  1. Mcgeady will be a popular name on the back of manybshirts next season, Mark my words. Genuinely excited by the lad.
  2. Simply put, lukaku is a very capable forward who will go on to have a solid career. The physical attributes you hope to turn him into some hybrid of Duncan Ferguson and Alan Shearer just aren't going to come to fruition. He's average in the air and isn't balanced enough to use his size to a great effect. Give him space to run into and hes great, but many other strikers are.
  3. Centre halves take a good while to mature, the majority of their game is mental. Duffy has the ability in the air and strength.
  4. I think he has dodgy Hamstrings.... 2014 January 1st - Hamstring Injury 2013 November 15th - Hamstring Injury 2013 September - Hamstring Injury 2013 March 4th - Hamstring Injury 2012 October 12th - Hamstring Injury 2012 September 25th - Groin Strain 2012 September 1st - Knee Injury 2012 March 17th - Hamstring Injury 2012 January 4th - Hamstring Injury 2011 December 8th - Hamstring Injury 2011 November 25th - Rib Injury 2011 March 25th - Ankle/Foot Injury 2011 February 10th - Groin Strain 2010 August 30th - Ankle/Foot Injury 2009 December 17th - Hamstring Injury 2009 November 25th - Groin Strain 2009 November 8th - Groin Strain 2009 October 1st - Virus 2009 August 20th - Knee Injury
  5. Imagine how you would feel being a city fan now. A player who has caugtht admiration from all over has basically said "right., i'm off because I never got jelly and ice cream with my birthday cake..." - they pay him £225k a week... The game has become sick. I would love it if he tried it on and City plonked him in the reserves, made him train with the kids and fined him 2 weeks wages every time he became insolent as a result. He would soon change his attitude.
  6. the majority of their fans arent bothered.
  7. That's looked like good business now... worth approaching terble that now. not convinced by him myself, and yeah he does come across as a wide boy.
  8. I must agree with Bailey to a degree. Yes, buying aguero, Suarez and yaya would actually win us the league - seriously it actually would. But those players are looking at Rooney on his 300k a week and knowing how valuable they actually are means they can pull our trousers down every time they feel like it. They would win a league and piss off for more money, not create a legacy. Some players are retainable, the very best just aren't really.
  9. Found his level, that said they beat us in the fa cup final years ago so that history may intimidate him. Do I feel sorry for him? Do I bollocks. Probably start wearing a tracksuit, talking down to the reporters from the brummy echo. "16th place is a great achievement for a club like west brom" "We are playing Everton today, it's like taking a spud gun to a knife fight" "Well, we are playing Leicester city, we will be trying our best to get something out of the game"
  10. Pretty certain that kenwright said we would fail our saftey certifacate years ago which is why we needed Kirby....
  11. well there you go... he will be ready after pre season. Thats my point. http://www.evertonfc.com/news/archive/2014/01/16/martinez-mcgeady-looking-sharp
  12. As soon as they go into that league of salaries then the likes of sturridge, sterling, coutinho etc are going to be demanding £150k a week...
  13. Looks a really reliable source that newspaper...
  14. McGeady is at a level above Deulofeu at this present moment, Gerry's decision making at times was horrendous and he didn't realise the need to try a different trick. There is not one footballer on the planet who if left to train with kids for a couple of months in a foreign league is going to be any where near premier leage pace and fitness, if anything McGeady shocked me with how quick he got up to a decent level. Take it from me, he needs a pre season.
  15. He's the architpical knob head you work with who makes out they live and breathe the job, takes notes at every meeting, churns out all the buzz words, in half an hour before shift, last to leave, butty at desk and never has a hang over. All of a sudden you have a good stint and you see them giving you funny looks and point scoring shit starts.
  16. Good luck to him if it's true. Still very raw imo but all the attributes. I like the look of mcgeady.
  17. Ha ha, let's hope eh. I'll be honest, to me he was always just a part of the mega money manager merry go round circuit with ancelotti, Capello, hiddink, lippi, and in all honesty the gigs they get it's difficult not to look good. Rooney will fall out with him, guaranteed.
  18. I want him to get his bollocks out, that will make me laugh...
  19. Gotta love the express, they can't get anything right, his wages are £120k a week not £80k a week. It may happen, not too worried though.
  20. He effectively ended his season in September when he was banished to train with the youth team in Russia. He then clearly put some beef on and was rusty. In any normal given circumstance you would equate that to an "end of season" effect on his body. He had basically stopped playing. You wouldn't expect players to come back in August without having been on a pre season training camp and play 90 minutes.... With a pre season behind him and his family settled I expect to see a beast of a player. His feet are electric, so quick its untrue, and he isn't shy of pace. Watch this space, this lad is gonna be great for us.
  21. I knew that was coming. At least it can be said I wasn't a glory hunter, Liverpool had just won the league. I've always said, you can't really be a fan till "you have been to a game" - not necessarily that you need to go to the games, but to get an understanding of the club going the match is the pivotal moment.
  22. I just never bought into his "Look at me, i'm the ultimate professional" act. I reckon a fair few of his team mates found him hard to stomach with his teachers pet mentality.
  23. I was a Liverpool fan, the logic to an 8 year old growing up was "where is Everton" - I didn't even know it was a local team. All I knew was Liverpool is close, had been there shopping and they won things. The first game I went to see was Everton in December 1984 5-0 we won... the rest is history. My brother has always hated the very fact that to a non fan Everton does not tie in with a location. A bit like Arsenal I suppose.
  24. http://www.watfordfc.com/news/article/140519-fa-cup-final-30-years-ago-1558483.aspx We beat Watford 2-0 in the FA Cup final. I will be honest, I wasn't a blue at the time, that happened 7 months later. Nice bit of nostalgia... share memories of the day here....
  25. Yep, alcohol degrades Muscle and affects protein synthesis. Apart from that dehydration etc etc. I love a beer, but thejn again i'm not fortunate enough to earn £50k a week being a pro sportsman. Could be worse Rooney is paid £300k a week and has to be the worst conditioned elite footballer i've ever seen.
