  1. Birmingham have won one cup, and will beat Bolton in their next FA cup game....all this cup glory is really going to impead prem survival!! We have no such problem Clean sheet and a win.Playing Birmingham always makes me think of Bob Latchford, have we ever lost to them since thoes days when he always scored against them?
  2. Got draw written all over it! Our season isn't over, a really decent finish and who knows. The players replacing Fellaini and Cahill will have things to prove. Big teams will always lose to lower league teams, always have, always will, get over it! Six more points and I'd say Moyes could try and blood a couple of youngsters, that's on the understanding that other teams at the bottom don't also do well in the next couple of weeks. 1-1 If either team manages to grab a winner, I think it will be us.
  3. Yep, except this man was an Evertonian! Which means, that after he was struck by lightning and bitten by a snake, he was eaten by a tiger BUT!.....The tiger didn't actually kill him......and he recovered, AND infact got stronger until he was better than he was before the bad luck, things were looking good for this man and people were expecting good things from him.............. But then he went out in a thunder storm....and was struck by lightning, and.... POOR EVERTONIAN MAN
  4. I'm thinking that at our best we can meet the challange of Aston Villa or Man City, SO that makes the Reading game massive. In that case, best team and don't hold back. Reading will have no fear, that's what makes them dangerous.Maybe Arteta's rediscovered form (about time), will be just a little bit too good for them.A couple more goals for Beckford wont do him or us any harm. 2-0.
  5. We seemed to improve as a team when we sold Rooney. We will never know what would have been if he'd stayed.Wouldn't he have wanted a move at some time? He wanted more money, trophies and fame and that's what the lad got. If selling Rodwell improved Everton in the long term then I'd say yes sell him.How could you argue with overall improvement. Would we sell Rodwell to become a top 4 side? Can we improve at the moment with no money? It's a big question you've asked.
  6. Footballers need vests! How else would they proclaim their love for their Gods or their wives without a white vest to scribble on! Had a bit of trouble myself with an item of clothing when playing football way back in my late teens. Not long into the match I became aware that the elastic in my underpants had been stretched (by a bit of tight marking) beyond repair.Tried to play on, but things just weren't being protected, and one ball on the pitch was more than enough. Told the manager, who was running the line, and his suggestion with the refs approval was to nip across the road to the his (the managers) house where his wife would provide me with a pair of his sons pants! It was bad enough leaving the game for such a reason, made worse by the fact I was met at the door by the managers daughter What did I want she asked!!......Eeeerrrrmmmm, I eeerrrmmmmm, I NEED A PAIR OF YOUR BROTHERS PANTS !!
  7. I said way back in this thread that we could beat Chelsea on our day! but that it would have to be "one of thoes days"....well it was, we didn't exactly play well (we've played better and lost this season), they missed plenty of chances, and we won a penalty shoot out.We must be the first team in history to win a penalty shoot out without using a striker as one of the five takers. Howard was excellent, Baines also.Cahill playing deep, even when fit worries me, it just doesn't usually work, if Tims not on the edge of the opponents penalty area or attacking the goal then he gives away too many fouls or just doesn't really do enough. Behind Saha when he's on fire in a good Everton team he's probably a big player, but today he was poor. Beckford will probably improve, hell I can see him scoring the winning goal past Man Utd in the FA cup final. The league is still the big worry, I would sell our place in the next round for 9 points if I were honest
  8. Every league game at the moment spells pressure, has done for the past few games, and the next few will be even worse, so! Chelsea way, and not in the league, no pressure.Chelsea will be pretty big favorites!so that's an extra plus. We know we can beat them on our day, just has to be that sort of day. Moyes' face last week after the Bolton game told a story, Oh I don't see Moyes walking any time soon, no I see him working his nuts off to get things turned around. Away from a nervous Goodison, with massive support, I predict one thing, no not the result but the performance.I think Moyes is on the verge of namimg and shaming, so I see some big performaces forthcoming. They better, for the sake of Everton football club.
  9. For me right now, a blessing would come in the shape of a very thinly disguised three teams, probably already below us, starting to have a terrible run where they don't get more than a token couple of points.THAT would be a blessing in disguise......not being relegated. Still going to win the FA cup

    Bolton (Away)

Well we all know Romey has his own fan club when it comes to his match reports And I don't always agree with his opinions....BUT! I don't think a better summary of a game of football has ever been written than the few but well chosen words above. I can't see one word out of place. FUCK IT!

    Bolton (Away)

Beckford should be up for this, create six chances for him and watch him whack in a couple. Get it tight at the back and we can win this.
  12. Yawn! No us football fans love to see footballers owning silver plated cars and buying up whole streets of houses so we can rent from them and in doing so give them a bit of pocket money! If oil rich arabs bought Everton, pumped hundreds of million of pounds into the club, paid money grabbing players who didn't give a shit about Everton £150-200,000 A WEEK to play for us, managed to buy us a trophy in their first season, even fill the youth team with the best Spanish and French youngsters.....would I walk away from Everton, probably. People should stop buying petrol and go to the theatre more often, that way Kenwright would make more money than the Arabs. It's the only way forward.
  13. English fine!.....contribution excellent. Not much wrong with beer and chocolate. Welcome Decades.
  14. Look mate!.......This team was your idea, it's your football and you've probably got a better axe.............Get rid of Brad Seriously, hot dog steakes for corner flags!......come on WhodatEFC, I can't wait for your first game under floodlights.Don't tell me, 10,000 fire flies in moonshine jars! Once again, good luck with total (Dutch) football.
  15. "just a thought"!.....Tell you what, it's a bloody funny one
  16. Hello WhodatEFC, Yep sure was a good story! Liked the bit where you and your mate/buddy went down to the forest and cut down a few trees. You then made them into goal posts and crossbars, I'm loving that image. Now! it sounds like your team have trained really hard, fitness, stamina and skill, so there's a question that has to be asked.........can any of your team play right back. Because if they can, can we trade them for some sharp axes' and some corner flags. Seriously, good luck with your venture.spread the name "Everton", and have fun playing the beautiful game! MikeO, it may not be wrong of you to think of your sons teacher like that, BUT, to post a picture of her like that does make me wonder..........have you got any better ones!
  17. Vic seems to be improving slowly, suffered a really bad injury last season, that didn't help. He's a long way from the finished item, but he has a chance.A four year contract seems to prove he's showing well in training, what else could the contract extension be based on. Vaughan was blessed with an eye for a goal, blistering pace, strength and very soft bones. I'd keep them both, they are both still young-ish, don't give up on them yet.
  18. Just how good is Rodwell? This has been a poor season, just the kind of season you suspect a prospect would push himself forward and make a name, bit like Coleman has done.
  19. You don't seem to understand the word Saga!.......kinda means tale/story. Suddenly a player nearing the end of his contract asks for more money/longer contract, will Moyes/Everton meet his demands?, will he stay, will he leave?, will Moyes sell him in Jan or make him see out his contract?, how much will he get for him if he goes in Jan?, will the money be re-invested in a new player or just disappear?, how will we play without him?..........This went on for months = saga. You used the word "Drama"! Strange, I saw no drama, just the little on going saga listed above. I only included the Pienaar saga (tale or small story) in the reasons for Evertons sad league position because I've seen at first hand what unsettled players can do to a team. That's how I can imagine what it could do to the rest of the squad. The Lescott saga/tale didn't do too much for the Everton cause..( oh and to save time and effort, no Lescott didn't conduct himself like Pienaar) You use the word lambaste!.....read the post, don't remember doing that.Pienaars been my favorite player for at least a couple of seasons and has given his all, NO player gave MORE effort in a match than that man, they may have given the same amount but not more. Massive blow to Everton losing Pienaar full stop......I've included, the on going saga/tale of this for me sad event as, (for me) one of the reasons why this season may be off course. I answered the question, are we a top 6 team anymore, clearly at the moment the answer is no. Why the fuc% do you want to make a drama out of a saga!
  20. How the hell do you know what was going through Pienaars mind! He wanted more money/to leave at the begining of the season. His team mates knew exactly what was happening, ie an unsettled player, a player destined to leave must have a bearing on some things. Is the grass greener, that's not something you want your players contenplating. Pienaar has been an excellent player for Everton and more often that not gave his all, but contract disputes will always get in the way. Pienaar played his best untill the derby!!.......if you say so He was our best player last season, if I played along side him I'd be unsettled if I knew he was leaving. It was obvious Everton weren't going to increase his wages, he's been on his way all season. This may only be a small contribution to Evertons poor season, but a part it surely is.
  21. This season top 6 is looking way too much of a challange, I'd settle for top 10 lick our wounds and have stormer of a season next year! it's the Everton way. We've suffered for a number of reasoms this season, all have been listed in other areas of this forum, ie Artetas form, problems scoring, the Pienaar saga, no money ect. We've played at times some bloody good football, way more than the times when we were really poor. We've out played teams only to get a draw or even worse. One worry I have is there are teams below us who are capable of getting some wins, so we better bloody well start getting a few ourselves, or we really will be hoping for three teams worse than us this season. Beat Chelsea in the cup replay and who knows, home to Reading, then another decent draw and we could as least have something to show for a poor season, wouldn't bet against it.
  22. Fuc% me! Cut off again mid sentance this is an omen.....we are all doomed. I think we smashed Chelsea second half yesterday....small ray of sunshine In the last year I've got to know a Coventry City season ticket holder.....that's a real fan, has been for years, just rolls with the blows and loves his team. Finished.
  23. Ooooppps! Cut off in mid-stream on the above post! Maybe just as well. I don't know whats going on with the board, Bill and the finances, head in the sand so what, I'm still a proud Evertonian, who will still get to Goodison when I
  24. Oh dear, what a happy bunch Players leaving in droves (pienaar), doesn't happen to other clubs, players wanting to leave for more money......(Torres) No money to spend.....best player on the pitch yesterday (against Chelsea) or at least on par with the best was Coleman, and he didn't exactly cost much. Why oh why can't we be top of the league! why can't we win every game, it's not fair. I want the sun to shine every day, not bloody rain on me. This is Everton, it seems these days we have money problems, probably had money problems 10 years ago, ten years time we'll still have money problems. I
