  1. The video evidence IS there for all to see......just take a look on 16 seconds! Suarez is in terrible pain......BUT on 16 seconds he manages to twist his neck around to see what's going on around him.People with injuries who are in pain don't take time off from the pain to check around and see if their acting has had the desired affect. 1.There was contact.(minimal) 2.Rodwell shouldn't have been sent off or booked. 3.Suarez did feign injury......if he didn't how was he able to carry on whilst injured?
  2. An answer to the rolling around after a tackle would be to remove the player for a period of 5 minutes. This would ensure the badly injured player recieved proper medical attention. For instance Suarez was obviously injured in the clash .......infact he seemed in agony, surely he should retire to the sideline until he and the medical team are satisfied that the player can continue. If a player rolls over in agony and thrusts his hand up for attention, he MUST be removed from the field of play.....because surely if the pain is that bad then they can't continue. If a player acts as injured as Suarez did, then within a minute they are up and running as if nothing happened.....fucking book them. If Suarez was injured why didn't he go off, why didn't he recieve medical atention, why didn't he limp around for a couple of minutes!! If they roll..........Get them OFF. Jack tried everything to avoid injuring Suarez...........they sent the wrong player off!
  3. Typical Saurez pose I guess.......flying through the air!! If he lands on those teeth........he's going to be stuck in the turf for some time!
  4. Didn't you notice Marco!.......Adams had his name written on the ball in black felt tip pen....it was HIS ball and Cahill had no right to ask him for it
  5. Oh come on!......... the above picture tells all, Jags has just rabbit punched him!!...that's why he went down like he'd been shot. And on the subject of Adam, he wasn't try to help Rodwell in the slightest. He WAS straight in asking for a red, when he got what he wanted, he started puhing Rodwell away, partly to try and look look like a top bloke (ie, come on Jack, don't be silly).....but mainly to get the game going. When cahill was booked for his high foot against Adam.....Adams studs clashed with Tims....same height, only Cahill got booked, why was that?........oh shit, silly me .
  6. Thought Rodwell was unlucky, sure his studs were up as he began his tackle, but he won the ball cleanly and seemed (to me) to make an effort to ground his studs before contact. What contact there was was be no means intentional, or let's be honest painfull to the dirty diver!......but hey, it did change the game, for me it makes it easier to accept. A red said to me at the start of the season, they couldn't really see top 4 this year, they were hoping for two things, one was that Man Utd didn't win the prem and the other was beating Everton.....so it was kinda like a cup final to them . Baines was pushed in the back for the second goal, but it's a mans game so maybe can't complain about that, and I thought Hibbert was a dam sight closer to a red card than Rodwell ever was. Oh well, move on, get Rodwells red overturned, get the new boys fit and on the pitch and the wins will start coming in. Fantastic save by Howard from the penalty.
  7. surely mega spending liverpool can't lose to a team who couldn't manage to buy a single player! They've been bought out.....TWICE!.....they've got a king in charge, and a squad bursting at the seams with internationals and some of the highest paid players in the prem. Even a draw would be a bad result for the big spending reds.
  8. You say when City came in for Lescott we had a choice!......yeh sure, keep an unhappy player who had probably been offered a double your wages offer from the Arabs, or make the money daft Arabs pay top Dollar. It wasn't so much a case of Everton being greedy, they were losing a very important player because he was being offered stupid money. We just made you prove how much money they had to burn. Lifes very precious, time away from work and obligations is very precious, at present I'm happy and willing to dedicate a part of that time to Everton. An Everton who have no money.....but who have players who have worked their way up through the youth system, an Everton who have an old wooden ground full of history and memories, within the ground is a trophy cabinet, that could to be fair be a tad fuller, but most ( if any) of the silverware wasn't bought !!!! If a megar rich Arab does to Everton what they have done for you (City)....then I'm off to do something else with my precious time. This game is being destroyed by money, greedy players, greedy agents etc. I'm sure I don't speak for too many people, and looking at all the drooling city fans watching players who couldn't give a shit about the sky blue shirt, I can only imagine that there will still be plenty of Evertonians happy to follow their club as they try to buy trophies. Every trophy City win between now and when the game falls apart will have been bought, if you can't buy the prem this year, then you will spend tens of millions in the summer and so on! I'm sure you'll have an answer......and little bits of it might even make sence, that's all the sadder.
  9. Let's be honest, when Everton start a game with Cahill and Neville these days it's for a reason, today against City the reason was City's fear of Cahill and Nevilles fighting spirit. We looked much better after the changes and both of the new players are going to be a real asset and the present squad will be really hard to beat. City have spent big and reasonably well, but it did take a deflected goal to finally break us! We weren't that great today but maybe if we'd held out a tad longer and City had started to stretch themselves looking for the points, then Moyes would have made the changes looking for the win......well I'd like to think so. Vellios seem to have good vision and touch, Baines needs to start looking for him more often.
  10. Hello Ado, you say your in love with Everton.......... be warned, It's a love that's going to hurt. But personal experience tells me it's probably worth it. Welcome to the forum.
  11. Physical battle! WBA will see this as a half decent chance to advance. I'd have thought a strong team will be needed to beat them tonight, how badly does Moyes want to win this?
  12. Well I only hope when we play Arsenal that Arteta takes the corners and free kicks! Seriously (although the above was a serious observation of his present form)....I do thank Arteta for the part he played in Evertons improvement over the last 6 or 7 years and for that little bit of extra flare he injected on many occasions. If Artetas form over the next couple of seasons for Arsenal is similar to his last 18 months, then Everton have made a decent transaction. I like Arsenal and at his best he would really have suited their style of play, but he's not at his best, nor it seems are Arsenal. Maybe thay can help each other.....either way good luck and thanks.
  13. Welcome Andrew, may your team take them to 2 replays, kick them hard, and then knock them out.

    Spurs (away)

Last time we started a new season against Spurs was Rooneys debut 2-2 and the one before that was a 1-4 defeat ( but that was the season 1984-85) and we all know what happened that season.....so, I'm going for a Barkley debut and a 2-2 draw.....OR a 4-1 defeat and then going on to win the league. Is Pienaar fit? Seriously, Spurs under pressure for a big start, Barkleys debut to lift the lads , 0-1 Everton (Saha)
  15. Thanks for the info!......it's the Crown Princess, 3114 passengers, so I guess that's pretty big. They shouldn't be to hard to spot, cowboy boots etc.
  16. Any of you local boys know where the cruise ships dock in liverpool. Some American family are cruising around Britain and liverpool is one of the stops, some want to go to Wales whilst others are going to have a look around the city. Have they created a new dock for these massive ships, is it any where near the liver building/ sea cat departure area.
  17. Everton have been the masters of the ' next great striker who 'just didn't quite make it'....Branch, Jeffers, Cadamarteri and Vaughan. Jeffers did at least do Everton a power of good, his goals and link up play with Campell at the end of the 98/99 season kept us in the prem and his massive fee from Arsenal was mind blowing......a big thanks for that!
  18. Make open fronted bird boxes and insert bamboo canes into the box/houes sell them as insect houses, we've got two in the garden, both being used by leaf cutter bees. Watching the bees cut perfect circles out of leaves, fly back to the insect house and do their 'stuff ' with the bit's passes away a few pleasent moments. It's even better when the circes are being cut from leaves beyond your own garden fence. You wont make much money out of making then selling them, but you could give them away as presents. The world needs more bees, and what they can do for a garden.
  19. How has Graeme Sharps name been mentioned in a 'what could have been thread' ? surely Sharpie produced the goods, won the trophies and reached full potential! James Vaughan for me had some bad breaks, I'd love him to do well at Norwich. I've eaten with the whole Everton team....they were busy kicking the ball around at the time and didn't even realise I was tucking into a scouse pie!
  20. Have to say we looked better with Coleman than Cahill. In a game where we are on top and gettng plenty of corners and free kicks Cahill comes into his own, but tonight no way!! Saha, Baines and Coleman could have scored and confidence would have improved.
  21. If we lose Baines, it will be for bloody good money. He, like every other player in our team can be replaced. Relegation !!......that's exactly what the talk was about the pre season before we finished 4th. Slightly better start last season and a tad more luck with injuries and we would have finished 5th or 6th......last game of the season with 10 men we beat Chelsea.....God we're crap.
  22. Hi Justin, a career in tourism probably doesn't beckon
  23. Justin, there is every chance we can hold on to Fellaini, it's all down to him really, if he wants to go then yes get rid, but I don't think that's the case at the moment. He can be the star performer at Everton, someone to build the team around and maybe surprise a few people....or he can become just another greedy bastard fighting for his place at Man city, United or Chelsea. Scott Parker is a good player off the back of an excellent season, he could do a good job for us, can we afford his wages? Welcome to the forum Justin.
  24. Fellaini will only get better, never sell your best players unless they either want to go, or your offered really stupid money.£25 million isn't stupid enough for Fellaini, the only question then is, does he want to leave, if not, then he should stay.Same with Baines and maybe Jagielka. It was a disaster letting Pienarr go, I'm still gutted over that move.
