Yep but the team signing him will have saved 35m + so the additional signing on fee is peanuts in comparison for them but Ross will get a huge signing on fee way more than he would have got for signing a new contract with additional wages. Baby sitting a player who is desperate to be at another club I don't believe will benefit us. Especially to be dumped unceremoniously in January and left in limbo. To get in the Spain squad he'll only need a decent end to the season especially if they're still in the champions league. Having him for a Season as I said before is different as he will need to play for his World Cup place and allow us time to get a decent replacement.

This hasn't surprised me one bit. Recent history, hot day, lots of travel this week, lack of creativity & setup meant only one result today. However, I always live in hope of a miracle

It's got to be a balancing act away to Chelsea with the current injuries and suspension. We lost both matches against them last season so I'd happily take a point from this away game and worry about great performances and attacking flair later in the season after we get these tricky fixtures wedged after European games out the way. It won't be pretty today but unfortunately its the only way we have any chance of taking anything from the game. City revisited I think.

For me it has to a season long loan with the agreement in place that he can join Atletico next summer. That way another a year off his contract so will be cheaper to buy for them. Don't want to be left in the lurch in Jan and held to ransom by any selling club.
