  1. I couldn't agree with this more and something I have come to appreciate as I have aged. Its all about an individuals perception and that can vary from person to person but also within a person too.
  2. In that case... I will absolutely not fuck Margot Robbie
  3. "Bit" might be a slight underestimation!
  4. Good luck to him. Still a long road ahead but this is a big step.
  5. If he had his head screwed on, he would have seen that Lampard going was a good thing!
  6. I think him choosing over Spurs wouldnt really be an issue, it was just the way he did it. He knew full well his playing time would have been limited (at best) with Spurs but decided to go there anyway despite all but signing on the dotted line. On one hand I dont blame him, but on the other, I wouldnt be looking to sign him unless it was financially beneficial for us.
  7. I see him being worth at least double that price if he continues to develop the way he did last season.
  8. He fitted in when the team were on the up and everyone else could do the heavy lifting. When reality set in it fell apart and he became a liability with the odd moment of magic. He was well on his way out under Carlo when we were playing with our backs to the wall week-in week-out.
  9. I don't see RB being his position. From what I saw of England he could play in that role because he played the position in a similar way that Arsenal/City/TAA now play the position, i.e lots of possession and moving into midfield. I don't see those type of tactics being able to be copied under Dyche for all that he did well up against Bournemouth as a wingback.
  10. I just dont see how Barkley would fit into the Dyche "collective" ethos. He is an enigma. A player that you dont want to overburden with instruction other than to go out there and play. He will pop up and completely run some games and others you wont see him for 89 minutes and the other 1 minute he will be giving the ball away. I just dont see how him and this team fits, in exactly the same way as I don't see how Alli fits. Also in the same way James ultimately didn't fit.
  11. Has it been a long day? You are better than that!
  12. Just looking more at his wages, according to Sportrac he was on £50k in 21/22 for Villa (doesnt show last season). That is less than Myko (£58k) and Seamus (£55k) were last season. That is a lot more reasonable than expected. I generally dont like the idea of a signing like this but if it allows us to get another year through the FFP regs, focus on the areas we are desperate for this season and then get a proper full back in the following season then it is just about stomachable... maybe. Plus it would be nice to have a full back that can cross.
  13. Im not exactly an Ashley Young fan but that is harsh on him. He played 26 games for Inter Milan when they won the Seria A at the age of 35/36. He played 19 times for United in their PL winning season. He played 25 times the season before when they finished 2nd. He played 30 games when they finished 2nd under Mourinho. He was also an important player for Villa in his first spell and then again for Emery last season. Both teams had the resources and the players to play someone else over him and they decided to use him still for big chunks of the season. You may be right, maybe they could have still had that success without him, but put that into the context of our squad and sadly that still makes him a viable option at the age of 38.
  14. Erghhhh Root gone now. How many times can we rely on Stokes. He will go cheaply soon and if that is today, I dont see us winning!
  15. I can understand Simms because he has been around the block, played in different leagues, had his chance and still looked very raw. Cannon has come straight out of the U23 squad, contributed 9 goals / assists in 20 games in the Championship, scoring 5 from 5 in the EFL trophy with 2 assists and generally looks a better and more rounded player than Simms. If he gets sold to a Championship club, then it would raise huge alarm bells.
  16. Not that great... but still the player who has played at the highest level and won the most trophies of anyone else in our squad (not checked).
  17. The positives are that he has won things and been part of successful clubs. Even when Emery joined, he played the majority of games (RB). He is also versatile, covering up to 4 positions. He would also be our best attacking fullback in respect of the quality he can provide in the final third. The negatives are that he is clearly past his best, however he doesnt seem to be picking up lots of injuries. He did only finish 4 games since February. If we started Coleman and him as full backs there is a good chance both would have to come off before the end of the game. This also raises the question as to how much actual cover he can provide. I assume he is there as a left back, so what happens if Mykolenko is injured? Do we play 75 mins of Young and then when we are chasing the game, bring in Godfrey? Do we have to change system and take McNeil out of his most dangerous position? As I have mentioned before, I am also concerned he will want far too much in wages too.
  18. Give it time lads! Signings for the sake of signings isn't going to help us.
