  1. Where are you getting 23 from? I'm looking at the league last season and total games played.
  2. He scores -- just not enough to warrant a comparison with Rom. Rom had 17 in 35 at WBA. Pelle's best ratio is 11 in 30 for Southhampton.
  3. Your as pompous in your "facts" as Lukaku is about his own ability. My point is that Lukaku was rotated more when at WBA, and the argument could be made that it's easier for someone to score against a tired defense, but I'm sure this point will be lost on you: Pelle works his socks off whereas Rom doesn't, and Rom still has a better goal per game ratio. Makes you wonder what he could do if he wasn't lazy. As much I'm sure you don't like reading it, they are not comparable.
  4. The difference being Rom has actually scored 17 goals in a season in the PL. What was Rom's goal per minute ratio when he was at West Brom? I think it's time for Rom to go to, but I don't think the two are comparable at all. This would be a very underwhelming signing.
  5. Just saw this a few minutes ago. What the actual fuck?
  6. one more... JohnH -- reminds me of a man I used to know name Dr. S. I worked with him when I was doing mainenance for a convention center while in college. Dr. S was 86 years old, and was the first to get outside and work with his hands. He worked harder, longer, and faster than everyone else, and we were all amazed at his ability to pick up on new things. We all wondered what he was doing to be so lively at his age. So when I see a post from johnh, I see Dr. S.
  7. MikeO -- I've seen a picture of Mike in his profile picture before so easy to name appearance -- likes the occasional pint and can see him overhearing someone being politically incorrect at a pub and having word with the fella. Matt -- Pays attention to detail and goal-oriented. As others have said, very business (but casual at the same time). All-around good guy. Mark JB -- I vaguely remember what MJB looks like because of a video he posted when his band was releasing an album I think. Opinionative but not stubborn. Rubecula -- I associate Rubes with the "Bad Luck Brian" meme (if anyone knows what I'm talking about). Hafnia -- Like MJB in that he's opinionative, but unlike him in that he's very stubborn. He has his ideas and he sticks to them. Not one to back down from them or go with the crowd. MC -- If he sees something he disagrees with then he immediately becomes a troll. He's that friend who can be kind of an asshole, but every group of friends has one. Quick-witted, and I've probably lauged at MC's comments more than anyone elses. He surprises you sometimes because he actually has a good view on a lot of things but rarely lets you know it. Tenaciou... I mean Lowensda -- Level-headed and calculated. Tried to change his nickname once but everyone still calls him by the old one. Romey -- Pops up occasionally to restore order. Seems like the kind of guy you could go without talking to for awhile but then it's like you never stopped talking to them when meet again. Paddock -- Passionate and does everything for his family. He's the guy you want in your crew if your about to get in a fight with a group o f fellas. Basically, he sticks up for his mates. Cornish Steve -- I always confuse him for an American. Smart and does his research on everything. I don't think I've stuck around a forum for this long before (5 years now). Like MC said, it's a close knit bunch.
  8. I had a black lab named Luna who wouldn't harm a flea -- she passed last July due to cancer -- the decision to put her down was the hardest moment in my life, as pathetic as that sounds. I picked her up from a local humane society and the fact I miss her so much has kept me from getting another one, but I'm sure I will again someday. She taught me the true meaning of unconditional love and still think about her every day. Not trying to be a downer -- I'm definitely grateful to the universe for having met her. Now everyone go hug your pets tonight.
  9. Switch Nagbe and Pulisic and I'd probably agree. I don't mind Dempsey in there for the experience, but he is pretty much past it
  10. Same. All of these would be excellent.
  11. At least we managed to keep it at 2-0 I guess.
  12. It's called the beauitful game for a reason. I don't want to watch dross. Watching Ronaldinho, Ronaldo, Zidane, etc. is what got me into the game in the first place. I'll take creative, fluid football over the ugly stuff. Obviously, the perfect team has a balance of both. Besides, coming second in the league doesn't mean you can't go on to win Champion's League the next season.
  13. It doesn't sound dumb at all Keith. Glad you've made it to the fold.
  14. Pulisic is going to be a star. No doubt in my mind about it.
  15. This all day... though I will say that I think there is too much an effort now to be overly politically correct.
  16. He wants out. Get him sold. I think he'll become a top player but just not at Everton. He can't expect to talk like that and still keep the fans' support. Very disappointing.
  17. You may have been joking, but it is indeed terrible. To each his own (I guess).
  18. Haha. Was not expecting to read that.
  19. Exactly. My dad always said "anything worth doing is worth doing right."
  20. Isn't that funny how that works out? I run into the same a lot as well.
  21. It has to be hard to be motivated when your job is given away a couple of months before the end of the season. The players seem to really like him too.
  22. I actually think my first choice is Favre, and it's a three way tie between Pellegrini, De Boer, and Emery.
