Nah, he might have said we sometimes but it wasn't exclusive thing at all. Plenty of times throughout his time with us he spoke about us the same way Koeman does.
Moyes still doing it after all that time bothered me but I'm not arsed about Koeman doing it when he's been here a few months. He won't be here still doing it in 10 years anyway, and to be honest, I don't need or even particularly want him to love Everton, I want him to make us win. He does that and I couldn't give a shit if he says Everton rather than we in every interview he gives.
To be fair, Moyes talks about himself in the 3rd person so he had no chance when he was talking about us!
-
The agent has come out and said he was never for sale in the first place and that he only knew of interest from Everton and no more.
I wish Mohsiri would stop talking to Jim White as he keeps making himself look like an idiot.

It really is a diabolical England squad... Cresswell, Keane, Antonio...
Keane only gets picked because he is playing well in a defensive team that holds its shape with plenty of bodies around him. As soon as he has to play in an attacking team he will get found out.
If I was manager I doubt I could find 20 players let alone the 25 Southgate has picked!

But there's no need for them to say it; no excuse.
It's not like he was led into it either. There were parts of that answer he didn't have to say. Realistically we all know that Lukaku is likely to move on, albeit, he isn't that good otherwise one of these bigger clubs would have bought him by now.
He could have even said something like "if we can't fulfil his ambitions then he deserve to move to a club that can".

Don't forget Robles was playing for a dodgy Defence at the lowest point in the club under Martinez. It shouldn't matter but it does.
They are both number 2's in truth but Stek isn't going to improve whereas Robles might. That's enough for me to give him the spot.

He had chances last season but fucked up time and time again.
He has fire in him and can be almost unplayable but I don't think he is anything special. Bolasie and Geri are better for all that they are inconsistent too.
If I was in charge Geri would be starting as he can be unplayable. He flits between unplayable and conference level but he needs more and more games to get that consistency. If he is having a shocker, then hook him for Mirallas.

Confirmed he has paid off the debts , got to hand it to him for a fraud he is very convincing!
Don't believe it until you see the accounts

We defended best with Williams, Jags, Coleman and Baines so they would be my back 4 fitness permitting. I would probably drop Stek but I doubt it will happen.
-
In fairness Galloway isn't getting games for West Brom and their Left Back looked very average the other night.
Plus the U21s seem to be coming undone slightly. We have a couple of gems in there but there aren't at premier league level yet.
It's still early days with Koeman buts disappointing that we appear to have gone backwards rather than forwards in those dozen games.
-
Not impressed with that Ron, your job (or your aspiration at least) should be to take Moshiri's money and make us the best team on the planet, not to suggest some players are too good for us. Be saying, "We're in a gun fight armed with a knife" next .
Spot on.

I think he can emulate Patrick Kluivert, who also rose to prominence at a young age and enjoyed a fantastic career, Koeman told Dutch newspaper HLN.
He eventually played for Barcelona and I can see Lukaku doing the same. Everton should normally not be the end for him.
Romelu will not have made the most of his career if he plays for Everton for the remainder of his career.
He has the potential to play for a bigger club than Everton, but nobody knows what will happen after this season.
Is he for real???
I just saw that... I get where he is coming from, but you can't say that. What message does that send to the rest of the squad?
-
Also I live down south and have a lot of friends who are Soton supporters, plenty of them are very positive when it comes to Koeman, however they have almost all said that once Stek makes one mistake it is downhill from there!
-
I must admit I am now worried. We have played 2 decent sides and been battered by both albeit only losing to one. Koeman didn't do that with Soton so I can only imagine it is because he doesn't have the players but if you look at almost all of our games this season we have started slowly, we could have easily been 2 or 3 down at West Ham in the first 30 mins as well, so something isn't working regardless of whether it's 3, 4 or 5 at the back.
Chelsea played well but they aren't as good as we showed them to be. They weren't allowed to be that good against Soton the previous week for example. We didn't test David Luiz once (who is still as shit as he was before, albeit less exposed), we didn't close down anywhere near enough and the most worrying thing is that Liverpool play with the same intensity and IMO we are set for yet another dicking from them, especially at Anfield.
When you consider that Koeman was after Sissoko and Kone this summer who have been shocking so far for their respective clubs, I'm not having the argument that it would be better with 'his' players either. There is plenty of talent in this squad and he needs to use it.

They should have scored another! Jags to his credit gets back to give him a nudge.
This is like the City game but the difference is that they scored early. We have set up to not lose like we did under Moyes.
-
Fucking hell that's terrible again... why is Lukaku marking Costa?
-
Another let off! They hit the post with a lovely move.
-
If Mori moves to LB he is going to get his arse handed to him... Should only be one of the CB's coming off for Mirallas
-
Chelsea are pressing so much better than we are.
-
disagree, we've been solid without being spectacular bar those to moments
We had barely touched the ball!
-
At least that was a bit better...
-
Terrible goals to concede... Poorly gave the ball away, Seamus let Hazard cut inside and Stek misses an easy save.
Second goal is just as bad with Stek and Seamus leaving his man... I fear thats game over already.
-
Basically it's as I said.... he can't train properly. Play, ice, rest. Not good.
If he cant deal with the intensity of the sessions then why is he doing them?
I would still have him ahead of Valencia.
-
I like Bellew, dont always agree with him, but he is an underrated boxer with heavy hands who knows how to build up a fight.
A fight with Haye would be great but he would get destroyed the first time Haye landed.
-
Id have him back in an instant, money dependent.
He has been pushed from position to position for years and the stick he gets is ridiculous, for all that I have joined in on occasions. Stick him up top, and get the ball into him inside the box and he will score 20 a season easily. Dont move him wide, dont move him deep, dont expect him to play as a false nine, just let him play on the shoulder of the last man, helping build up the play when required, before making a b-line to the box.
Id also like to see him get fired up again and get aggressive.
