  1. About 70% of this site have been saying pretty much how Martinez has ruined us.

    But Haf says it....wow.

People are really taking your Lukaku critism personally it seems.

Well that's how it looks haha.

I respond to the individual points regardless of whoever posted it.

Never anything against Haf, without it going to his head, I do think he is one of the better posters on here it's just that this time he is wrong ;)

  2. Who you callin a tool?

I can accept footballers improve. I can accept footballers decline. Does the manager get a cut of this? No of course not.

Spending £13m on a player who cant play football is a complete and utter piss take.

Playing a footballer who is injured on 3 occassions destroying his hamstrings... supposedly being a qualified physio is a piss take.

I supported martinez where applicable so dont tell me that i only see one side.

I am saying you can be a tool.

Your saying that Martinez was expensive partly because of his signings completely ignoring that fact that he is going to earn us an absolute killing on many other players. You can add Ross to that list as well.

Martinez's failures on the pitch were clear to see and in the end he wasnt good enough.

Dont spout shite like you did about a couple of dodgy buys when he has clearly and without doubt earnt us more than he has lost.

  3. His last signing Niasse - £13m, his comp £10m, probably ruining James McCarthy £15m

turned out to be quite expensive didn't he.

Sometimes you are a tool Haf when you see only one side of the argument...

Maybe he should get a cut of the Stones deal for making him the £50mil player he is or maybe a cut from the Lukaku deal when he eventually leaves too? Fuck it, might as well give him the whole Naismith fee as almost everyone wanted him gone before Martinez turned him into a gem.

Likewise maybe Walsh should have to pay Leicester for losing money on Kramaric?

If I was Martinez I would have been doing the exact same thing and so would everyone else on here.

  4. So basically your issue is that you dont trust moshiri and think that we werent in for these players?

Im sure we could have got them all if we threw enough money at them...is that the right way? Essentially getting deals over the line is making sure all parties are satisfied financially.

Given Koeman's contradictory comments today regarding Sissoko (compared to McCarthy is family Mohsiri) I don't trust anything that comes from them to be honest.

I'm confident that Koeman wont talk shit but as for the board members / agents etc... not the slightest

  5. Oh my word. What a thread this is turning into.

Get a fucking grip. The window was wierd as shit. All of a sudden because we have moshiri and walsh we should have 5 layers of players all lined up in case the previous 4 layers fail.

It doesnt work that way. I would have loved us to sign belting players. It didnt happen. We made steady signings.

Btw Eric. Apart from your intro post ive yet to see a credible post.... prpbably best mixing your shit up.

Yes it does, all clubs will be doing the same thing.

I am just arguing the point that those in charge of our negotiations had a bad window. Is that really in dispute?

  6. Whether or not they should take some stick has to also depend upon the particular cases they dealt with. We don't have knowledge of the innerworkings of the deals they made and didn't make. But, we know where players went or stayed, and some clubs have made comments that can key us into why certain deals didn't happen. Let's take Lucas and Gabbiadini (our striking options) for example. Lucas went to Arsenal because they jumped in at the last minute, and, for all their issues, they're Arsenal and Everton is Everton. Not to disparage our club, but they objectively have more to offer a player right now. The Gabbiadini transfer was seemingly dependent upon Napoli finding a replacement, and the manager also stated publicly that he doesn't want the player to go. If they had found a replacement, maybe we would've seen him come to Everton. But they didn't find a replacement. It isn't our fault that they weren't willing to risk making a buck while leaving a giant hole in their squad that could've gone unfilled. Even if the player wanted to come, it wasn't our call.

I get that these were complicated deals but if you knew that one of your targets wasn't coming and the other had a large element of doubt, would you have not lined something else up as well?
