sorry if i've read this wrong but what does west ham wanting him have to do with us scouting him? more than one team is allowed to scout a player you know

i'm amazed anyone could really judge this lad on what he's done here..fuckin hell

My dad does this with music, listens to 10 seconds of a track then decides he doesnt like it. When I get him to play it all the way through, he will hold his hands up and say "yeah, ok its quite good. Just took too long to get going"

60 minutes of 1 game is not enough time to judge a player.

Gogglebox. Love it. Even more so that Leon is an Evertonian. Good lad.

GoodisonRoad reacted to Matt in Roberto Martinez
when Moyes left, I was angry and also worried due to fear of the unknown.

if Roberto leaves, I'll be angry at the loss of the most promising manager at our club in my life time and would certainly feel betrayed.

Dont see him leaving for a long time though, he seems to be building a long term project.

GoodisonRoad reacted to Kant in Gerard Deulofeu
With Mirallas out for the season, maybe it's time to let Deulofeu play in the left wing, to see if he can do his dribbles with a real outcome, like Robben.

He's been poor recently, but the left wing might actually suit him better, considering that all he's doing lately is dribble to the right, then blast it without any angle or cross aimlessly.

Baines will always be reliable in the left side to provide width and to cross accurately, therefore a player like Deulofeu cutting in can open spaces for Baines.

Its a bit unfair. Inherited one of the worst United squads in years, with some average players and huge egos, who just didnt want to play for him because it's 'change' and kids dont like change.

That being said. He was a complete tool with the way he conducted himself after Everton and like you guys have mentioned, he asked for it.

I would love to share that opinion but I can't, the reality is that he has proven to be an excellent manager for Liverpool. It would be churlish to say otherwise. He has taken players like Henderson and Sterling and improved them. Kept suarez and sturridge happy, found a good role for Gerrard to influence the games.

    He has done very well.

Be honest here, who now laughs at the squad we had going into that champions league qualifier against Villareal? I remember a certain Pistone at left back, hibbert at right back. Simon Davies, Kilbane, Beattie and so on. We were no were near ready with the squad we had and the football we played. At least if we make it this time, we have quality in the squad and a manager who can match europe's elite tactically. My point is I would be less worried this time in the qualifying stages than I was in 05/06 season. But as you said, finishing third is one less game.

I don't see Martinez "resting" Lukaku no matter the Arsenal result. They win then a win for us is a must. They lose then a win is a must for us.

It's the second one Marco, it's the Chargers concept stadium isn't it?

I love the exterior, the interior layout should be different but definitely think the exterior looks exciting, fresh and MASSIVELY intimidating.

Just imagine that sprawling out of Walton Hall Park!!

Edit: Quickly throw this into Paint.

The club need to make a statement about this. It's a disgrace that these idiots will do such things when the club are fighting the stigma of "Hooligans causing Hillsborough" - on the day that 96 are remembered 25 years on, they go and do this... Liverpool don't need this, they need to state that anyone caught in connection will receive a lifetime ban.

Every club has idiots who follow them, at the wrong time a minority of Liverpool fans ruin it for the majority.

A strong argument to be made that we've got the best full back pairing in world football right now, which is pretty awesome

GoodisonRoad reacted to Romey 1878 in Loans - what drivel
You'd think we'd held Chelsea, City and Barca up at gunpoint so that we could steal these players from them. We paid for the privilege of having them here for a limited time period, and those clubs were only too willing to let them come.

If we'd signed three loan players who's values would only have been £6m but they'd had the same impact and we were challenging Arsenal for fourth then I assume Samuel would have no problem with it? Bullshit. He can cover it up with the FFP shit and them having a value of £50m all he likes but the only reason anyone has a problem with what's happened is that they've worked out extremely well for us. If Barry, Lukaku and Deulofeu had flopped and we were plodding a long mid-table, not upsetting the apple cart then there would be no outrage, no articles about how fucking unfair it is. In fact, there would probably be articles about how good we are giving these players a chance when they'd more than likely have been sat doing fuck all for the season.

Fuck Samuel. Fuck Wenger. Fuck them all.

Makes no sense at all to do it now.

They've got a huge game against Fulham next week which is winnable but then they've got to play the top 4 in their last 4 games which they're not going to get anything from anyway, never mind with a new manager.

"Everton have been regarded, even by many of their own fans, as a team that just comes up short at the real pressure pinch points. Here they reacted to the expectation of a game they had to win with style, power and no shortage of the arrogance Martinez likes to see in his teams."

i also really like when he got the captain's band when osman came off how he took the charge. when arteta elbowed barkley, he went straight at him and let him have it which then led to arteta getting a yellow. that's how you stick up for your team as a captain!
