  1. I like him and Gnonto (I know he isnt American before someone says it). They should have scored more goals with those two. Aaronson surprised me with how good his feet were. Really good dribbler and in tight spaces.
  2. Bless you lot. I would have thought being Everton fans would have taught you to not get your hopes up!
  3. Palace went on a run of a handful of games without a shot on target. I disagree about him, I think a lot of players would be an upgrade because what he promises and what he delivers are completely different things. He isn't firepower! 2 open play goals and 0 open play assists is not firepower. I think it would be a failure of the board to keep a player like this at the club if a good offer comes on the table. I said it last summer too when his value was higher. Part of our failure as a club has been to not make the most of these opportunities, in the same way Brighton did with us for Maupay or Arsenal with Iwobi. We did it this January with Gordon and that is how we need to operate.
  4. I hope we would sell Maupay for more than £5mil given that we bought him for £15mil with only 1 year left on his contract!
  5. Seems he lost his place to Lacazette this season. Whilst I am a fan of Lacazette he didn't exactly light up the league for Arsenal and I wouldn't rate the French and Scottish leagues as a guide to a good goalscorer. I haven't seen anything of him though so it might just be that he fits our style.
  6. This implies Palace were a better attacking side for Eze which they werent. I accept the point about McNeil but there is a reason he starts and Gray doesnt. Gray has shown this pattern his whole career. I don't need any stats to tell you the issues with Gray, I was telling you all before he signed.
  7. I am sure Dyche will do that but that chance starts on the training ground. As fans we only get the chance to see them for 90 minutes (or less) on a game day. Many a time I have fallen into the trap of think x,y,z cant be that bad but invariably they are and there is a reason they aren't in the side to start with.
  8. When I saw this I thought it was a dodgy Lyon joke that I didnt get!
  9. I think Adams has looked a fairly solid player as well, at least when I have seen him. He was good at the World Cup albeit, always a bit skeptical of international performances. Personally, I think Gana had a poor season. He definitely had good moments but his overall performances have been erratic. I don't expect that from someone of his experience.
  10. I could honestly see a player like him going to another club outside of those top 4 or 5 and being the mainstay of their midfield for years. He is captain material too.
  11. I agree. As bad as people seem to think about certain players at the club, there is still a big gap to these young players coming through.
  12. Similar? They have both achieved in one season what Gray has achieved in two. Not to mention the much greater impact and balance on the team.
  13. I was commenting on the article that mentioned Bell in particular moving onto the board. It just seemed a bit like some of our transfer rumours where someone with a relationship to the club, gets a bit of clickbait to get people talking.
  14. For me, nothing changes until Mohsiri and Kenwright follow them out the door.
  15. Thought he did the right things with the header. Down, with power and on target. More often than not he scores.
  16. Ill just remind you that at one stage Mohsiri was one of those clowns not running the club. As was Ingles, DBB and Sharp. Be careful there are a lot of clowns knocking around.
  17. Why wouldnt they bring in people with their own knowledge and expertise? Given a lot of the frustrations aimed at some members of the board and their experience, bringing in someone with no expertise in football seems contradictory. As an example, you have mentioned the importance of using specialist construction experts in the building of the stadium and how that has lacked in other areas of the club/board. What makes these two any better any running football clubs that the clowns we have at the moment?
  18. I have just read a couple of PSV forums and the impression I get is that he isn't going to be Premier League level at the moment. He still has a lot to learn and whilst that development may come, there are mixed reviews about spending £7mil on him. He certainly isnt considered their best defender or anything like that.
  19. McNeill cost the same and contibuted 7 goals in one season. Eze signed for £18m and scored 10 goals in his first season for Palace. Plenty of players out there. Generally though Id argue that most wide players in the league can contribute just as much as Gray does. Id also argue that they would be much more team players too and could add more balance to the team generally. Get Cole Palmer on loan from City. He would do just as well as Gray.
  20. Unless I missed it, why would the new investors put Bell or Downing into positions on the board? Once the charge is repaid, they will have no interest in the club and there doesnt appear to be a link with the new investors?
  21. And at least a couple are penalties. Make the money on him, move on and re-invest.
  22. Seems like he was mainly a bench player for them but he still managed a decent number of goals and assists in that time. I don't ever see a Barkley type player, who needs free reign to be at his best, making it into a Dyche side. We already have one of them in Alli.
  23. McTominay is really solid in a lot of areas without being a standout and he would come in and be our best midfielder. If he was at a smaller club coming through there would be a very different perception of him.
