Paul, this is disgusting. Do I loathe Donald Trump and Mitch McConnell and others? Of course I do. Do I wish someone would "gun them down"? Of course not. This sort of macho behavior is what permeates police forces across this country and contributes to, along with deep-seeded prejudices, the deaths of black and brown people. 
Also, please kindly shut the fuck up in regards to anything happening in Minneapolis. That's my hometown, where I grew up and lived for over 30 years of my life, and you have no concept of the racial injustices that have been happening there for decades. I will gladly go into it with you if you want via PM. 
Do I blame these people for rioting? Absolutely not. You know why? Because when we peacefully protest, that's a problem for you. Colin Kaepernick kneeling to protest injustice? The Right loses its ever-loving mind.
Remember a few weeks ago when white men and women showed up to LEGISLATIVE OFFICES in riot gear with rifles to protest being at home in a global pandemic? Can you even imagine what would happen if black protestors showed up with riot gear and rifles? They would be shot on sight. And you know what they're protesting?? THEIR PEOPLE ARE BEING MURDERERED BY POLICE. ALL THE TIME. White people show up dressed for war to protest because their favorite nail salons and movie theaters are closed.

Imagine thinking Johnson is some sort of modern day Churchill when the man has mostly disappeared during all of this.
Whatever you think of him, or the Conservatives, this was a chance for him to really step up and prove people wrong about him. Instead, he's just reaffirmed the view that he's not suitable for a top job. He was a shit backbencher that has been an absolute disaster in any role he's had, anywhere. 
For me, he's just proven that he's an absolute twat of a man that wants power at all costs, and doesn't give a shit about anyone else but himself and that power. The rest of us are paying for that, and will continue to pay for that, until his marionettes cut his fucking strings.

I've possibly had/still got it. Doctor said viral infection but can't tell them apart. 
Started just feeling groggy for a couple of days much like a hangover, (I'd already had a cough for over a week) . Then fatigue with a constant tension headache. My taste buds didn't go off until about day 7, (they're still off 6 weeks later which is probs the longest I've gone without enjoying a beer!), thought the fatigue had lapsed so done a workout the other day then slept for 15 hours so still not back to normal. 
One thing that annoys me is that work told me to phone 111 when I initially called in sick, who advised me to keep working. After going in for two days I took myself off work as I thought I must be getting man flu at a minimum, only for my taste buds to go and then be told its probably corona. Just hope I never gave it to anyone else.

Not morbid to want to know how he experienced Corona but I get the impression the disease can hit you in many different forms, not all of which are experienced by everyone.  Some people are stuck with it for up to 7 (!!) weeks.  Some experience loss of taste and smell.  Not all get fevers.  etc etc
Like you I wanted to find out all I can from people I know who got COVID19, hoping that it would lessen my stress levels knowing what to expect, but it had the contrary effect.  All you can do is hope you go through it asymptomatically.  (given the number of colleagues who fell seriously ill, I'm kind of hoping I already had it).

If you love Catch-22, I would also recommend 'A confederacy of dunces' by John Kennedy Toole.  It's the only time I ever felt reading anything that came close to the brilliance of Catch-22.

Another show that illustrates what is currently wrong with the US is 'The Loudest Voice' about Roger Ailes, and Fox News.  Just finished watching it yesterday.  Highly recommended.
