Jammed one in. Thank fuck. Now move that striker Lescott up front.

Bring BAINES on. Why the hell he is on the bench is beyond me. Changes NEED to be made at half time. I just hope Moyes has the sense to see that at least.

I too in the past have supported Moyes but this is the last straw. Totally useless performance tonight. If we go out Moyes will have a lot of "Moyes Out" people to deal with. What I'm watching is the most piss weak performance by any Everton team. Our best chance at this stage is to fluke a goal and for it to go to Pens. This is fucking depressing.

Shows Moyes hasnt got a clue. Why bypass the midfield when we have the likes of Arteta there????? Who wouldve thought we could play worse than in the 1st leg?. Anyone watching this would think that Metalist are desperate for the win. They look more dangerous than us.

Totally agree with you. Jagielka is useless. I tell you what if a miracle happens and we win the tie I might actually feel a bit sorry for Metalist coz they seem to be a much better side than us.

How crap are we? They are so much more comfortable on the ball. And what tactics has Moyes sent the team out with. All we seem to be doing is lumping it forward. Try playing it on the ground you shower of shite.

I had a dream Sunday night that we drew the away leg with Metalist 7-7. Needless to say my dreams never come true but that scoreline would do, even if I would probably end up having heart palpatations.

Its not going to be easy. I fear that they will put everyone behind the ball and defend their away goal. I hope Moyes uses wide men coz if there are 10 men behind the ball going down the middle isnt going to work.
  9. And our best performances this season were with Lescott playing Left Back. Maybe youre onto something here Sandman.
  10. We have NO IDEA going forward. What looked like a promising season at one point just keeps getting worse. Think I might put some money on Sheff Wed.
  11. Its the text ABOVE the number that I have a problem with. He is shite.
  12. I wouldnt bother with that new aerial if I were you.
  13. Yep, we are capable but like you I have no confidence and doubt we will. Hows this for a scenario. It ends 1-1 and goes to PENALTIES .....God Forbid.
  14. AJ has never been the fantastic srtiker some people make him out to be. Is he shit?? Not totally, but hes not far off.
  15. Moyes does appear crap but he's got our defence sorted. Moyes was a defender himself and unfortunately we attack like a bunch of defenders. Just because Moyes probably used to hoof the ball into the box himself doesnt mean we should. I say Keep Moyes and get rid of Irvine. we need a coach to sort out our forward play.
  16. Or even 12 yards Moyes was a defender and you have to admit our defence is generally good. But its attacking where we look crap. Perhaps get a coach in to sort that out. Irvine was not a great player and probably a worse coach. If we have Gravesen and Arteta in for the return leg I will be quietly confident but the other players still have to step up a level from that debacle tonight. The long ball tactic should not exist at Goodison, especially against the likes of Metallist.
  17. Ive said before that I like AJ for the work he puts in but that he is no great centre forward and tonight after missing 2 penalties hes just confirmed my thoughts. The 1st disallowed one I suppose we can blame Carsley for running into the area but those other 2 were garbage. Most of us wouldve done better (seriously). Typical Everton though. We never make it easy do we. Its going to be hard over there. I get a feeling they will concentrate on defending that away goal. If we have Arteta and perhaps Gravesen then I'll have hope, but if that same team turns up in the Ukraine then we will be fucked. If we get knocked out we WILL be a laughing stock. In just about every game this season our best players have been our defenders. Its time for the midfield and forwards to earn their money.
  18. Totally agree with you. Gravesen should walk into the team. we needed him and Arteta today. Although why we "needed" them against an unknown Ukrainian team is beyond me. Put it down to tactics perhaps. TERRIBLE performance. Set up for an arse wobbler over there.
  19. Very sensible post. I agree with just about all you say there. I am not a fan of Phil Neville but agree with you that he would be "good cover for a couple of positions". Pienaar- I am still to make up my mind about him too. For me though, the jury is also out on Jagielka. I know a lot of people see good things but I'm yet to be convinced.
  20. Dont know if anyone saw some of the Tottenham v Arsenal game. Anyway, Arsenal were in their usual strip of Red top, WHITE SHORTS and Red Socks and Tottenham were in ALL WHITE meaning that both teams shorts were white. WHY?? Does anyone know? I Thought they tried to avoid any sort of clashes. Just curious.
  21. I agree too. He is crap. Deffo our worst player today.
  22. Annoyed coz we shouldve got something out of that game today. Phil Neville is useless. He has to be phased out. gives the ball away too much and gives away too many free kicks. Its a joke that he gets picked for Everton every week nevermind England. Baines is class, man of the match. Arteta played OK but WHY is he reluctant to shoot. a few times he got in a good pozzi but failed to have a crack then either lost the ball or passed it to someone who then lost the ball. Jagielka didnt look like a premier league player today, he'll need to improve. Lay off Hibbert, he played quite well today and didnt hoof it as much (maybe he's been reading some forums). Cant lay all the blame at his feet (or head) for the goal. You could say Yobo was as much at fault if not more. Anyway it was simply a good goal and hard to defend against a corner like that. ON THE BRIGHTSIDE, when was the last time we played Man Utd and restricted them to bugger all shots? Wessels didnt really have much to do. Annoyed also at the ref for blowing his whistle when Yakubu left Brown sprawling on the floor after misjudging his jump. Play shouldve continued and a simple pass to AJ would have left a simple tap in for 1-0 (even though he probably wouldve hit the post or something).
  23. Well I only vaguely remember so perhaps therein lies the difference. When youre young you have different perceptions, you being older possibly saw a truer picture. Prob late 70s but I used to like Tony Currie alot too.
  24. I think most people that even vaguely remember Don Revie's team of the late 60's & 70s holds some sort of respect for Leeds (Bremner, Lorimer, Clarke, Eddie Gray, Joe Jordan, Yorath, Giles, and the list goes on). Their fans on the other hand. Well, thats a different matter.
