absaloutely, surely you couldn't have those 3 in midfield against Wigan! that looks like a line up you'd put against Man U in the hope of a 0-0 draw! No idea what the team will be to be honest but i'm looking forward to seeing who it will be. 2-0 blues I think.
  2. The sites rolling out the open letters by the bucket load in an attempt to get the yes vote. An interesting letter from an Everton fan who stands to make most from this development. http://www.evertonfc.com/news/archive/sir-...pen-letter.html
  3. louis i'd be more inclined to think that people that are passionately against the move would get themselves voting slips rather than rival fans. i'm coming with a completely unbaised view with regard the move as well. i was very suprised to get a voting slip as I haven't been to a lot of games. as i was an evertonia member between 06 and 07 I got a slip but haven't made my mind up yet. There's a lot to take in for me as I don't have the same feeling as someone living in Liverpool or a season ticket holder who is going there every week.
  4. cheers mate, i'll give em a call tomorrow and see where i get!
  5. Hi All, I live in the Channel Islands and so don't get to many games but am in London next week and want to get tickets for the Spurs game. However tickets are only available to season ticket holders with away ticket stubs and may only go on general sale on Monday 13th which is when I will be in London making it pretty akward. Otherwise i'll need to ask a mate who's a spurs club member who can get me tickets in the spurs end. I was just wondering if anyone that meets the criteria for tickets at the moment would be willing to get me a couple of tickets? Not sure if this is possible, I don't suppose you need to prove your identity or anything at the game do you? the requirement as of tomorrow is 4 away stubs. If anyone could help i'd be very appreciative! if not does anyone know where i'd get the tickets when they go on general sale, i'd get them through the box office number but would I be able to pick them up at white hart lane? cheers for any advice
  6. I take it we lost 1-0? reports from anyone who watched the game?

  8. there's no point cutting prices if we finish top 6! everyone knows the better you do the more people turn up. Prices are more likely to up if we do well than go down!
  9. not a big suprise. the new ground is his interest and he wants to make sure he gets as much say as possible.

these friendly's mean nothing. they had a training session earlier in the day so had already had quite a work out, look around at all teams friendly's and you see some rediculous results against poor teams. i've looked at them a bit betting wise and have leart not to bother as you don't know how much a team is going to try to win how many players there going to toy with or different tactics as well as having training sessions on the same day. you just can't predict what will happen in them. I really think judging the manager on a performance in a trip to America is too shallow and you need to wait till the season starts before making these judgements.
  11. bit concerned that the German posting on here says he hasn't got pace. that's an important aspect to the English game and without that or defence splitting passes he may struggle to adapt. hope he does well though. he's got international and european experience which is always good.
  12. Well I really don't think this is a "100%" thing and it sounds very much like a rumour so it should be in the rumour section!!! I don't see defoe joinning us myself. I considered it when people said he may leave but firstly I don't think we would be after a pacy striker like him, he would be very expensive also. and he has just said he doesn't intend to leave. I've never been impressed with Richardson myself but maybe other's have seen something that I haven't.
  13. Hello all, just managed to get myself booked on a course not far from Reading from the 13th the 16th of August. As we are playing Reading away that weekend i'm thinking of staying the extra couple of days to go to the game. can anyone give me an idea as to how easy it'll be to get tickets for this game? also will anyone on here be going to that game? shame I wasn't training in London where I normally go as I could have gone to the Spurs game as well. Was also tempted with going up to the Wigan game beforehand but it's a long way to travel and don't know if work will agree to pay for the inflated flight costs of flying into one place and out of another! anyway any info would be good and it'd be good to meet up with a few people so let me know if you'll be going!
  14. how far in advance do you need to know. were home to Fulham, i might be up for it if i can afford it at the time. haven't been up to goodision in a few years.
  15. while benfica aren't exactly a selling club and are big in their country their certainly not rich. if you remember when morinhio won the champions league with them they hadn't spent a lot of money to create their squad and won by the way they played which is why he was known as such a good manager. I don't know why he's loaned out or possibly going to be sold though!
  16. have you seen his disciplinery record, he won't do our all ready poor record any good, no uefa through fair play then. so far this season he's got nearly as many cards as goals. 10 yellows and 1 red! Would be interested to know why he's getting so many, if it's through moaning and getting stroppy then definately not impressed.
  17. lol...thought west ham would win. theyre doomed! at half time I bet on spurs to win as West Ham just don't know how to win right now and spurs are always a threat, especially against poor defending like that of west ham.
  18. exactly goldfish, the injury has only existed in the last few years and it's happend a rediculous amount in that time. Ever since Beckham got it then Rooney more and more have started getting it. I think we should calm down, he's an important player but we've already managed without him for a while this season and have other players capable of performing for us. we may have to change our system slightly but as said Osman can do the attacking midfield thing well.
  19. we want the club to have more money, unfortunately part of the getting more money process means ripping money out of the fans at every opportunity. the same as the price of bread goes up, so does everything else and so will ticket prices. I think only one team have put the price down but i'm not sure who it is.

    Spurs

a bit negative lee, we've been playing well recently to be honest. but it's this attitude when were winning or decide to take the draw that frustrates me. it's not the taking the draw that frustrates me but that we sit too deep and rely on stubbs and yobo to clear the lines constantly

    Spurs

jenas scores. every time we play negatively we let goals in. when were 1-0 up we go negative and we either cut it fine or let a goal in and now defending a 1-1 draw and we throw it away. pathetic play. david moyes....the best form of defence is attack....page 1 of tactics!

    Spurs

lol ol' angel! hibbert on for fernandes now. 6-3-1 we've had more possession, more shots, more corners and we've decided it would be good to have 7 out of 11 defensive players. are we that short of players that we only had andersson to go on the bench who moyes clearly wouldn't play. i'm happy with a draw against spurs but i don't like the negativity.

    Spurs

close game at the moment from the beeb stats. not many shots but we've had slightly more. annoying to see anichebe get yet another booking. he needs to be taught some discipline.
  24. seems like a good thing to me, i'd rather he go and play league one competitive football then mess about in the reserves. hopefully he does well then comes back full of confidence and ready to impress in the preseason. if he can perform well for Bournemouth i'm sure Moyes will be keen to see what he can do back with us in the friendlies.
  25. i never like to see any of our youngsters leave but if he's not good enoujgh there's no point keeping him. we couldn't really afford to lose a defender right now after losing weir as well, lets just hope our defenders stay fit. but really lets calm down, no one had seen that much of him unless your going to reserve games every week and he may well not have cut it. maybe he'll come back to haunt us in a few years when he's playing for chelsea but i doubt it somehow. lets hope Boyle comes through and does well.
