again with the sex references..you're not gettin enough mate

but if you like..if she wasn't able to put out then i wouldn't just jump on the first girl that came along..you never know what you might get..it has taken time and there have been mistakes but also we've dodged a bullet when you look at the likes of portsmouth and blackburn..grass isn't always greener and all that

For once?? mate even when we were battling against relegation we still had a strong 30,000 coming to Goodison for each and eevry game. We are always behind the CLUB, doesn't mean we have to be behind the BOARD. " completely differnt things mate

do you want to end up like portsmouth? come along and take the first man who promises to carry you over a threshold of gold? then leaves you shaking in a pit with fuck all? or do you take stability and wait for the right man to come along? you seem to be of a group of people who want money now and to sell to any one who winks at us..fuck what happens 4-5 years down the line..i want a brand new diamond ring now!!!!

The manager has gone - Long live the manager

I understand your pain, but in time it will pass. He has been given possibly the best job in football, and I'm delighted for the guy. Had he gone to Sunderland, I would have been 'sad', but for me, it's like seeing somebody you care about go on to great things, so all the best to him, and I'm a little proud that it was 'our' manager that was considered the best by a club who could have hired God himself to manage them. I was initially disheartened, but now I'm coming to terms with it, and determined to embrace what ever happens with as much positivity as possible.

For once, all fans should get behind the club, wish Moyes well, and support the next manager with as much enthusiasm as we did Moyes.

this arguement about breaking club transfer records is rediculous guys. Inflation for 1 thing, everything goes up in price all the time. Newsagents dont celebrate because they sold a bottle of wine today for more than they sold it for yesterday because thats life. Records will be broken all the time, if things are going well. We broke the record 3 times on players that turned out not to be worthy of that crown. Its a joke.

Don't get the whole transfer kitty argument, Wenger has turned a profit, winning titles and financing a new stadium. Moyes has delivered with the wage budget he's been granted, a competent achievement getting us to 7th every year. As long as we avoid the idiots like O'Neil, Redknapp, Hughes ect. the club will be fine. If we get someone with a bit more tactical nous and winner's mentality we may even progress no the next level, something that was never going to happen under Moyes,

What are you wittering on about fact and deal with it??? Seems you like to fall for Elstone spin? Do you read the Daily Express?.

No I don't like the transfer record argument because i'm a statistician (from an excel modelling and M.I reporting perpective) anything to do with costs/revenue over time needs to be normalised to account for inflation and other external factors. If I went into a management meeting without normalising the data I would get laughed at.

You can try and get stats to work for you if you want, but don't expect me to take the headline/spin.

A £5 birthday present off someone who earns £100 a week is far more generous that a £100 gift off a multi millionaire. Relative to income our transfer spend is at an all time low - now is that spin or is it a fact???

You know what would make me happiest?

A manager to come in and build our young players into the team. We have some young players coming through that have really good technical skills and just need rounding off. Lets spend a year honing these up in the first team and then build on them the next season. A manager who can come in and build belief like DM did.

I would say it's unfair to compare what has happened here to what has happened at Man U over the past twenty years.

Even the most ardent EFC fans will tell you that even when Fergie took over at Man U and they nearly got relegated that same season ( if i remember right they went something like 20 games without a win ), they were still classed as one of the biggest clubs in europe. Yes we had our spells but we could not compare with the likes of Man U, Barca and RM as far as global apeal and brand name went. They were always going to have the financial muscle over teams like us.

We were the honest mans team.

I really dont blame BK and i think others should put thier anger into perspective! we are angry that we have lost a manager that has brought us out of mediocrity and gave us a solid foundation and the chance to build and go forward.

That manager was hired and supported by BK.

I agree that maybe BK has shown a bit of naivety in letting this go down to the wire, but it could also have been a last gasp effort to sow support to a manager that in his heart he knew would be leaving.

To show trust and stand by your own morals and beliefs through adversity shows courage and strength. Maybe not what is needed of a modern day chairman but what i hope Everton believe in till the end of time.

Dont get my hopes up now. My first choice would be Laudrup. Martinez close second though. Just want to avoid Hughes, MON and the likes of Redknapp.

I read a headline today from Hughes today saying Everton are a big club... I seem to remember him saying otherwise when he was chasing Lescott. He's saying it to try and put himself in the frame to be our manager.

If either O'Neill or Hughes become our next manager it'll show even more so that this club is not in good hands with our board..

I feel happy for Moyes! He has been brilliant for Everton. I salute him.

I am scared for whats to come but thats only because Everton has been so predictable over the past few years. Stable to which isnt a bad thing.

I feel excited about the possibilities and the change. Who will manage us. My first choice Laudrup wont come. My second choice Martinez looks like the favourite for the job.

I feel scared for the looting DM might perform.
Im excited about the possibility that Everton might be able to loot the likes of Wigan and QPR for the cash we get for Felli etc.

Mixed feelings but mostly thankful for the last 11 years. Thanks DM for dragging Everton out of the relegation battles. I cant see us being there in the years to come.

I really believe this divorce will be in the interest of both parties -
they have been good for each other but have outgrown each other -
we shall see next season if any of the parties was holding the other one back or keeping it\him on his feet -
best wishes to both as they now go on their own ways down the uncertain path called The Future

    Agree with this.

Moyes was also a great ambassador for Everton and a good public face: none of that breathtaking sliminess and arrogance some other managers exude. I think he was let down by his inherent conservatism when it came to tactics. I wish him well, too, but I am excited at the prospect of getting a new manager. It had all got rather stale with DM. Of course, the board could mess up royally and appoint someone like Lennon or Hughes, but I don't think they will. I am pretty sure DM would have mentioned some names to Bill last night.

This is what I'm hoping. I think Martinez has all the right qualities to work within Everton's budget, and I respect his attacking mentality.

Martinez is used to working on a tight budget and with players that are pretty gash. I'm sure if he came to Everton he would find a way of getting the best out of the attackers and making them effective.

If Wigan do go down too he would be able to bring some of his own players for small fees (McManaman, McCarthy as examples).

Quite looking forward to watching RVP work the channels with Carrick playing as a target man attacking midfielder, hope Vidic has got a new pair of hoofing boots. Think we may see Phil Jones playing the right wing till moyesy can trust him too.

Must say - if this comes off then I am shocked. My guess is that Fergie will be a lifeboat in the background, when the tactics don't work, he will step in.

Vitor Pereira would be my second choice if Roberto Martinez refused to sign for us. I've watched the Portuguese league almost every weekend this year (especially Porto) so I know quite a bit about him.

As it stands he could still win the Portuguese league if he manages to beat Benfica at the weekend and he also managed to get FC Porto into the last 16 of the UEFA Champions League this season when they were defeated by a narrow margin against Malaga.

He seems like a Portuguese version of Martinez if I'm being honest. Whenever I've watched Porto they play attacking football (which is what we all want) and due to them being in the Champions League he obviously has a lot of experience in the major competitions we are aiming to take part in.

I'd be more than happy with him as our new boss - and he could even bring Joao Moutinho with him.

With us getting a new manager I definitely don't want him sold in the summer. I'd like to see what a new manager (and therefore new ideas, ways of playing) could get out of him.

I'll be honest; I don't feel unnerved in the slightest, I actually feel lighter and a bit giddy.

I can understand the fear that some people have but some are acting like we're fucked.

I was far more devastated when Rooney left.
