i didn't think he looked anything special yesterday. but his corners were very good, i don't remember him taking corners for us but maybe he should have given it a go.

at 22 years old and only remembering as far back as about 1990 the one problem Everton have always had in that time is not having a prolific goal scorer. we've been through plenty of players but none that have ever been proven in the premiership now we've finally got 2 players that can score 15 + goals and a midfield that's as good as we've had in that time as well. We've really no excuses for not scoring goals next season. And with our defence looking like it may take shape hopefully the defence can keep improving too.

oh shut the bollocks up! no one has said how much cash we've had since last year. They've basically kept more quiet about how much money we've got which is a good thing. I don't care where it's come from as long as it hasn't come from the sale of players which i'm very sure it hasn't. do we really have to be told how much money the club has. is it right we have to know? i'd be happy not to know if it means that none of the other clubs in the league know.

we could do with a couple of players just to make the squad a bit bigger. though i really want to see some of the accademy players pushed on into the squad as well at the 2 strikers who have already played. any of the defenders if we didn't get rid of them all and vidarsson as well.

anyone know who Lahm the German plays for? a brilliant attacking Left Back. he's right footed and has already shown he can cut in and score but can also cross brilliantly with his left.

with some ambitious signing I see Yobo may consider taking a contract. Seeing a quality player come into play along side him and another quality striker coming in he may see the club having a better season. Surely Andy Johnson's words of not being able to refuse one of Britain's biggest clubs must make some of those unsure Everton players rethink their future!!!

it's not bad to keep players as long as were looking for new younger centre backs to take their place.

before a striker we NEED at least 1 centre back. unless you want to see weir and stubbs taking us forward for the next year.

lets hope yobo stays and we get some new centre backs. ashame to see so many youngsters being let go as well.

Anichebe's goal was an excellent strikers goal. good strength to hold off the defender, turned him brilliantly and got it in the back of the net. ferguson...glad he scored a final goal but my god was he lucky! penalty saved then casually takes a swing at the rebound which hits the keeper again but luckily goes in!

on sky sports news they had that we are playing bury and there was a date scheduled.

i've put my money on him going to newcastle. he must have something sorted to be jacking it in with charlton.

our lack of goals and summer holiday attitude over the last month has ruled out whatever chances beattie had of making it.
