Movement isnt the greatest at the moment and we are giving the ball away far too easily. Barkley needs to start a little deeper because he is so much easier to mark when he is ahead of the ball. Utd with a good chance there.

I dont think it is tbh... Deul played great in the last game but so did Mirallas before that. The Stoke game was a case of resting the both Ross and Mirallas and I think it was fairly obvious they would come in for this.

Giggs, Kagawa and Rooney are the obvious dangers but in all honesty I would prefer our starting 11.

Am I just being cynical in thinking that the timing of his comments are more than just co-incidental? Splash which is quite possibly the worst of all the reality shows going gets a new series and just before it starts he comes out and says he likes a bit of both.

I used to think he was a good manager but Fulham have been dreadful at times this season and even though they somehow managed to beat us in the cup, he probably should have gone long before now.

Spot on Cornish. These next 3 games in someways (Soton are proving a tough nut to crack as well!) will indicate how well we are going to do, or at least how well we can do. If we get 6+ points we will be well in the mix but less than that will probably see us remain on the fringes.

I thought Coleman was probably the weakest link again yesterday. He got forward excellently all game and I have no issues with that aspect but I thought he was caught out positionally quite a few times, especially when it was 0-0. Assaidi looked to have the beating of him in the first spell but he got better as the game went on and looked most comfortable when Stones came on and he moved to RWB.

The main disappointment from him yesterday IMO was his crossing. We know he is an excellent crosser of the ball but on a couple of occasions he worked himself into some excellent positions but the cross he put into the box tended to be too near to the keeper. Having said that it cant be easy running at the speed he is going and then trying to whip a good ball in!

Thought he had an excellent game myself. His link up play and movement were really good. He might have fucked up occasionally and not won every duel but he puts in a great shift every game and does a lot of underrated work. He could have bagged a hat-trick too today.

Excellent performance from pretty much everyone but Deulofeu and McCarthy were the two stand out players for me and I went with the Barca lad on his first league start.

It would probably be an excellent move for Vellios actually, I had completely forgotten about him!

Good move, I quite like the idea of keeping a couple of the lads together so that they learn to play with each other in a competitive environment. The Yeovil fans seem to rate Duffy and I think he is doing well down there. They are shipping some goals but it sounds like he is helping them to not ship more if you understand what I mean. I think their main problem is at the other end as they cant finish off their attacking moves and in turn take some of the pressure off the defence. Maybe we should send them Jelavic as well

Yeh I do because he will want a primarily defensive player. You dont play with wingbacks and use attacking midfieldera because the whole concept grinds to a holt if they cant defend or at least arent aware of their defensive responsibilities. When we dont have the ball its 5-3-1-1 so you need competetent defenders. Barry showed he could do it and I would be surprised if Pienaar could do it with a gun to his head but its actually Oviedos best position IMO and despite him not making the bench I cant see him not starting in that position if we do set up that way.

If he is going to use that formation then its much more likely to be Oviedo that plays in that left wing back position and it certainly wont be Deulofeu. Switch them two though and I think its an excellent and well balanced team.
