you look at the speed of the balls launched then its not surprise that if one gets you on the head then its potentially fatal. I guess what will happen is that the helmets will be redesigned to cover the exposed areas. For me, as a non cricketer, I've never understood why bowlers do "bouncers" - the idea is to bowl at the wicket or get the batsman to take a swing that will get him caught. One flying at the head isn't an inviting ball.
  16. He should not go to the ACON - purely for the fact that they haven't paid his wages for the past year and do they really want to foot the bill if he breaks down?
  17. It's clear as day that Roberto knows what the lad can bring and even with the emergence of Naismith and addition of Lukaku and Eto since we signed him RM is keen to get him involved. As I say, I watched him a fair few times for Wigan, and without being a fox in the box - he is a very effective forward in terms of holding up the ball, and using his athleticism. He is the type of player who will supplement Eto and Lukaku's goalscoring instincts. I do fear that this injury will have taken a yard of pace, but fingers crossed he can make a decent contribution for us. At least just to patch him up and sell him on for a few million if needs be.
  18. They have been playing him RB, his main position is CB and they like him in there. With a steady and experienced partner - which Spurs don't have he will develop tremendously. I like the look of the lad, similar to Stones.
  19. I would look to bring in another 2 centre halves if i'm honest. I would sell alcaraz for £1m or so, based on his injury problems. I honestly think Stones could do a job at defensive midfield - not that we should need him there but I look at Jags and Stones as the partnership next year. We could therefore do with another top end centre half and another for potential. I wish we kept switched on to Eric Dier £4m will be a bargain for him - he and Stones will be a top class partnership for England in a couple of years.
  20. We have Long and McAleny waiting in the wings, hopefully these boys kick on and prove to be premier level if not at the very least able to bring in a few million each. Both look like natural finishers.
  21. Set up the two best chances of the 45 for us.
  22. Mate who is there said he did well. Let's get it right, he hasn't played in over a year. It's all about progression now. He is the type of player who will compliment our forward line.
  23. By all accounts he played pretty well, solid 45 minutes and had a good run out.
