I don't think Lukaku is irreplaceable. We might not score the same type of goals but we will get them a different way. The problem we face is getting a replacement in straight away who can replace his goals and assists from day one. Look across the park, how many players did it take to replace Torres? And then again with Suarez, or even close to him? I have no doubt there are players that can come in and do as well as or better than Lukaku but how many seasons will go until it happens?

I've always though he was a sloppy passer, especially the simple ones. They get to their destination but they aren't to feet, they are bobbling or generally need more controlling than they should.

I just read back the transcript and your right. I misread it originally. He plays it down though and his comments after suggest it's not all a lost cause. Anything can happen, they say they will stay and then they go and likewise they say they will leave and then they sign a new deal. I dont believe he signs a new contract until I see it and likewise I don't believe he leaves until the deal is announced. I don't care what happens in between!

Joel has played enough first team football in the premier league now to know how good he is or could be. People are comparing De Gea 's first 12-18 months in the country to Joel now and it's completely different. I get that Joel hasn't played loads of games but he has enough 1st team experience and he has now had enough of a run in the team to consider how consistent he will be. He has some elements that are really impressive such as his reach and general shot stopping but he still makes novicey mistakes too regularly. Nothing massive, I don't take the same view as Pad for example with his mistakes, but there are little things that make me nervous about him. He is a solid mid table premier league level keeper and he will be a great buy for a relegation level team because he will make plenty of saves but I don't think he is any better than that.

True. He hasn't brought anyone through of true quality for ages. Sanchez and Ozil were proven and they are the only two players that are close to world class. When you think about the size and strength of the title winning teams compared to his most recent teams they are vastly different.

What do you do if your Arsenal now. So many players not giving enough. Plenty of players who are happy to play fancy but don't want to get stuck in when they are needed. Before he was signed Gary Neville said that Mustafi needed a leader alongside him and he couldn't have been more right. At times he was pathetic. They have a lot of players with ability but they need a clear out a bit like us in the last 12 months. Wenger has to take a lot of the criticism because he has allowed that attitude to fester and brought in players that have added to it. Bar Sanchez he has a habit of buying players that only show up when they are winning.

Pogba gets in ahead of him in the France team and I know who I'd rather have (it isn't Pogba!). He is always going to go under the radar because of the job he does but he is a class player who should be playing in a team with a title chance. He would have been perfect for Arsenal.
