Yeh I agree with a lot of that Romey, especially about Jags because a couple of times he lost his marker.
 
On the flip side RVW does look like a very good player and he will pose more of a threat than other strikers.

Being a manager doesn't always make you right - it means the decisions you make are there to be judged. That's why he gets paid over £70k a week. As it stands, the team he manages has an army of fans who will have a vested interest in such decisions.
 
It wasn't a nothing game, it was a live game where he could have given the likes of vellios, Barkley, and Duffy some 1st team action and valuable cup tie experience. Instead he brought on two players with dodgy knees who aren't going to tell us anything we don't already know. Two players who I don't believe have a future in the club - make that 3 with gueye.

Take Sahin, Assaidi and Allen out because he didn't inherit them. Those players show my point because he's improving the squad with the players he's bringing in. But yes, I would say it's a pretty bad squad. Apart from Suarez (and maybe Lucas if when he returns he's as influential as he was before the major injury) there aren't really any stand out players. Sterling could be a massive player for them but it's too early to give him such a tag yet. Gerrard would once have been a stand out player but he's on the decline. And then you've got mostly kids fleshing out the squad.
